Get your Kicks 👍👍👍👍👍
On Route 66!! 😂👍👍
We rode from Tampa to Chicago then followed Rte 66 all the way to Santa Monica Pier back in 2012, no gps or proper maps, all printed daily sheets, to say we got a lost a few times is a understatement lol
We did not look forward to that mess around LA so decided to make a detour near Cajon Junction and take the CA-2 through the Angeles National Forest, what an amazing road :)
Yes the 2 is a great choice. Wrightwood, Newcombs Ranch. 👍👍
Drive me crazy when I see thumbs down on vids WTF.. God bless. 2 wheels down.. Keep it up fellas
Haha right? We appreciate your support Greg!!
FYI...heading out of San Bernardino on 66, you have to get on the 15 N at Cleghorn onramp. Then, take the I-15 to Oak Hill Rd. When you exit, you'll see the Summit Inn on your right. Turn left to continue on old Route 66 (Mariposa Road) through Hesperian and then Victorville. Turn left at 'D' street, and you're on old Route 66 all the way into Barstow.
Thanks Anton! We skipped a few small sections out there just trying to cover a little distance. We'll be riding the entire route again on its 100th anniversary.
Thanks for watching 👍
@@2LaneLife Damn....shame I'm not retired. I'd LOVE to make that trip with ya!!!!
super badass
A run for the books for sure! See you guys soon 🤘🏼
this ride is on my to do list
Definitely one to check off the list, maybe even a couple times 👍🏼
Lane splitting should be legal everywhere. Cars are part of the traffic problem and motorcycles are part of the solution.
That's exactly right. It always takes a little getting used to when entering other states realizing it's not legal anymore. Maybe one day..
@@2LaneLife I commuted in LA on my bike for years before I moved to Washington state, boy was I in for a surprise and a complete 180 on how I commute. I was getting very confused as to why people were blocking me in and honking their horns. I guess attempting to murder a motorcyclist is better than letting us pass safely? Keep up the good work, love the videos!!
@@afidarkside haha yea that'll happen iguess. Makes sense if ya don't think about it! 😂. Thanks for watching!!
Great job guys!
Thanks zmanzippy!
Hey guys, you are the best I think.
I wil get this route 66 before I die.
Thanks for the support!! We hope you can make it out to see for yourself👍
@@2LaneLife However, I am affraid that I am living in korea. I have find out many proble to be solved to make it.
Fr. Dale in Cincinnati
I'm planning to do the road from east to west in the spring (2022).
I did it on a Yamaha back in 1975. Wrote the story up for Road Rider Magazine. Anybody remember Roger Hull? He was the guy to got us all out there touring on two wheels.
Roger is no longer with us. His old Harley "Hound Dog" is on display at AMA headquarters in Ohio.
"Ride Safe!!!
Awesome. Sounds like you've got some great miles ahead. It should be pretty cool to see the differences across the route compared to what you saw in '75.
We've heard of him, that's pretty dang cool! The original 2Laner 🤘
Ride safe!
Its a dream one day to ride around america, with living in ireland its like im riding with yous, the video quality is something else, feel like im on route 66, keep up the hard work really love the videos wish i had of found yous when yous started out, stay safe.
We hope you can make it happen one of these days Ian! Lots of great roads to see.
Thanks for that! We aim to put out the best content we can, and improve as we go. Glad we could share our travels and give you a sense of the journey.
Ride safe!
