for who doesn’t know: they are working on a big ass event with story and everything which is why it’s coming so late, we’ll meet several characters and allegedly they’re making a planet for it, i doubt it’s permanent though and no info about how many characters will be obtainable yet.

This is exactly what happens when you set your expectations too high. You lose all the value a character offers just because said character didn't meet what you expect him to do. JQ may not provide healing, and his debuff application during his ULT maybe limited to a certain number per ULT, but on top of these, he also provides stackable def shred and increases ULT damage.

you could also see in the live stream that yunli is displayed to have two ults, therefore you have the novelty to ult the first one whenever you want (ideally before the enemy attack) without having to worry about wasting energy

I love sparkle but Hoyo keeps doing her dirty by not releasing any characters that synergize with her compares to Acheron, Robin, and Ruan Mei, and even Firefly getting her own harmony MC and pairing with Ruan Mei and getting Gallager... Sparkle is still relying on DHIL, QQ, and Seele. wtf.
As if that wasn't bad enough, the MoC and PF resonance things keep pandering to DoT comps and lightning weaknesses and such.
I have no idea where you're getting the whole "Hoyo keeps doing sparkle dirty" considering not only is this her first rerun, but she's also one of the most highest requested characters for a rerun since a lot of people skipped her because they were saving for Acheron. Also, sparkle doesn't "rely" on any one lol, there are certain characters and specific comps that she can make even better like DHIL and E2 Acheron since she's the BiS support for all E2 Acheron teams. She's also highly valuable on both Dual dps teams and sustain-less dps comps. This is a really weird take.

I said I know she's not bad, but Hoyo tends to make resonance effects in MoC and PF that fits new characters like a glove where they can really shine, Sparkle never had that. They also tend to release new characters that provide strong synergy to characters after their release, all of sparkle's best synergies are older characters.
Maybe acheron e2 is one, I'm not sure about that tbh, e2 acheron is whale only territory I'm afraid and I'm looking at more f2p options.
The goal of my response wasn't really to address the point you were making, but merely a disagreement with the assessment of her in relation to MoC resonance effects. There was never really a reason to cater an entire MoC after a character that specializes in restoring and buffing SP restoration and usage, especially when Acheron was the character following her release that the MoC was built around, they weren't going to sacrifice not catering an entire MoC cycle to someone as powerful as Acheron.
They are rerunning Sparkle with Jiaoqiu most likely due to him potentially not being skill point positive and given that even after the nerfs he's still Acherons best Nihility support and in tandem Sparkle makes even more sense since she also doubles as one of Acheron's (at E2+) best harmony supports. Even if you aren't running E2 Acheron, she most likely is going to have great synergy with Jiaoqiu.

Yeah it’s very possible. Of 1.x characters now the only one who hasn’t been rerun is ratio, I’d be surprised if he appeared again anytime this year. I can definitely see BS and Acheron rerun together

Unless they decide Firefly is Rerunning on the second half of V2.6, I could see that point being Ratio's Rerun, They need a least 6+ Months between when he stopped being free before he reruns I think.

This is not the first collab the honkai series has done that actually has a permanent playable character from another series. Assuming you did the collab in HI3 and obtained the character you can literally still play as Asuka from Evangelion in HI3. Let's not spread misinformation before we actually have any concrete info on what they are doing for the Fate collab.

She have 3 types of counter attack
Normal counter = throw sword
Enhanced counter = downward slash with bigger form of the sword
Ultimate counter = downward slash with the biggest form of the sword
If you use her Ultimate if no one attack her... she will do her Ultimate attack but a smaller version of the ult which is enhance counter not the ultimate counter attack
After using her Ultimate If the enemy dies her enhanced counter attack will still activate will attack the next random enemy that will spawn
So she will also be good at Pure Fiction
YUNLI will be good at all modes MOC, PF etc
I understand the dissatisfaction with Yunli's kit. To each their own. But saying "you pick up that character so she does only 1 thing" is pretty stupid to say. I mean, what does Acheron do? she presses the funny ult button. what does firefly do? she presses skil, skill, skill, skill. It's not like there is much depths with all the other characters.
For Yunli at least you have an interactive way of playing, by having to use your ult at the correct timing (or the counter isnt as good)
Also, if you have E2 acheron, then Jiaqou is a trap. if you have E0 he's fine
Indeed, for me a character's intricacy doesn't come from the way they play in battle, but rather from the characters they work with. Because realistically, all characters kinda play the same; especially when you auto-battle basically everything. Now the fun part is which characters does a new unit work the best with? What are their best synergies? And I think there's some fun things to do with Yunli, like a double Destruction/Physical little girl combo for twice as many counter-attacks; or a duo with Jade whom she should be really good with. Some will go for a hyper carry team with Tingyun/Sparkle/Huohuo. Fore these reasons, I think Yunli should be fun.

Her sword is sorta like Vibranium. It collects the energy of the crash and retaliates with the force it stores up, or so what some of the pre-release information about her lore was. That's why she chucks the sword so she can gather as much energy without putting herself at risk. During this time she heals herself and braces for impact when she changes stance because she wants to take the full brunt of the assault using her sword as a shield. She then discharges it by embiggening it and landing the destructive blow on the enemy. It's a cool concept, but I can see why you would think it wasn't without context.
Also, she will be niche... in kinda a good way. HYV has shown us with reprising Cocolia that has like 4-5 consecutive turns in a row. Cocolia being taunted means she will only get targeted and retaliate with massive strikes while also dealing with the adds that enable the buff effects of Apocalyptic Shadow. Obviously, I don't mean specifically Cocolia since she doesn't have phys weakness, but for other encounters where they do this because of the speed requirments being so high, it would mean you could run her without SPD and go full on ATK instead. We also don't really know how much the buffs from the new enemies will warrant the counter mechanics to resurface because... as we all know, HYV likes to put out a character and then implement their exact beneficial situation a patch later.
March being a sword user isn't random if you follow her character story, she wants to use a sword but her six-phased ice could never make it work, so she stayed with her bow and arrow
Don't expect from content creators to pay attention to such small details

Here's who I'd want to see from the Fate/UBW collab and my guestimation of their types rarities, and paths. If we get even half of these characters, I'd be satisfied.
Saber- 5* Wind Preservation
Archer- 5* Lightning Hunt
Gilgamesh- 5* Imaginary Erudition
Berserker- 5* Physical Destruction
Lancer- 4* Wind Hunt
Caster- 4* Ice Harmony

They really screwd the new characters over. Ain't nobody gonna pull yun li over Huo Huo. Not only is she a fantastic healer but she brings a wealth of utility to several different team comps. Yun li is just not completeing with that value. JQ from my understanding has been nerfed into the ground. Still best in slot with Acheron but outside of Acheron he isn't going to stand out from current characters. Compared to Sparkle who is one of the top supports in the game. No shot am i pulling him over her. Especially when she one of 2 supports whose buffs make up for not running 2 Nihillty with Acheron. An okay unit a niche unit vs 2 of the best units in the game. The new characters never even stood a chance

They will probably only release 1 or 2 characters for the collab so it might be Archer and Saber but it would be nice to have Gilgamesh and Cu Chulainn (the Gae Bolg guy you mentioned). Let's hope they make it worth it!
The Lancer your thinking of Is Cú Chlainn. Archer (Emiya) I could see as a erudition character while Gilgamesh would be destruction if they get them. Rin I can see bit she would be a support probably a support that gives damage like hanya.
