The most House has ever respected Chase. Pure manipulation, taking advantage of the opening House unknowingly gave him, just to get people to stop asking if he’s okay? He ripped that straight out of House’s playbook lmao.
The look on house face, a mix of unexpected surprise as chase reasoning for hitting him was a reason he himself would hit someone.
I actually love the camera angles in that last scene (it’s probably for more, I just didn’t notice until now). When the camera is on Chase, it pans slightly down because he’s 5’10” while House is 6’2”, but when focusing on House, it’s slightly upward. This also gives the appearance that House is the man running the business, so to speak

I think also House is maybe a bit soothed by the notion that he's mentored somebody else better than him to follow in his footsteps. Like, he's made something useful out of his imprisoned endeavor.
what's wild is you're exactly right, he did mentor someone who turned out to be better than him. chase picked up on the cough syrup long before anyone else, including house, suspected anything.

Chase knew House wouldn't press charges. Because he's House but also because he owes him one. This evens the score between them but also shows Chase was going to take over for House. This show is so good.

@@johndoe70770 Nah, I think at least two patients dads have hit him. One he intentionally goaded into it so he could hit him back. And Wilson punched him in the face when he came back from jail. Seemed to hurt Wilson's hand more than House's jaw.
@@johndoe70770Cole has one in early season 4, twice by Chase, 2 father's of patients, once by Wilson after returning from jail, getting shot, a couple times in jail, once in a bar, and once by the step father of a boy who died years ago because House is stalking the whole family. Pretty sure that's all of them. IMO, it's unfair Foreman never got one.

No, but there was another where chase punched house, in the lobby in an early season. I think its only twice from chase, but possibly 3. I like that not everybody perpetually puts up with House. Though I wish Foreman had in the episode where his brother gets out of jail and House hires him in order to antagonize Foreman. Foreman deserved to take a swing at House at least once. Only 3 major assaults over 8 seasons seems a bit low, tbh (3rd being getting shot, of course).

Anyone who wanted to know what was wrong with the patient, he was overdosing on cough medicine to make himself dumber because he's a super genius but hates it. The alcohol counteracted some of the effects of the cough medicine OD but things still went wrong
It was always Chase who would have replaced House.

The shows went for 60 minutes but they had to condense them to under 10 minutes by taking out unnecessary and repetitive content because the old TVs couldn’t hold anything over 10 minutes.
The mondo Houser shows are very short always less than 10 minutes because of the primitive mondo TVs they had back then. The old old old TVs could not hold more than 10 minutes of show even without nipnagel or shnibuts rhetoric as they used CRT Catholic Ray Tubs technology Motorola involvement and non Dylan Mulvaney CLT or Claw Technology. No harm no fowl. Crackhead Barney oversees the southerly wing of the flies we fight as fly fighters.
The fly fighters tried Dylan Mulvaney to shorten the shows advertising and tried to produce a non racist TV set with Motorola involvement with flypaper control and Dylan Mulvaney CEO.

Everytime i see them search someones house..i just cant get myself bot to think about Eastern European or Russian homes. We got so much medicine, they would get lost in diagnosis.
