    Would be interesting to see a voltmeter added inline to show what the motor/generator is actually producing based on the flow.

    Podrías construir una exhibición con temática de hidroeléctricas de todo tipo, con conferencias y talleres, pagarían el recorrido, con vídeos instructivos cómo este.
    Para lograrlo crear una campaña de croudfounding que es recolectar donaciones por internet.
    Lo genial es no hablar porque los idiomas son limitantes.
    Con links y datos de internet para ver la historia, el desarrollo de cada una de las hidroeléctricas y las turbinas, motores eléctricos etc.
    Crea un plan, creo que no soy el único fascinado con tus videos.
    Y acá te apoyamos.

    С одной стороны интересно какую мощность он выробатывает, а с другой когда видишь перемычку с толстенной трубы на микроскопическую, то понятно что КПД там процентов 5

    Looks like a way to run outdoor lights, and small appliances.
    In a remote area such as a farm, or ranch anything that doesn't need constent supervision, refuling maintenance, or servicing makes sense. Power irrigation pumps, lights, TV servalience cameras etc. Remotely see whats going on somewhere on a ranch could help ranchers enough to justify several solar-powered, wind, water installations all over the farmers land. You never know a jaguar could have come unnoticed into your nerborehood.
    Buy even a jaguar drinks.

    I guess it makes sense to take the water for the turbine from thr lower part of the dam, because the pressure is higher, thus increasing the efficiency

      Because of the hight of the pipe you still have the same pressure and as the title said its just a spillway
      With higher flow it would make sense to take water from the bottom because than the flow resistance of the pipe might get a limiting factor

      It's also for consistency, the spillway on top removes excess water to avoid flooding while the generator pipe is placed at a point where there is always water. This would be a great system to pair with a small pump to bring water elsewhere and minimize the use of the spillway

      That'd be the least effective place to put it, the highest head pressure is obtained at the base of a dam.

    Wonder if could make these in a factory plastic mold, easy kit. For people with running water on their land would be smart way to have backup power for say a battery bank.

    Spectacular project, but there is no way super glue works like that. I’ve tried to use it and half the time my fingers are all stuck together and the crap I was trying to glue won’t stick no matter what. You had to put real adhesive on after you tacked it with CA.

      There are some materials this glue will stick very firmly, others I use to fix and then use epoxy glue

      Please use stepper motor or brushless 3 phase motor to make the generator motor, in my channel there are many hydro models, try to find which one is suitable for you.
