My interpretation is very different 😅😢 This is her true self breaking up from " what the world wants her to be" self. She's finally separating herself from the masked Jisoo like a flower leaving it's only scent in the spring. Spring is the season when flowers bloom and instead of blooming, she's growing. The metaphor of her looking at her own reflection in the mirror symbolizes her 2 different personas were all scattered throughout the mv. She's been saying "im ok, hope you too" like farewell to her exhausting nice and pretty self. Well..this is just my personal take 😊😂
That's a totally valid interpretation and makes a lot of sense, I guess I went with more of a "relationship" -ish kind of meaning between two people and not with yourself, your theory is much deeper! Thanks for sharing!
Your theory also makes a lot of sense in the way I looked at the mural in D4 which is then referenced in Shut Down, so kudos to you!

@@DGReactseah and I think this is about herself 'blooming' for the album itself is called "ME", so my first impression is her growing, or a talk with herself (e.g. the mirror talking to Jisoo, the contrast edits from a sweet, and held back Jisoo into a bold Jisoo, and freeing herself from a leash"). Just my personal opinion😅
All solos MV's from the Blackpink girls are showing each at her element, but never without hints of the others, the solos MV's present the girls as main, but never let you forget she is part of something bigger(Blackpink), is very Easter egg, very subtle, its YG
Jennie the it girl that won't be so affected to be cheated on because she knows her value, and she can shine solo
Lisa is the cool kid that will be everything cool, and say, what? I'm having fun.
Rosè is introverted, girly, gracious, dreamy, Goddess like in a kid-woman-musician-powerfull-vulnerable part she is the dream inside the heart, the one that you won't give up
Jisoo is mature, fun, beautiful, innocent and hard, fragile but strong enough to fly. And if you step on it, she will grow in the soil again, maybe a different tree, flower or whatever, but you cannot stop this force of nature.
Edit: But I think Rosé was the one that the theme was what you saying, Jisoo said so many times, she was showing her colors, in her voice, acting, dance and fashion, I think is cute to have an idea about the MV, but if the artist that are in the mv said: " What I wanted to show is X, why you fan will contradict what he/she said, because your interpretation is yours, not theirs. You can have yours, but in the end, they are the ones that worked hard and come up withh the concept and every detail. Respect. Because is so hard to do..... So many things can go wrong....

I think her MV's a story (inspired by Everything, Everywhere, All At Once): the start she realises she's just someone's "Flower", doing what's asked of her, but she's living a lie to herself. The Next Day (Chapter 1) she makes different decisions, leading to parallel Jisoos, exisiting at the Same Time (Chapter 2), and Same Place (Chapter 3)... there's at least 3 Jisoo's; one who gets sad/depressed about her situation, one who embraces it (dancing in the lobby and showing off her pearl necklace), and one who walks away from it (and gives up the wealth, the one looking 'longingly' at the pearl necklace in the window)... but by the end, the one who embraces it, tears off her necklace, and even the sad Jisoo eventually removes her necklace.

This was very Jisoo. Some thoughts I had when I first watched this:
1. Actor Jisoo showed up.
2. Jisoo's legs need their own credit on this video.
3. If there was any doubt that Jisoo could be straight-up sexy, that's over.
4. Dior must be patting themselves on the back right now for having her under contract.
Of course, her voice was incredible, and this song is right up my alley - it reminds me of 1950's musicals with it's jazzy sound and choreography. I don't think I've seen a music video that was so good at keeping my attention on the main star - I had to watch a number of times before I could see the back-up dancers (who were fantastic). Much of cinematography is keeping focus directed where you want it, and this one was really, really good, it was hard to take your eyes off of Jisoo - well, it usually is but... ;)
I was looking forwards to your reaction to this, and you didn't disappoint. I'm curious as to how this will play Internationally. It's catchy and the M/V is striking, but it's definitely not a club song, so we'll see. I'm not expecting records, but I won't be disappointed, and I don't think that Jisoo will be either, she did what she wanted and she'll be fine with it.

The whole aesthetic of the video makes it look like a big Dior commercial which i am absolutely here for.
This somehow sounds exactly like what i expected ( didnt watch the teasers ) while at the same time being completely different from what i expected...HOW?

Honestly my favorite solo from the members.
Jisoo's voice is amongst my favorite voices in the world, there's just something so unique about her vocal tone that makes it even hard to explain. Almost like her voice makes 2 notes at the same time, like she as integrated harmonies in her vocal chords? Idk.
Visuals are just... I mean its Jisoo so 😂
For some reason the scene/shot that sticks with me the most is when she breaks the pearl necklace, something so beautiful and powerful at the same time, idk, this scene really stands out for me.

