As someone who constantly felt up each bag to get the characters I want, I'm sad that they moved to boxes. But the QR code thing might be helpful unless they change that in future series.

The most annoying part about this series for me is not duplicates it's the fact that it isn't out in my local toy store yet, and I am actually from Denmark.

I’m from the UK and used to have a similar issue with Games Workshop (Warhammer). I once found a full priced set in Tokyo that was cheaper than in the UK where it was manufactured :~O

The thing on the bottom isn't actually a QR code it's a data Matrix code. and if you download an app that can scan data Matrix code and and find a guide that tells you the correct numbers it's way more accurate
And it only works for the larger codes.
If you find a new box in store. Pick 12 different codes for example 432S3, 134S3 and so forth. You should be fine
@@JCGold98 It was only the early production runs that had the smaller codes. From now going forward, it'll all be the bigger codes.
The QR code scan is 100% accurate with the larger data matrix, so 100% the best way to identify figures now.

I have all of them but the barbarian woman and the harpie, the goat herder and muahroom sprite in triplet and doubles of the gym girl and triceratops guy. Love the Vampire Knight and Noir detective.

I'm so glad to see someone else bringing up this issue.
So many people are just ignoring that this is a problem and it's quite irritating.
I've also head of people getting kicked out of stores for using scales. So thats another issue with it too.

It isnt illegal to see how much a product weighs, its like you precisely calculating how many you can carry if you stole them.
It is not the fault of the consumer that the company uses the wrong kind of packaging and a random blind method to sell different kind of products.
I am willing to pay 4 euros for a medieval figure with accessories, I am not willing to pay anything for taking on excess figures that I do not want, nor need. They are selling 25 completely different products, which appeal to different buyers, with the sole exception of collectors that want the whole set. Nobody benefits from random blind packaging, it is wasteful and wrong.

Each minifigure cost $5 cuz if you do five times 15 you get 75.
Name suggestions. Harpy : Jared. Barbarian : Judy. Gamer : May. Groomer : Shedzu (reference to a shitzu, a type of dog). Paralympic : Sorry (agreeing with teddymayhem). Detective : Murphy. Weightlifter : Myla. Train : Pat. Mushroom : Carly. Bat : Drac. Goatguy : Jesus. Triceratops : PreMaria.
And yes, Drac is a reference to Dracula and premaria bsong the PREhistoric version of someone named Maria.
Just at Walmart and the rack of blind boxes , almost every single one was popped already , so I just looked in and got what I wanted
Apparently if you use an app that can read those codes it’ll give you a serial number and there’s guides online that have the serial number and the minifigure it belongs to
At some Lego stores they have a figure trade in, so if you get a duplicate or a figure you don't want you go to the trade in stand and trade your figure for a different one. I'm glad that they have this now that they're in boxes. Does anyone else have a figure trade in stand at their local Lego store?

My idea for the paralympic racer is a running track that goes around the hole city and he has his house beside the track. Thats a cool idea

I feel like the Paralympic should be named Gary. In the 22-ville finale, Terry said “Wait did someone say Gary?”. So I thought it would be a cool reference. Gary could either be as evil as Terry or the opposite. My head canon is that he was actually friends with Terry until he realized their friendship was a fraud, and he is extremely mad at him for what he did in 22-ville. I heard a lot of other people saying Larry which is also a good name for him.
Name him Larry, this name is associated with good luck and being not magically poofed by arrows or zap or firecracker - you name it

I like the red herring Lego put in the Film Noir Detective. The question is, was the red herring's distraction enough for the criminal to escape, or did he accidently leave more evidence to help the detective track him down? 🤔
Yeah, looking and tracking the different QR codes worked for me--though I realized I had to write them down, because I did end up buying a few dupes. Sorry you don't live near me--I'd have sold ya the handicapped sprinter for $4--I have two now.

My lego store lets you swap your figure out if you get a duplicate, they keep a box of assembled figures under the counter

so far using a qr code scanner i have had 100 percent accuracy, you cant go by the 5 numbers/letters under the qr code, and the QR code has to be the bigger one, but besides those two things ive had no issue with scanning
The 5 letter code was only useful when weighing as if you had 2 of a similar weight, but different codes, they'd be different figures.
As you say though, the current QR/Data Matrix code scan has proven to be 100% accurate.

