I’m tempted to have a proper go on the canal whilst I wait for the rivers to open.
Do you generally fish weedless or with the hook exposed?

I typically fish weedless, but on the canals I've been fishing 1.5g jig heads a lot of the time! I do lose some gear though!

@@TheEssexAnglerYT - I’m always concerned about missing bites when fishing weedless, but it does allow to explore.
I did take a look at my available canal stretch last weekend, really clear with some cabbages and other weed starting to grow. Hopefully plenty of potential 🤞

@@leftmono1016 I don't think I miss too many bites tbh, so I don't know if it will affect it too much, probably depends on the weedless setup! I find the stuff from FFS all fits very well on the hooks and is soft enough to not miss bites!

I know that location in Northants very well that you've been to in your last few videos, I used to live very close by.
I started angling just a few weeks ago.
I'm now in Oxfordshire and caught a 48cm Zander from the Oxford Canal last night on a 3.5cm Salmo Hornet

It doesn't, most of my videos are enjoying fishing, but I wanted to do something a bit different! Surely as long as you enjoy it, pleasure of competition it doesn't matter?

Instead of showing us what you catch how about showing us your set ups show us what are you using? Don’t tell us what you use and actually show us your method… one other thing explain to us, whereabouts you’re actually fishing we’re on the canal today. We’re on the river today but you never mention were

I need to show and explain my setups more often in videos I do agree. To be honest, I forget while on the bank a lot of the time! In terms of location, I won't share where specifically I fish. Not many people would. A lot of my spots on rivers and canals I've worked hard to find!

The unwritten rule is to never ask about location. Common sense. I definitely wouldn’t share my best spots.