Ha! You already knew about Oatman. :-) Sorry about that. I just watched Part 1. As a note, when you passed by Yucca on I-40, you passed the Harley Davidson Motorcycle test tracks. They lease/cooperate with Chrysler to use their tracks. They were in East Mesa at the GM Proving Grounds before 09, but moved to Yucca when GM sold here and went to Yuma. I was a professional HD motorcycle test rider for HD in 07 to 09. 2+ years. I was stunned to see Oatman so vacant. Usually the streets are filled with people and donkeys. That stretch from the 40 to Oatman to Kingman, is some of the bumpiest road I've been on. Killed my back and near shook everything on the bike loose. I ride a 2012 Dyna Superglide with 106K miles on it and an 03 anniversary Sporty with 75K on it. I like you and Lance's bikes, but I'm more alone the line of Josh's kind of rider. I rode my Sporty from Key West, to Homer Alaska to home. My Dyna from Phx to Key West to Homer Alaska to Glace Bay Nova Scotia to home. But I ride too slow for you boys. I could never keep up. 55 to 60 on my Sporty, 65 to 70 on my Dyna, is as fast as I go. And I got to hand another thing to you California boys, you scare the crap out of me with your lane-splitting. It gives me heart murmurs just watching. :-) But I really enjoy your videos. Ride safe. Great stuff. Thx.
One must always stop at the OG DelTaco when in Barstow.
You know it!! We actually didn't learn about that being the first one until we were on our way back from a trip this past May. Pretty cool!!
Your videos are the best, makes me want to saddle up and get rolling down the road.
That's the goal! Thanks for the support, Steve 🤘🏼
That's cool!
What you can't do while riding a bike in Korea.
1. We can't enter the highway.
2. Do not operate between lanes and lanes (driving between cars).
3. Driving only to the right edge.
In the case of four lanes (one lane, two lanes, three lanes, and shoulder roads cannot be operated) only on fourth lanes.
I envy you!
Wow! Nice to hear rules in other countries. Thanks for sharing.
I've been from oatman to Albuquerque on route 66 love that ride
It's an awesome section of Route 66. It's really cool to see the changes in landscape between the two areas. Thanks for watching!
9 degrees Fahrenheit where I’m living. This is a treat.
That's a bit crisp!! Glad we could share a warmer adventure with ya!
Highlight of the trip....Josh got kicked by an ass 😀
Brilliant coverage as usual you guys keep the rubber side down.
haha that was definitely a highlight 😂. Luckily Gaylin was filming and we were able to share that lol. Right back at ya ✌🏻
Beautiful scenery
It was a great Day!! 🤘🤘
Great ride. Thanks Been on 66 Thru Arizona but never in California.
Some great spots on both now that we’ve seen it.👍👍
Excellent video. Great narration.
Thank you!! 👍👍
I wrote a comment about the difference between a donkey and a burro😂 I live here in Arizona, born in southern California in the early 1940s and live the good life still in the great American southwest. I know that sometimes I try to be funny but not to be mean. I'm now pushing 80 and I just bought myself a new CanAm Ryker that's a snowmobile with training wheels in the front, but I'm sure having myself a ball, I keep saying more fun than a barrel of monkeys, and some of my other biker friends want me to do a ride with them on US 66 thru Arizona-New Mexico. So I appreciate your rip doing old US66 so I've decided that at the last moment they choose to back out I'll do it alone, thanks guys for wetting my appetite, boys please keep the cameras and wheels rolling.
That's awesome to hear!! The bike that keeps you rolling is the best bike out there! AZ has come to be one of our favorite states and for good reason. We've got a bunch of Route 66 videos out there. If you haven't seen the "Route 66 Legacy" documentary series, that was a great one too! A but more in depth on individual towns versus capturing the journey itself. Anyway, glad to see you out there doing your thing and thanks for the support!
Me and the wife fallow we love you guys very informative not just cranking down the hwy like a lot of these other guys. Me and the wife are trying to plan a trip and marking a lot of the spots you guys hit thanks for all the info stay safe out there
Thanks Paul! Holler if you need any help planning. Dm us. 👍👍
It’s not just the destination it’s the journey and the people along the way. We would take the roundabout way to Beaver Utah each year.
We couldn’t agree with you more!! Thanks for watching!
Hey men! Enjoying your videos! Keep up the awesome work and fun! I plan to hit 66 myself now that the cooler weather is driving us south. 🐽 (Brotherly hog-hug)

