Same. The past month was the first time I took a decently long break from genshin and coming back to Yelan who is a strong and fun character plus the 2.7 archon quest being amazing and having so much Xiao involvement has me playing again.

am i the only one who noticed that if you do the quest on different days, when Xiao wakes up his wounds are healed but if you do it all at once they're still there ? i thought that was a pretty cool detail

People should notice that there are two times Paimon feels tired. One is when an exit suddenly appeared to get the traveler out of the "abyss". (We can see from Itto how exhausting to break through a wall.) The other one is when the compass suddenly appeared out of nowhere. Paimon used her power to help us. And also it was Paimon who knocked over the compass and it suddenly activated.
At the start of the final escape, Yanfei said that the compass is an amplifier. That's why they can use it to create a way (something like continuously breaking walls) to the outside. As Xiao used up his power, the exit also closed. But Zhongli not only reopened the exit but was also able to pull Xiao out of the seal. Furthermore, he returned to Liyue and went through a very long conversation with the story teller and not feeling tired. This shows how power he is and that the power within Paimon was currently no match for a god.
Many people think some plots are unnecessary. But I think they are there for other purposes.

Exactly. There is more going on with Piamon here than meets the eye. Her backstory and who she really is will have to start coming out eventually.
Actually the compass activation was because xiao and yelan touched it together

My heart... my soul... Xiao has been burdened by his karma for so long that it feels like he was ready to die at any time. It's not like he has given up on himself it seems, but rather he has lived and fought for too long that he has lost sight of his own significance, that his nature is really just to make sure everyone around him survive. They might think that he's sacrificing himself, but I doubt that is how he sees it. It feels like he doesn't even think of himself at all to begin with, and if he did, he would probably try to survive with everyone and we can see that towards the end of the quest here, that he started to realize that he is present, by talking stuff out with the traveller, or earlier when everyone affirmed him that he was not a burden, or when Zhongli came to rescue him and he realized that Zhongli didn't have to, but there must be a reason that he went out of his way. In a way, Xiao started to learn his own self-worth and significance, and that made me tear up...
The best so far imo i literally didnt expect the emotional impact

@@shenpai1585 Zhongli also is a firm believer that Xiao doesn't deserve the same fate that the other yaksha had to go through and wants Xiao to be free from his obligations of constantly risking his life to protect liyue. Truly the gigachad archon

this is actually the first time I almost cried because of what Xiao did and especially what Zhongli did..so after the quest I build a good artifacts for him..
46:21 I agree, this was the most intense cutscene from Hoyoverse so far. They were gone for some time but sure came back with a bang! Xiao kinda grew on me as time passed. The way he slowly opened up to humans, and with the two lantern rites basically showcasing that. What an emotional ride if he actually died in this video T_T
Out of the three nations we have so far, Liyue has the most impact in terms of lore so far. Mondstadt kinda feels forgotten and Inazuma lost its spotlight pretty fast once we fought Raiden. Liyue kinda feels like their favorite child so far.
I think based on commentary that snezneya is going to be on the other side of mondstadt so I think alot of the mondstadt significance will happen towards the end. We do have alot of open plot lines there to explore.

Dunno bout that. Every island added more and more to inazuma as a region with their individual stories as well as enkanomiya. Liyue doesn't really have those underlying mysteries that inazuma has up until we got to the chasm. There's way more under the surface to inazuma than fans like to give it credit for

No doubt of the best archon quest. The interactions havr funny and serious moments for us not to get too bored, the domains have interesting puzzles, a good lore about the Yaksha, and finally an epic emotional cutscene.
Also we heard the traveler spoke 2 words again. I think thats my favorite part lol

This became my fav quest especially that xiao is my fav i love him soo much it really hurt me see him crying and suffering and in this quest he showed more emotion than usual and showed that he cares about us that he almost died i love him sooo much idc i just love him sooo much🥺❤
The Archon quests lately have been nothing but emotional damage for me i swear the more the story progresses the more it gets sadder and tragic.

In case you don't know, there is a mistranslation.
Oni and Demon(or ghost) are actually the same word both in Japanese and Mandarin.
Ushi was born to fight Onis.
However, despite being an "Oni fighter", he decided to stay by Itto's side just becuz he likes him.
I was crying when Zhongli saved Xiao. I mean... he really IS the best archon ❤
Honestly I’m super glad I stopped playing Genshin for a full year just to come back to this. Sure I had to do about 1-2 weeks of catch-up due to never experiencing Inazuma, but I’m super glad to experience that. Because this quest was the best bit of story content Genshin has done parring the Dragonspine and Golden Apple Archipeligo quests.
This story quest is the best out of all the story quests it’s so emotional😭

I thought nothing could top the Liyue finale in 1.1, but somehow Genshin keeps out-doing themselves again and again.
Just 10 minutes in so far but I just wanted to say I REALLY like the balance you've struck in your editing! Some lets plays on youtube can feel kind of slow, and some cut out so much that I get FOMO as a viewer, but this is a lovely and engaging balance!

Great video as always! Though one thing Id say is maybe take a stream to level some characters and get some artifacts. It can make all the difference in the world. If youve been playing you probably have a bunch of fragile resin saved up that you can use to do a bunch of domains and exp Ley Lines if youre short on mats.

i still like gouba story best. i like happier and hopeful ending... xiao story mirrors ei story, both lost their peers in the same war, but they deal with it differently. ei lock herself in the room, while xiao carry the burden of their mission to the end. both eventually have a change of heart.
@@lagrangewei And Guoba's story was also about self-sacrifice, except that Guoba can't even remember who he is, and that might have saved him from any despair. Or maybe Guoba is just happy by nature, because it feels like he did remember Xiao or something in the previous event.
The quest was so damn great especially after the wait. I expect nothing less from hoyoverse I hope they deliver from now on.

Oh and heres a tip. Build and level Zhongli! My entire play experience got so much better the second I pulled for Zhongli. His shield is so nice that you can play much less cautiously since it negates so much damage as long as you keep it up

this was full package personally great story, granted some dialogue could have been cut out or shortened but overall it was ok, music really good, really nice puzzles and great cutscenes

I don't think this game allows the situation to fully sink in but we are trapped in a cave that is draining our life at a slower pace while what appears to be ghost or the Dementors show our worst days over and over it has been around 20 days before getting out the Chasm this could of been a novel this is a psychological horror. our group is superhuman with wills of iron. I want to know their braking point how far can they go before going insane from the cave or starvation?