The way Jisoo mesmerizes me, the way she makes me speechless is absurd I can't even explain it... Jisoos Christ! It's about herself, her presence, her gaze, her voice, her personality (because I've seen so much of her too so it gives extra layers of amazement), her delivery, the way she moves, so many things I can't even describe for real, she's hypnotizing in so many ways

Great reaction, so many good insights about the symbolism in the video. The music, the dance, the scenery, the dresses, Jisoo's voice and and of course Jisoo herself - everything about this is so beautiful. It is funny seeing how many reactors are rendered speechless by it all.
Jisoo had a big participation in the pre produ tion(Soooooomiiiii, you almost spoiled!!!!) , during the recording and post production. And Jisoo's brain is so interesting if you pay attention on her, she was the mother-daughter of this girls for years and she is so unique, intellectually speaking. They are very smart, but as Teddy said once Jisoo is street smart.
All solos, from Jennie's Solo, to Jisoo - Flower 🌸 all MV's are connected, they all reference each other, and ALL have Blackpink somewhere.

This MV dropped at eleven o'clock last night in my time zone, I was not expecting it until midnight so I missed a little bit of the fun. It had been out for 42 minutes before I realized it was early and clicked on it! When I did, it already had over 5 Million views! Not a surprise to me, I completely expected it to break the internet. I stayed up until almost 2 am watching reactions. :)

My thought was it reminds me of the "Girl with the ribbon" a fairytale in which the ribbon contains a Spell so the Girl wearing it cant speak freely and is bound or she will(quite literally) lose her head. And she cant Take it Off either or she dies. it's time I've been waiting for this moment for a long time. and as expected Jisoo did not disappoint me. many people thought their solo was going to be the least successful. but the facts show us that it will be the member who will have the most or at least as good than the other . not because she's the most talented but because it's just common sense. Jennie had an incredible start 4 years ago, then Rose did better than Jennie, Lisa did better than Rose and Jisoo will do better than Lisa all simply because BLACKPINK's notoriety and popularity has only grown over the years. . if Jennie does another solo she will probably beat Jisoo. moreover JISOO benefits from this very big popularity in the fashion world thanks to DIOR and Cartier who made great promotion for her. Jisoo is also the only member of BP to date to have touched 3 different media: music, fashion and cinema, drama. this will inevitably bring fans who may be outside the KPOP world. This song suits her perfectly and she is amazing. of all BP's solo songs this is one of my favorite with Gone de Rose. on the other hand, I don't really see where they put all the money he is talking about??? for me this MV can't cost more than some BP's MV's.

I doubt jisoo's solo will perform better than lisa's simply bcs it is a full korean song and it won't have the same international effect as lalisa or money. Flower is still my fav solo tho.
@@motivatedvergil9145 she's already got better pre oder sales than Born pink and most of the people said than she will be the very first million salers female korean soloist . so it's already a huge succes . and because it's a full korean song she as the best chance to win more awards and music show in korea than Lisa or Rose . the chinese fandom of Jisoo is as big than the Lisa chinese fandom and she's in general very popular in asia with Jennie . but yes we know than the U.S or European Jisoo fan's are less bigger than the other members . in fact the only place where she can do less well than the others is on the Western international awards MTV awards, European awards etc...

The korean reactors says its beats,melody or intsrumental sounds like of korean traditional music.. I watch koreans reactors first bcos we non koreans dont know what the lyrics really meant cos the subs doesnt give it justice.

As much as this looks like a rather regular breakup song, i think its actually about something else.
I think Jisoo is playing the role of a high end " hired companion" because Flower Girl is the term that was used to describe these "rented lovers" in China, Japan and Korea. Thats why we see her in hotel lobies kind of avoiding all eye contact with anyone ( shame is common in this profession so is heartache ). She struggles with her own morality.
The yellow building ( its a set ) was originally painted for a movie named Flower House ( which is a br0thel ) and the movie was about the struggles of a "flower girl".
I could definitely be wrong but a lot of things seem to point in that direction
Even the dancers, wearing mask that probably symbolize that they are anonymous but also "all the same".
Even in the lyrics , there's a line that was translated , i dont remember exactly, but something like you and me were in great love or something. But the korean words actually say You and me it was hot, implying physicality a lot more than romance. Or when it says " nothing is left but the scent of a flower" flower girls wear perfume yes but after certain , let's say bedroom actions, there is a smell that remains.
Like i said i could be wrong but i would be very suprised that all these extremely precise parallels are only a coincidence

I heard something about a pearl necklace but not that it gives bad luck. Apparently if you break a pearl necklace the pearls represent all the tears you will cry.
for me, flower is an okay song.. but All Eyes on ME is better for a title. EDM fits her nice, also its similar to Clarity, song that she used for YG audition and concert so she really nailed it. Another this is, Jisoo personal song preference is more on alternative rock and indie, you can see it in her personal spotify playlist.. I think an alternative pop rock song will also suit her as a solo song.
Half agree. Been listening to both at the gym but Flower is a whole different vibe than Blackpinks songs (solo/ group). I now prefer flower over All eyes on me
