I remember Woody telling me a similar thing as he risks his life to defeat Jessie by himself until I held Woody’s hand and said “You’re not doing this without me, Woody!” Then Woody.EXE joins in along my mother. I knew this was going to be an intense battle so Woody.EXE gives me the most powerful knife yet but I gave it back to him. It took 2 hours for me, my 2009 Woody, Mummy and Woody.EXE to finally defeat Jessie and that was the most intense thing Woody.EXE has done throughout his extraordinary reign
I firmly believe that the transition from them looking at the map, to the griffin flying over the battlefield, will forever be one of the best transitions in cinematic history. The soundtrack for the first two movies perfectly captures the essence of Narnia.
It was 2005, and I was 5 years old. This is the first movie I remember seeing in cinemas. I remember being terrified when the White Witch came on screen and telling my dad we had to leave because I was scared. He told me that if we ran away the good guys would lose, but if we stayed strong, the good guys would win. I remember feeling so terrified but I nodded, gulped and turned to face the screen. I felt like I was doing something so brave. This movie is my childhood. Narnia was my home. There were so many times where I'd open my old wooden closet and pray I'd be transported to Narnia. Thank you, CS Lewis, for creating the beautiful world of Narnia.

To the glistening eastern sea Queen Lucy the valiant To the great Western woods King Edmund the just To the radiant southern sun Queen Susan the gentle And to the clear Northern sky King Peter the magnificent Once the king or queen of Narnia is always the king or queen These words slay....
And don't forget that each of those epithets is the opposite of how they started out. Lucy was timid, and became valiant. Edmund went from betrayer to the just, Susun from a know-it-all to someone gentle-spirited. You get the idea.
3:03 oh my god.. what a composition guys.. this composer must be from another world. Most nostalgic, wonderful, beautiful, a music which can carry u to another world.
Susan, was a wonder. She might seem horrible in some eyes, she is a lost angel. Her life continues without her siblings, she suffered and remembered what she took for granted. She had so much to handle and was hurt. Her eyes are like the reflection of the stars in the ocean. Her hair is like a gentle breeze. As she went on she learned more, and remembered more. No prince fit for her, only herself is worthy. And she knows she is a queen. Although, everyone in Narnia hated her for forgetting so easily, deep inside she believed. Peter was loyal, brave, kind, strong. He deserved everything he had. His life was shaped by narnia, nobody could be such a great leader. Sadly, he does not get to continue life. His sword is his life, he fights for the greater good. His death shocked many, peter was different after narnia. Edmund was strong, he just wanted his siblings to be happy. Narnia changed his perspective and he will forever be a king. He was young and wanted but equality. He knew he had to fight for everything and everyone. Lucy is brave, loyal, she never gives up. She is a leader , a Queen. She fought for everyone, once she wants something she fights. Young yet brave. She made her siblings who they are today, she didnt have to die. She wanted a different life, but she learned that being her was the cause of everything that happened. Everybody has a purpose, and has true potential. Never give up.
Such a wildly underrated piece of music. Each piece of it perfectly evokes the feeling of what its meant to represent. The grand and regal, yet gentle horns of Narnia, and the more frantic tone shift when see hear the Witch's side. Not to mention the mesmerizing and powerful use of percussion. It literally feels like a desperate final stand. I could listen to this in loop for hours.

My favourite movie I will always remember this scene when Aslan said: to the glistening eastern sea, I give you Queen Lucy the Valiant. To the great western woods, King Edmund the Just. To the radiant southern sun, Queen Susan the Gentle. And to the clear northern skies, I give you King Peter the Magnificent. Once a king or queen of Narnia, always a king or queen of Narnia. May your wisdom grace us until the stars rain down from the heavens.

