A word of advice, 1:1 is not very shelf stable and risks going off.. 2 parts sugar to 1 water is shelf stable and at worst will start to crystallize (which can just be remelted).

​@kodycash785 "1 part/2 parts, etc" simply means an amount of ingredients.
For example, if a recipe called for "3 parts" orange juice & "1 part" lime juice, the cup size doesn't matter. It's not an exact measurement, all that matters is that they are relative to each other.
The "3 parts" of orange juice could be in cups, ounces, tablespoons, etc, all that matters is that however much orange juice you decide to put in the recipe has to be three times the amount of how much lime juice you also use.
Does that make sense? I'm terrible at explaining things, lol
