  • Bill takes through our longest and highest performing solo boat- the Cruiser 16.8. He discusses its genesis from earlier boats like the DY Special and the Sawyer Shockwave, and how designer David Yost added a modern twist to make it one of the best tracking boats we've ever produced. He also does an on-water demo to show you how it can be paddled with both a canoe paddle or a kayak paddle.

I just wanted to say you do such a wonderful job of demonstrating and promoting your boats--there is nothing fake or contrived about your love of paddling and the boats your company produces, and your energy and passion come shining through in such a genuine way. I have lived in Central Arizona for almost 40 years now and dream of retiring in the Pacific Northwest (or Canada, if your country will take us!) so I can spend those retirement years paddling the beautiful lakes and rivers up your way!

Can you do a normal canoe seat in a Cruiser for us kneelers?

Nope! That boat looks like it will tip over easily. I want to be able to stand up and fly fish from it.