Watching Narnia after being a born again believer is actually insane. The biblical parallels this movie has is outstanding. C.S Lewis was way ahead of his time.
Yea it does, I remember hearing this in my head as I was talking to Woody.EXE about an epic battle against Jessie and I was so happy when he finally approves it. Me, my 2009 Woody, my mother and Woody.EXE get together and I loved the way how my 2009 Woody just angrily stares at Jessie thinking “JESSIE ITS OVER!” I cried as Mummy holds hands with him and then I take hands with Woody.EXE saying “for Queen Elizabeth right?” Then Woody.EXE yells out “FOR QUEEN ELIZABETH II!” After 3 whole hours, Woody.EXE finally gets ready to use his knife to stab Jessie real hard as my 2009 Woody covers my mother to protect her. This was the most beautiful things Woody.EXE has approved on during his extraordinary reign. *TRUE STORY!*
I like what Gregson did with the percussion there. Very unconventional but works wonderously. And I'm currently working on my own arrangement of this for strings, you bet it's going to be for strings and percussion because that line is so cool!
0:37 my childhood memories start rolling in my head.. 5:05 sit more straight...and feel the words... "FOR NARNIA AND FOR ASLAN".. run into the field. My first fantasy movie in my life😐
Fun Fact: CS Lewis (The guy who wrote Narnia) was a huge fan of Classics and named Narnia after a small ancient town in Italy around the time of Rome first founding in 753 b.c.
Heck, LotR has far more believable CGI compared to the newer movies. Narnia, LotR and some others had people who actually cared about making everything feel like it was there and it shows.
“Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.”
“Aslan is a lion- the Lion, the great Lion." "Ooh" said Susan. "I'd thought he was a man. Is he-quite safe? I shall feel rather nervous about meeting a lion"..."Safe?" said Mr Beaver ..."Who said anything about safe? 'Course he isn't safe. BUT HE'S GOOD. He's the King, I tell you.” ― C.S. Lewis, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
Well, she was kinda right. In The Last Battle Aslan is straight up revealed to be a man. But it's a very controversial book in the series and some choose not to even accept it as canon.
@@porcupioneergaming2907 Personally It's one of my favorite books in the series, just after The Horse and His Boy and The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe
If you truly love this composition, its important to honor the man that made it. His name is Harry Gregson Williams. Its incredible to me that the spotlight of excellence mostly falls on actors. While its certainly earned, its a gross injustice, and needs to be corrected. Think about this for a moment. Harry breathed true life into the heart of cherished childhood memory's. He sat down, by himself, and nailed it. Check out this guys work! Man on Fire, Shrek, The Equalizer, etc. Honor this guy by knowing his name.
From what I've seen he actually will like arrangements of his score on here, and will respond to people who send him their arrangements of his music. Any artist that encourages other artists like that is awesome in my book. The main reason I decided to make my own arrangement of this, for strings and percussion (because I could never omit the percussion line from this piece, it's so cool!).
Into a closet they go Children of men Into an adventure they fall Past the warm clothes Where winters night rules And spring never shows Into Aslan's realm Into the Lion's realm Where all is not as it seems

In 2017 I wrote an English essay with this movie as my related text I did so well in that assignment and I used the exact same essay in my end of year exam. Thank you CS Lewis, Disney and everyone involved in bringing Narnia to life.
@@DLR1997Well technically this series was made after LOTR, so he going forth he is right. LOTR is the definitive champion of the genre, and best movie series ever.
I honestly would love a season dedicated to the Pevensies ruling Narnia in the Golden Age, the politics and battles would be so epic. If Netflix actually gets around to actually doing something with
that sounds amazing but the Golden Age supposedly didn't have as much drama because it was a peaceful era. Whenever the Pevensies or other children are called to Narnia is when Narnia needs their magical help for some large crisis. edit: me and two other girls (srry I'm using my dad's acc) were assigned to write a short story about what happened between the magician's nephew and the lion, the witch and the wardrobe. We're not finished yet but I could share it with you if you want.
I wouldn't let Netflix touch this. They have a habit of defacing anything that is even somewhat friendly to the idea of God/worship, or belief in God. Just look at the contradicting monstrosity that is the castlvania series.
We have all the Narnia movies on dvd and we have all the books plus a really big book with Aslan on the front that’s a giant combination of all the books. I remember my mom reading us the big book, but we haven’t finished it yet as far as I know haha. When I was little and it was storming outside, my two brothers would come into mine and my sister’s room and we would play Narnia. I was always Lucy, even though my brother playing Edmund is younger than me, but that never mattered. The first Narnia movie will always be one of my favorite movies, and I’m so thankful that this story exists. Hearing the music is so nostalgic!

