Khanyisa steps in to make sure she gets some of the attention Adine is giving the other elephants - as Mambo, Timisa, Zindoga and Kumbura all come in for greetings with the human matriarch.
Poor Timi, sad that she has to keep running and trying to avoid Z&M and K too at times!! ☹️ She is such a sweet and precious girl that don't bother no one! Bless you beautiful Timi and please Lord, keep her safe!! You are my favorite!!! 🐘❣️💞💗💖

Herd does their best to keep the elephants from doing this type of behavior. You have to remember one thing boys will be boys. She is still in good hands.
Hopefully her good "Jr Matriarch" skills from Tokwe are helping her with managing this busy bunch! 🌱🐘💚

I think Kumbura will always be the most attached to Khanyisa. She certainly has shown her great love and constant care for her. Timi is so beautiful and sweet that the boys will always be close by with their eyes on her.

Hope Timisa gets some rest from the young bulls mounting her. I'm sure she's very stressed and anxious. But glad to hear the older bulls are taking care of her and trying to discipline Zindoga and Mambo. Hopefully Timi isn't too stessed out. @@mortalclown3812 In a bull herd, the dominant bull has droit de seigneur, tempered by the requirement of having to obtain approval from the Matriarch of the breeding herd whom he may wish to survey for signs of oestrus. It is entirely possible that Zindoga was offending the elders of the bull herd and accordingly, they chased him to preserve the rights of their hero, who was apparently bathing nearby and who has previously demonstrated a penchant for Timisa.
The bigger question not even raised in the video, is Tokwe''s role as Matriarch. Has she become so desperate to protect and extend her breeding herd/dynasty that she will allow any bull she knows a chance to procreate? Did this desperation extend to a potential kidnap? It must confound Tokwe that none of her cows are breeding, after an initial successful patch with her own 2 daughters, Lundi''s son. Setombe's daughter and Bubi's son.

Hoping the interpersonal dynamics work out. We go through our days doing what we do, and here we see the elephants have their own drama and relationships. Every bit as important to them. Khanyisa and Timisa are still learning to cope with it all. ❤

I’m happy to see Khanyisa with Adine again. Little pinky loves her human momma. When Adine knelt down to view the other elephants Khanyisa tried to shelter her like she did in the nursery.

Khanyisa misses her old home. she got so much attention and loved there and now she’s becoming a big girl. She senses that a new baby has moved in. She still wants all that love and attention. It is amazing that she remembers and has such loving memories of being there.
Little Timi was looking for a bit of comfort from Adine but with Khanyisa around this is always a no go She can't let it go even for her wonderful boydygard Kumbura who is not very demanding Little Miss Sunshine will soon learn that she has to share her Human Matriarch with other Ellies but at the moment she is not ready and mature yet 😅🐘
It's a pity her dreadful injuries prevented her from integrating with the Herd sooner. Adine had no choice but to be her human Mama for longer than usual. I agree with you, she will have to learn to share. I do believe though that things will all work out. I'd love to see Timi have some quality time alone with Adine. I'm anxious to see Khanyisa's reaction to meeting Phabeni for the 1st time. My bet is that she will be jealous & resentful of the attention the baby will get. I can imagine her trying to bully him like she has done to Timisa in the past. After all she is the herd's "little Princess"!

thats what im always looking at its her little tusks growing little by little it is so cute, and poor Timisa why dont the bulls know shes too young for this?? and instead of her why dont they go to the normal adult females??? thats something, i thought they would try to be with females who are in heat and Timisa is too young to be there so for me i guess i dont know how elephant "love" works..
The older bulls seem to understand she is too young because they disapproved and disciplined Zindoga and Mambo. The elders definitely did not like them harassing Timisa.

I remember being told here we can tell if we’re tracking a female or male elephant. Bull pee and poop land in roughly the same spot. Female pee and poop are separated. I saw that with Khanyisa. I think it was Mambo who peed on his poop. I love these elephant behavior lessons, then watching to see how elephant anatomy works. Fascinating. Khanyisa is still light enough to dance around. I watched her put her trunk back through her front legs, then wrap her trunk behind and around her right leg to pull at a tiny tree. There’s a much easier way to accomplish the task, but for some reason, Khanyisa explored how her trunk works. She’s still comical. 🐘

I can see the temperatures are high at the moment (up to 36 degrees Celsius), but thankfully, they will drop after Saturday and rain is expected on Monday and Tuesday.

Khanyisa is very loyal to Timi. Maybe she was communicating to Mambo to leave Timi alone, cause he sure backed off. Timi probably bounded off to look for Pisa. Khanyisa sure is getting big. But the loyalty and attachment to Adine hasn't wavered one iota. I am hoping that the 3 munchkins, KT&P end up bonding well with their new baby brother, Phabeni the Seuntjie!
