OH damn that metalic bronze looks SO much better than that unattractive pastel yellow, that alone makes is a HUGE improvement over the original. And that warmer yellow for his skin/scales really makes his exposed skin pop. 9 kinds of beautiful

I’ve got 3 of the 4 amplified Digimon builds, I just need Black Wargreymon, and I gotta say I watched this whole video of a man painting and re-assembling his build. This was an absolutely fantastic job at painting a figure and making it look better then what they show on the box.
Absolutely killed it and I’d love to send you mine so you could paint it the same way but that’s just weird sounding. Very well done, keep it up

I'm pretty impressed that the yellow wasnt too yellow and ended up more orangey
The yellow pigments used in most paints have an iron oxide base thus the orange tint when it dries this normally happens when there is no white to counter the darker shades from coming up. 😁

I swear most online listings for this figure I've seen have used images from this or similar custom paint jobs, lol. The metallic colors just make it look more premium and less plasticky
Makeup sponge works really well to remove oil or enamel based paints. No bits of paper or fluff to pick off afterwards.

I love how some people have custom painted it to look like blackwargreymon only for a blackwargreymon to be out on pre-order rn, i think.
You may have already been asked this question but where did you get paint in those bottles. The reason I ask is a do a lot of models and have lots of paint bottles would love larger bottles so they take up less room. Also love your work

This video and another person's video here on CZcams is really inspiring me to try painting models. I am also an artist (digital background painter) but I am more interested in the painting aspect as opposed to building since I am not as precise with my hands when it comes to craft. Plus airbrushing as always looked like a cool process. Also Wargreymon was my favourite Digimon as a child so this video definitely caught my eye. I love how this build of yours turned out, very beautiful and super cool! Subbed, faved and liked :D

Not to knock the creator, but for once I gotta say, the orignal paint job actually wasn't that bad, alot of times the default paint job is so bad that painting is just an absolute mandatory. (which is honestly what gave birth to the hobby imo) This time i'd actually call it acceptable.
That being said i still absolutely love the coloring done, great work.

WarGreymon (Agumon's true mega form) is my childhood favorite Digimon of all time. I like his Terra Force attack (kind of similar position of Son Goku's Genkidama/Spirit Bomb) that fiery huge ball throws directly to the opponents for extra damage. And his Great Tornado attack, that absolutely destroys Venom Myotismon from the Myotismon arc in Digimon Adventure 01. His evil counterpart duplicate of WarGreymon (aka Black WarGreymon) that was introduced to Digimon Adventure 02; which it was made by the control spires by Arukenimon's Spirit Needle. An anti-hero that wants to finds stones, and challenge a great opponent. He and Agumon had a great bond together; even though Black WarGreymon wants to know if he had a heart. An awesome battle between two WarGreymons in the real world during the Oikawa/Myotismon arc in Zero Two/02, was definitely my childhood favorite battle that I saw watching Digimon Adventure 02 on FOX Kids on Saturday mornings in the early 2000s. Until, Black WarGreymon sacrificed his life to protect Cody's grandfather by Oikawa's evil dark aura (which he was possessed by Myotismon). As he sealed the gate from the real world and the Digital world. But the original WarGreymon has great character development and has a awesome bond with his partner, Taichi "Tai" Kamiya throughout the two seasons (even though Tai and Agumon made cameo appearances in 02; because Toei Animation was focusing on the 02 digidestined).
I'm a noob to airbrush. May I ask why you apply prime gray, and then flat black , then the final color on top of black ?

I've definitely thought about repainting mine, at least on the yellow.
I love the colors! just maybe hold back on weathering/wash. I would have loved to seen the clean white for the shield as finish, adding contrast and vibrancy to the shield. I felt like the weathering saturated the over all look of the model.

I haven't painted before. But if I am going to spray the whole part can I just use a spray can instead of an air brush? I think I would only wanna go through air brush if I plan on cover the whole parts with one color.
