That long, long, silent pause STILL floors me. I love how respectful the Japanese audience was. There were THOUSANDS of people there and they didn't make a single sound.
Erm, I think it's around 50k for some perspective. That's about as big if not bigger than Madison Square Garden.

Hola. Comentario en español aquí. Está iba a ser una gira en colaboración con Linkin Park los cuales iban a cantar muchas canciones de OOK y protagonizar muchas de sus canciones en Japón. La razón por la que Taka alza el micrófono al final de la canción es para rendirle tributo a Chester quien en ese momento acabó por suicidarse y siendo la razón de por qué la colaboración no fue llevada a cabo. El público hace silencio al principio no solo por ser el preludio de la canción sino también porque es un minuto de silencio por el cantante.
Dato curioso: Taka mencionó una entrevista que antes del concierto había comido comida picante por lo que le dolía la lengua y la garganta en el escenario, así que no pudo cantar como el hubiera querido.
Si así canta con molestias entonces me da miedo su verdadero potencial 💀

Taka was a huge fan of Linkin Park, esp Chester. "Chester is the reason why i became a rock vocalist" was what Taka said about the LP member that past away. The moment of silence was actually in honor for Chester
BINGO. Chester is who immediately came to mind for me, especially after the long pause and his belting out. I still miss him... he was a beautiful talent....

Well One Ok Rock is actually pretty big. One of the biggest Rocband in Japan and they been on tours all around the world even pre covid.
But their prior music wasnt as mainstream. They just released a more popish album and were on a tour in america and more people startto notice them.
Ok, I'm glad about that, we still have to know a lot of music, there are really good people

I've been to One OK Rock concert in Japan and yes, the audience know when to keep silent and being respectful. Forty thousand people and not a sound. Gotta love Japan audience.
Silence is also music.
I was in this audience and it was glorious. Taka has said that they can only achieve this level of silence in Japan. Any other place they sing this song and there's always people yelling something and breaking the silence.
That breaks my heart.

Yep. Can confirm. I've been to several of their concerts. When this song comes up, the audience knows EXACTLY what's gonna hit them. The entire hall will go silent and they will let Taka take his time to build up tension and destroy our hearts.
And as a long time fan who follow them from their indie days, Taka sound THAT amazing live.

Taka is one of the greatest vocalists I have ever heard

Roscoe, I'm so glad I clicked on your One Ok Rock reactions. I hadn't heard of them and am blown away by how brilliant they are. There aren't enough words to describe Taka's voice in this and Tomoya, Toru and Ryota are so tight!! And when the crowd joined in - goosebumps!! I'm definitely going down the OOR rabbit hole.❤

Taka is truely a master of croud interaction. I have been lucky enough to see him twice in Denver and even there the crowd knew to do what he wanted

So glad that you found One OK Rock because they are awesome. I should say thanks to John Reaves also. They want to conquer the world and with their ambition they will. They have already toured the US, Canada, Asia, Europe, and South America. They just were the opening act for Muse and Evanescence and are returning to Japan to do 6 Dome tours. Their lives are the best because they give their all in their performances. Hope you will be able to react to other songs because they have over 140 and I have to say they are all special.
This became my anthem from the whole last year and from that day onwards, I wont hold onto the pain or the memories. They were good, but not anymore... and it's hard to see tears in the pouring rain...

Taka is amazing - even more so live than on the albums. I've been to many concerts and he is still one of the few artists that can command the stage like that. He gets better every year.

Please react to "we are" live. Now, that is world impact. I love them. Their lyrics are out of this world. I might be a bit biased. I'm a fan. I saw them live in a much, much smaller venue in the US, and they give the same amount of love and energy. I make a joke that we, the fans, are the 5th members of the band. All the songs have a part where taka includes us to be part of.

I'm Italian and I was lucky enough to had the possibility to watch them live in Florence. They are amazing, Taka has an unique presence on the stage.
That said, you should react to "Your Tears Are Mine" and "Let Me Let You Go". They are from the last album, and two of my personal favourite songs of One Ok Rock

ONE OK ROCK is incredible. Saw them live for almost every US tour. Thank you so much for reacting and to John for the reccommendation, I knew you would love them! Isn't Taka an amazing frontman? Next to BTS, they are one of my favorite groups of all time. Anyways, hope you continue to check them out whether on your own or on the channel, it is really worth it. Some suggestions: Their recent live studio live session featuring their songs "Your Tears Are Mine" and "Vandalize" from their newest album is literally sonic gold, its so good. Their "We Are" performance is also a great classic intro to their music, but so is some of their older stuff like "The Beginning", "Clock Strikes", "Mighty Long Fall", "Good Goodbye" etc. Anyways, love One Ok Rock and so happy they could be heard by you and the couch crew! P.S. I think they did a fun BTS Dynamite dance cover video during covid if I am not mistaken and I'm pretty sure JK is a pretty big fan of them as well, or at least I remember him listening to them and saying that before, but I'm not sure when/where. (But don't quote me on that haha) 💜

You should check " We Are" is one of the most popular songs, "One Way Ticket" is a "hidden gem" only known by fans, if you want something kind of hardcore - metal/rock style listen to "Ending Story" or "Mighty Long Fall". Every one must be on Live, is 100% much better than studio versions.

The original song was a collab song with 5 seconds of summer I believe. Live version is just on another level.
ONE OK ROCK!! I love them. Saw them in concert a few months ago in Charlotte. Amazing. I'm so glad BTS opened me up to exploring music from other countries. When I was King (live with an orchastra), We Are (18 Fez version too! Beware: It will mess you up!), Renegades, Save Yourself, etc. So many good ones! Taka's voice is chill inducing. The silence was a homage to Chester Benington, they were gonna be together with LP at some point In there but we know the bad news about that... The song is insane, Taka is probably one of the best voices in Japan, if not the best and the band is wholesome and awesome, I fking love them.
