It's so mad that this music was so scorned at the time. It was dismissed as "noise", from everyone outside the "scene". It was laughed at, they were all just posers with long hair, it was so completely underappreciated. It's so good to see it being appreciated, at last!

Metallica are masters at songmaking. But have the perfect heavy mix. It builds and builds, then gets faster and faster. Then throw everything at you and it all makes sense. All full of suspense. That's what we need in a song. They never disappoint.
My adult daughter, who is way far away from a rocker, absolutely loves this song. Something about the cadence I suspect; or maybe it's just genetics!

This has been my theme song the last couple years. After corona i was very unstable financially and had to adjust over a dozen times. Including living in a tent for a couple months, three different times. Happy to say i have found more permanent shelter, atleast through the winter. This should enable me to save up and buy an RV so that even if im still roaming, I'll have a place to sleep at all times...

If you've ever been there, out on the streets and in the wild with nothing but what's on your back and in your pockets, then you develop a certain fortitude about keeping on keeping on, putting one foot in front of the other; everything is doable, if you take your time and do things right, and just cope. The lyrics in the song fit that survival vibe really well, especially with that driving music. It's great music for heavy labor or just getting things done fast.

Love this one as I do many of theirs. I hope you do yourself a favor and go back and do a few, at least, from their first album: The Four Horsemen__Seek & Destroy__Jump in the Fire. I saw them in San Francisco in early '83 before the first album. Dave Mustaine was still in the band on guitar and Cliff Burton had just joined the band.

Happy birthday! 🎂 Mine just passed 57 young! This album dropped with a bang, 1st album since the loss of Cliff...I remember half of the fans pissed off that it wasnt fast enough or thrash enough! Grunge just hit like a Bomb exploding!! I loved the Black album,(MOP, AJFA,KTA albums too) it helped me through some tough times (divorce) so I made sure my kids now 27 & 35 grew up on metal, rock and grunge and my daughter loves ❤️ them all as well, which she should I was pregnant with her and seen them 2x! Seen Metallica 5x (90, 91,92,93 and 2x 94) total, lucky I've seen many live shows, a lot of them have passed away sadly 😥 But I started taking my daughter to concerts since she was 13, she loves it! My son has been to a few, Linkin, Disturbed, Rob Zombie, Korn, Linkin Park, Godsmack, Nirvana, Mayhem, and Ozfest he loved it too as he was in his early 20s. Now they both have a huge range and love of All kinds of music 🎶 which I feel is pretty Awesome! 😍 🎼🤘🎸 P.s. My daughter has all my ticket stubbs over 1000 shows, venues and clubs (where most bands started) since I was 15yrs old 1980!! One stub/show was 1980 Motley Crue at the Whiskey a go go!! Lol ❤️ Dammm, Great times!!
