Rick, I am glad you decided to do this video. It is important for both you to share your feelings about Lalo and Sadie, and for us to hear it. I know if it’s not easy to do. You gave them a wonderful life and they did the same for you. When we add pets and they become part of our family we know this day will inevitably come,but I know you would agree that it is worth the pain you’re feeling right now because of all the joy you brought to each other. RIP Sadie and Lalo.

Rick…fairly new subscriber here from the Pacific NW and longtime Dodgers fan having grown up in Encino in the 70’s and loving those great Dodgers teams. I just recently lost my dog and was avoiding music by listening to some of your older episodes. Ironically, this one just began playing after I had listened to others. I’m sorry to hear about your cats but your video actually helped as it reminded me that I’m not alone with my grief in losing a pet. Thanks for helping and I enjoy hearing your stories about the Dodgers and card collecting. 👍

It's not easy living a life without our best friends, That was the hardest video I ever made, but I felt their passing needed to be said out loud. Always remember you are never alone with your grief. I still have mine, and probably always will. I've learned ways to honor both of them and it helps. You grew up in Encino? Always reminds me of the Karate Kid. I love the Valley. My cousin lives in Tarzana. The Dodgers from the 70s will always be my favorite team. Ron Cey was my favorite, who was yours? I hope you'll continue you to enjoy the video content. Thanks again!

Someone asked me recently if you could choose one card that symbolizes your love of the game what would it be and I mentioned how nostalgic that 1974 Topps Ron Cey card makes me feel when I see it. So sorry to hear about Sadie's passing, Rick. I know how devastated I was each time one of my dogs has passed. My two new pups have been with us for 9 months now and they are a handful, but worth it. Just know that you'll meet your friends again someday.

I'm glad to be your friend. My daughter and I have had 3 gray cats between us. Binx, our first one, who was always in El Paso, died after a long stomach cancer. We knew it was coming, but we were both devastated. I have her ashes with me. Luna and Oden went with Lili to Seattle, and it's always a joy to see them when I visit. Oden has definitely used up a few of his lives, and he's very mellow with me. Luna is more enigmatic.
Michael, I love the story about Luna and Oden. I love talking about cats as much as I love talking about cards. It helps knowing there are others that feel the same way I do. I am sorry about Binx. I am sure you her an incredible life. I know Lalo and Sadie gave me a great 15 years. I miss them dearly, but I know one day we'll be together again. I appreciate you listening to me.
Oh, man Rick. Sorry to hear about Sadie. I did see the Jon Stewart video last week. It made me just that much more thankful that i have Belly (my cat) to keep me company.
@@RickAcostaDodgerCardCollector , we have one, but she mostly stays outside. My family and I moved to a new home last year. We had her and her sister. Unfortunately, the first night we were in our new place, her sister got hit by a vehicle and we found her the next morning. Both are/were the best!
@@RickAcostaDodgerCardCollector , I grew up a cat-person. My wife grew up a dog-person and was/is allergic to cats. I came home one day and she notified me she put down a deposit to adopt two sibling cats! They are/were truly loved!

Rick, so sorry to hear about Sadie. My cat Ricky has voiced his opinion on many of my videos. My dog Leo had made 2 appearances on my videos.
