- Soly and D.J. got a chance to check out Shinnecock Hills ahead of the 2018 U.S. Open and were blown away by what's changed and what remains great about this year's U.S. Open venue.

The production quality you boys have been turning out is second to none. Love it!!! Great video. Can’t wait for the open.
Nice job, guys - I especially appreciate the comparisons showing the changes in narrowed fairways and new tee boxes. Good stuff!
Great video! Within the first minute, it's easy to tell your channel was worth subscribing to (ie, production, commentary, course info, etc). Look forward to more videos to come!
Great Video! You showed a cool perspective of the course.
thanks guys this is awesome!
Great stuff NLU crew, I really Love the overlay, it’s much tighter!😁
It was fun watching this video you guys look like you had fun there. It would be awesome to play there I would love to do it sometime, thanks again great job.
A classic in the bunker is a great classic when the open is a beautiful venue overall of great changes in the past of the past five or six terms or years.
Nicely done guys! Your course change maps were detailed as Fk! Impressive and funny!
DJ's club drop pickup is the best thing I'll see today.
The last time the US Open was here, Retief Goosen won. The greatest putting display in a final round of a major in the past 20 years. 11 one putts.
Great video fellas! Its professional but personal, keep it up
wish this was longer
Wow...what’s the standard scratch score round there? Or slope rating? Basically if I’m off four what would I be expected to shoot?
great job boys, this break down was excellent, just wish it was longer I enjoyed it that much. Your average Sunday golfer has 0 chance of breaking 100 on this monster. A single digit handicap might not even break 90. You must hit every shot high straight and long, and depending on the wind and firmness of the course, that still may not be enough to shoot a decent round. This course is about to expose some good players, If Patrick Reeds game is anywhere close to what it was at Augusta, he's got a great shot to win back to back majors, seeing as he's a player who thrives in the toughest conditions.
"Yeah that's in the bunker." Classic.
brooo how to you not hit one from u us open tee way back there
Looks quite European with a links feel. Looking forward to it. Hello from Ireland!
Great
My man rocking the buck club hat! Rep the 801
This is dope in addition you should do proper course vlogs at these amazing courses. Every shot 6 vids 3 holes per vid
dry sunny weather and light winds forecast at shinnecock.i think 10 under will win it as long as they keep the greens under control.
Hope the fairways play as slow as the greens do fast
And what did you both shoot? (not looking to flame just curious given what the Barstool boys were up to)
Soly 78, DJ 86
No Laying Up great golf lads!! Looked worth the trip and beats a wet Thursday in London any day! Did you find out what the greens were rolling at that day? Can they actually max the stimp out with some of those slopes and still make it playable?
@@NoLayingUp didn't he fluff a lie though?
5:12....like whaaaat 😎😎
Long Island native baby goin all 4 days
going on the 15th so excited (long island native)
Why is Bethpage Black not used anymore ?
Boon Kiu Yip bethpage just had an open in 09
Boon Kiu Yip Bethpage Black is hosting the PGA in a couple months
Where is Tourist Sauce season 1? Well done on the video. It would not hurt my feelings if you went low production value and uploaded a straight up course vlog.
This golf course is so open, no trees. You never need to worry lost balls, but winds may get you.
I'm really surprised they are allowing carts when the tournament is less than 2 weeks away.
They didn't, that was just to get guys out to their starting holes (shotgun)
No Laying Up Gotcha, thanks for the reply!
I dont know if you guys heard but El Pres shot 68
Patrick Kyle with unlimited mulligans
66*
He took over 300 mulligans, still has an awful swing, but I can’t fault the score though, it was a 68 within their rules
Brian Kelly yea, Barry's swing is crap.
Who the hell is el pres?
If I could hit the ball half that good I'd be happy
you flew into Newark??? Really???
Only direct flight option from Greenville. Really.
Lucky bastard
Greetings from Augusta!! Hey fellas, just stumbled upon your station, nice to see some more AMERICAN golf channels on CZcams! I kinda like that you don't do full vlogs, while I wouldn't mind, it's nice to see something different. BTW my best friend just moved to Greenville, any recommendations on courses to play in the area?
name alone should give more hits the golf.......
If I see 12-15 under for a US Open then i don't know what you can do to a course and still make it fair. I think the days of 1 over to 1 under are gone.
Nice throw at 3:33, didn’t know you were allowed to do that?...😂..Lol
Boys are saying it's playing easy.... -12 looking easy for the winner.
Absolute bullshit that it’s 285 carry and also into the wind on that one hole. What a fuckin joke. Narrow the fairway 10 yards and put another bunker in and move the tees up 20-30 yards so the rest of the field can compete.
How do guys with 6,000 subscribers get invited to Media Day?
Gotta say, lack of trees makes me sad as hell
The Shinecock Hills US Open is pretty expensive to witness and nobody wants to take you for it either.
Tired of no trees. The great courses with trees are too short. Bring back the ancient balata and wood!
Plainest course I've ever seen
looks like a serious test hahaha still think these open courses look like shxx
Terrible golf course.
Waste of land could have been turned into a nature preserve. Or given back to the Shinnecocks.
