Revitalization Of The Jordan Downs Housing Projects, In Watts, Ca.

At a recent public hearing. A panal of officials spoke of creating this Urban Village in Watts, on the current sight of the Jordan Downs Housing Projects. Although not said in these words, "A place where well-to-do residents will live along side low income residents, gang bangers crack heads, drug dealers and every other problem faced in neglected communities". If you go on line to www.hacla.org and look at the file named "Housing Authority Of The City Of Los Angeles Year 2011 Agency Plan" located under public documents. it states that current residents of the Jordan Downs Will have to meet new reqiurements to reside in the new Jordan Downs. those that do not qualify or cannot afford one of the new homes,will be transferred to the Pueblo Del Rio's Or to Two Other Listed Housing Projects in Los Angeles,Ca.