The CGI in the Lion King was amazing, but it looked almost too good to be true at times. The movie was definitely visually breathtaking to be fair.

Watching Narnia after being a born again believer is actually insane. The biblical parallels this movie has is outstanding. C.S Lewis was way ahead of his time.
🦁👼
Why don't they make movies like that again???;-;
The audience now doesn't care about quality or story.. just a bunch of action scenes with popular characters/ actors is good for them..

It gives us ROYAL feelings while listening to this song. Legendary song

I like what Gregson did with the percussion there. Very unconventional but works wonderously. And I'm currently working on my own arrangement of this for strings, you bet it's going to be for strings and percussion because that line is so cool!

Fun Fact: CS Lewis (The guy who wrote Narnia) was a huge fan of Classics and named Narnia after a small ancient town in Italy around the time of Rome first founding in 753 b.c.
That Town still exist, It has a different name today but when C.S. went there he felt very inspired
Said by an Italian, Rome was founded in 753 B.C. but the Italian name of Rome its "Roma", that is actually similar to the name "Narnia"
@@francesca8763 Roma doesn’t rhyme with Narnia lol
he was also a good friend of Tolkien
This small city is Narni, which is in the region of Umbria

the cgi for the animals in these movies are so much better than the movies now, such as the remade Lion King
Heck, LotR has far more believable CGI compared to the newer movies. Narnia, LotR and some others had people who actually cared about making everything feel like it was there and it shows.
“Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors;
and the King of glory shall come in.
Who is this King of glory?
The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.”
Amen
A truly magnificent piece of work. Aslan would be proud.

If you read the book the entire book a lot of thing can be related to the christen bible

He's the King, I tell you.”
― C.S. Lewis, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
H Nywening the true king
Well, she was kinda right. In The Last Battle Aslan is straight up revealed to be a man. But it's a very controversial book in the series and some choose not to even accept it as canon.
@@porcupioneergaming2907 Hmm, yes, I find the Last Battle very disappointing theologically.

That's it, that's the moment
When ever I miss my childhood, I come here to refresh it again. It never feels old. Aslan will always be the best king. 💙
I think that the honor should go to God because he gave us the ability to create things. We shouldn't worship people.
How can people dislike this amazing creation! This song brings back so many good memories.

I honestly would love a season dedicated to the Pevensies ruling Narnia in the Golden Age, the politics and battles would be so epic. If Netflix actually gets around to actually doing something with
YES. and it better have this song in it or we'll riot
that sounds amazing but the Golden Age supposedly didn't have as much drama because it was a peaceful era.
@@davidsadler7655 The Horse and His Boy take place during the Golden Age and would make a great movie.
I wouldn't let Netflix touch this. They have a habit of defacing anything that is even somewhat friendly to the idea of God/worship, or belief in God.
Just look at the contradicting monstrosity that is the castlvania series.
Netflix will find a way to ruin it

We have all the Narnia movies on dvd and we have all the books plus a really big book with Aslan on the front that’s a giant combination of all the books. I remember my mom reading us the big book, but we haven’t finished it yet as far as I know haha. When I was little and it was storming outside, my two brothers would come into mine and my sister’s room and we would play Narnia. I was always Lucy, even though my brother playing Edmund is younger than me, but that never mattered. The first Narnia movie will always be one of my favorite movies, and I’m so thankful that this story exists. Hearing the music is so nostalgic!