The issue is not with people trying to game the system by finding out which figure is in the packaging, the issue is that they are random and blind at all. For a set that is most used to armybuild with certain figures, the immense overproduction of about 22 of them is very wasteful and also bothers collectors trying to complete a set.
Print to demand is certainly what they should do. They could use open blister style packaging which allows you to see through it, or it could also be done selling each figure directly through their website or the lego stores themselves. It doesn't make sense for a company that prides itself for accessibility and quality, that they are so wasteful and not accept the reality of the situation that certain figures are much higher in demand, essentially overprinting some and severaly underprinting others.
While they are at it, it could also be an excellent way to reintroduce older minifigures through their website. Some of them like the bear knight or the raven knight have gone up to 20 to 30 dollars, which is a completely unreasonable pricepoint and people still need them. For every castle fan that joins the Lego community, there are at least a few more needed, possibly hundreds of them if they decide to armybuild.
The barcode definitely works me and my mom got the train kit and mushroom girl minifigures by scanning the QR code
I am not physically Challenged, But it still makes me extremely happy that Lego has such a diverse cast of figures. From Wheelchair users to prostetics and such. It really gives a feeling of everyone being seen as people, and everyone can have a figure they can see themselves in.

With the marvel in the last Disney series, I got super lucky and got to a cold store when they just had opened a case of them so I grabbed 12 random and was able to get the whole set into trips. The first trip was 12 randoms and I had two duplicates the second trip I got five and finished it out with this. I haven’t been able to find a Kohl’s store that has a case out yet I did find some at Walmart and bought five and I got one duplicate.
I don’t do the scale method. It just is weird I don’t do the numbers on the back method because those aren’t always correct. I worked in production and sometimes the numbers from different buildings are different even though it’s the same product. So I’m gonna do it old-school, and just do blind boxes and buy some if I have duplicates that go in my bin of extras if I don’t go on the shelf.
If there are certain ones that I really really want I’ll make sure I’ll do eBay and pay a couple extra dollars just so I know I get the right one

I was really lucky when picking up the boxes because I managed to get six boxes none duplicates and I guess a little ironically the second one I opened was the one you were missing

I think this change up sucks, I mean yeah it's more eco-friendly but I don't think anyone wants any duplicates. (Also name the athlete with prosthetic legs Barry but correct me if the name has already been used)
I only wanted the dinosaur suit and vampire knight from this series. The QR codes work, but there are two different types of code for Europe and America... i accidentally had the lists for US codes (in Uk), So got the Pet groomer first, as the US code for that is same as EU code for Vamp Knight (I know right?... confusing).

I had 100% accuracy from going to Lego store, and finding a complete box, the figures are in sets of three ,so three boxes next to each other in straight line are the same figure

IMPORTANT you can scan the big qr codes on the boxes, they will reveal a number that corresponds to a minifigure.
R = Mexico, which should apply to minifigures sold in the USA, Canada and possibly Latin/South America.
S = Czech Republic, which should apply to minifigures sold in the UK, EU. In Australia, we got the S-factory codes for Marvel Minifigures Series 2, but I’m not 100% sure about Series 25.

I usually don't like these, as the minifigs are waaay too obnoxious and overdetailed (that harpy is such wasted potential, should've just been yellow with brown wings and legs), but Basil is the most perfect modern minifig i've ever seen. PERFECT mix of a more simplistic style and more modern detail. The helmet is a bit disappointing, but oh well.
The paralympic stuff is just silly and pointless, and i say that as someone who's missing a limb. I'll take hooks and peglegs over insulting pandering or "inclusivity" any day.
So lame, quite literally in this case. :)
The musclegirl also seems like pointless pandering to current beliefs, but i like the print. It's not too much, although the accessories barely look like lego. If it wasn't for the "sport" print on the torso it could've been quite versatile (like a barbarian or something), although bright pink might be a bit too much for non-modern builds.
Still, not bad.

I bought 16 and got 11 of the series the only one I don't have yet is the gamer girl, Its funny how it works though my first 3 figures were the disables running guy but it seems you have had a hard time getting him.

Where are you finding mini figures at? I have checked the local Walmart, Target, and Meijer. I found only some at Meijer a week ago, and have had no luck since then in the past few weeks

Two years ago I went to a local Lego shop as I had a dentist appointment before school and my mum got me and my two brothers a Lego mini figure each (this was series 22)
And the employees had several boxes hidden in a locked cupboard that had all of the figures there (they where still in the bag )