Thanks for watching Val! We will. There may be some snow by now, but still a great run!

We’re glad we helped with the memories. Thanks for the support!
... that was great ! Looking forward to the next episode. I know you guys probably know .... but we have an original 66 gas station (now museum) (just like you stopped at in AZ) in Shamrock Texas. It is called "U Drop Inn". I hope you had a chance to stop .... THANKS for sharing
Thanks for watching, Paul! You'll see another vintage gas station that we stopped at in Shamrock TX likely in episode 3! Could be the same one, but we think this one was an old "Conoco" station. See ya down the road 🇺🇸

Love the Scorched Orange/Silver Flux paint! And not just because its on my SGS too. lol

Amazing video. Doing a road trip on Route 66 is on my bucket list for sure.
It's a good time!! An awesome experience to say the least. Tons of history and back roads along the way. Thanks for watching👍

Enjoyed the ride along with you on the first leg. Looking forward to more. A group of us rode 66 from Chicago to Oklahoma City back in June. Had a great time. Lots of interesting places and people along the way.
That was one of our favorite sections of the route! Oklahoma has some awesome views! Theres tons of places to stop and learn about, but we stopped where we could. Thanks for watching Jeff, see ya down the road!

I've been following since you started. You kids have a ways to go to get to where I've been, BUT, you are awesome. I've been cross country by motorcycle 12 times and many shorter 2k jaunts, over 500k total. My goal next year is to either meet you on a trip here to Maryland or I'll be out your way again next summer. Keep up the great job, fellas. 2lanelife, forever! 😎

Whoa, pretty cool, we didn't know that! The Route 66 history never ends! Thanks for watching and for the support, Matt! We'll see ya down the road..
Lived in upland my whole life and I’ve never been to the magic lamp. Had no idea it was a Route 66 attraction. The Sycamore Inn across the street is pretty historic too.

Until then keep watching and tell all of your friends! 👍👍 Thanks for the support!
One day my dream ride thanks guys for getting me hypes as f .
It's a must-see! Do it when ya can, and you'll be glad you did. You could take as little as a week, and even as much as a month or more. There's tons of stops and history along the way 🤘🏼
Did you see any backpacking walkers along the way?
@@joemusic2882 On day 2 coming into Seligman, we did see a guy walking along the 66, but we're not sure if he was backpacking or not . Theres a split second where he's in the video, you might be able to catch it!
@@2LaneLife I know I won’t be able to walk on freeways and some highways but as long as I can be on at least 75% of Route 66 I’ll be happy.

Guy’s, I’ve been looking forward to these videos since you first talked about doing it. It’s been a dream ride of mine to ride Route 66 since I was a young man.
I really love your videos, I especially love the riding, but the history and camaraderie are great too. I love the respect you show to our flag too! The fact that my grandkids can watch without me having to worry about language is awesome as well. Even my wife loves watching.
I’ve been riding since I was about 10 yrs old (I’m 63 now). You have me sold on the Road Glide too! Keep the videos coming (longer would be nice, but still love them). Ride safe! 🇺🇸
Hey Larry! That's really awesome to hear. That's what keeps us going and inspires us to get out and and find more roads ahead. We live in such a great country, and we love sharing our journeys across it. We're always stoked to hear the family loves relaxing to an episode or 2 too!
Once you get a taste of the good life on two wheels, you can never really go back can ya? We've been around bikes our whole lives too, and they bring you to some awesome places.
If you haven't ridden a road glide, it's definitely a game changer and we'd recommend testing one out sometime. We should have some longer than usual vids in this series so stay tuned!
Once again, we appreciate the support and the kind words. See ya down the road! 🇺🇸

Hello 2 lane. Dude, I want to thank you so much for posting these videos about your trip on Route 66. The video has two things I really appreciate: Harleys and two-wheel travel.
Video editing, camera angles, high image quality, everyone's enthusiasm, allows the person watching the video to literally "be in the pilot's shoes." For sure, I will enjoy every moment of your trip, as if I were with you on it. I subscribed to your channel, and I really appreciate having posted them. Luciano.
What's up Luciano!! Thanks for the kind words and support! We're glad you're enjoying the videos!
We love hearing that it feels like you're right there with us when watching. We try to capture it so it feels that way.

Thanks as usual with the detailed video’s. I really enjoy the visual scenery and commentary you guys provide for those of us who can’t get out as much as we would like, except for maybe 2 weeks out of a year. I also wanted to say that I had ordered three 2LaneLife shirts and hats and they fit perfectly. We really enjoy wearing them and spreading the word about you guys in upstate New York. Keep the videos coming. Cheers.

It's a helluva ride!! Lots of great stuff to see along the way, you'll have a great time. Thanks for watching, Christopher!
Rainy Sunday morning on the back deck with cigar and coffee in front of the fireplace - this was a happy find! Quality production, men. Love those Road Glides. I did 66 from Oak City to Williams a few years ago on my RGU. Wish we could've made it through to Santa Monica. Maybe next time. Lots of great towns along the way but I think Williams was my favorite. Nothing like all that roadside Americana. New subscriber - can't wait for the next episode.
Sounds like a great way to spend a Sunday! Welcome to the Family! We also love Williams as many of our episodes will reflect. Thanks for the comments and support!
Great footage guys! Enjoyed it.. love riding on ol Route 66!
Thanks Big Frank! It sure is a great ride!
No donkeys on main street Oatman. When I was there, there were lots of them. I guess because of covid and not really tourist season until November. Place looked dead when you were there.
They were all over the place. We were getting there a little later at night and it was a Wednesday. The donkeys move out to the mountains in the evenings. But thanks for watching!!!👍👍
hope you guys went and visit the old store with all the old Harley upstaire
