i wish the album vocals were mixed like this. more of a “what went down” vibe. much more headroom
BrawnyLion for me, i honestly felt that yannis’ vocals were TOO up front, Foals losing walter as a vocalist really changed the way they approached the vocals i think . and i don’t really know if i love it
They are absolutely brilliant live. I always appreciate it so much more when a band is as excellent live as they are

Honestly I think this shows how bad the production is... I mean the LIVE bass tone sounds much better than the recorded, oddly mids emphasised, version. Also the guitars are properly EQed, everything fits much better to the vibe of the song. Elan Moulder, Flood and Jamas ford clearly did their job well on the other records!
Legendary. Instant classic.

Those Tom drums are called octobans. I don’t really Know in what songs he uses them because I never saw him using this in live videos
You can hear them around 4:15 during Exits, they play the crazy fast 32nd note drum fills throughout the rest of the song
