Great video Tim. thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching and commenting.
I was looking at that battery and wondering why you hadn't removed it. A few seconds later you noticed it and removed it. Nice job. You made reconnecting those ribbon cables look easy. I had great difficulty reconnecting them on a Lenovo I recently repaired. I always try to blow the dust out of that little fan when I have them apart.
Good point. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Great Video Tim . you Know what im gonna say about HP. LOL keep up the good work.
Yes of course Migsy. Thanks as usual.
Muchas gracias no tenia entendido cual era la refacciĂłn para el laptop
I have a bad audio jack on my HP laptop. I'm thinking that it's similar to that charging jack.
You don't seem to be worried about ESD electrostatic discharge.
Hi Tim ... Thanks For the Valuable info ... Quick Question for you
Have a HP laptop which works for random amounts of time then Black Screens with weird pixels , I'v Tested the RAM ( Passed ) Re-installed Windows ( Same outcome ) Cleaned an re-pasted the CPU/GPU and cleaned out fan system ( Same ) Updated the BIOS ( Same ) Checked the Screen connectors to the MB and to the Screen ( Same ) Ran all the Diagnostic tests Using HP's built in tool ( Everything passes on extensive tests ) All Hardware Drivers are upto date . Tried powering with and Without the internal battery ( Same outcome ) and lastly used different Power adaptor ( Same outcome ) .. Would You say it's a MB issue ?? Any suggestions OR Your Thoughts would be Appreciated ..
Thanks Tim
Noel
"Black Screens with weird pixels" Sounds like a graphics chip issue to me. Try connecting to a external monitor and see if you get the same issue on that screen.
@@TimsComputerRepair Hi Tim
Thanks for response , Yes when connected to an external monitor the Screen is pixelated also . Bad Graphics Chip then ?? I did think that just needed clarification .. Thank You Sir
Their is a Romania guy on CZcams that fixes stuff like that with hot glue, his a huge hack
Haha thanks for commenting.
@John Senchak did you watched the full video? He said this is how to replace a power jack,he did not repair the power jack he replace it with a new one.The Romania(Sorin)guy repairs the power jack and if the hinges and plastic base are broken and the customer can`t buy new buttom or lcd back cover then he will use hot gule to do the job with guaranty. You miss alot of points on your statment i do repair also. All parts can be repair or replace and there is what we call REPAIR AND REWORK.
@@linksrepair8078 That loser Sorin guy was a TV repair guy, now a wanna-be computer tech
Stupid HP, making you pull out the motherboard to replace the DC jack! Not surprised though, many brands put it under the screen hinge clip.
