Do you reamp guitars? Is this how you do it?
Yes, but sometimes use other methods, i have Laney IRT Studio and help me a lot with the reamp because the amp have a sistem
Oh yea? How do you re-guitar amps??
You just play again
Very carefully
Cool Tutorial, I use the Torpedo Live as Loadbox with an "Real amp" or Kemper via Spdif 😎
Pretty cool man good job.
Hi Xavier, thanks a lot for posting this very useful video. I wonder why do you not use the DI output ?
Is that because you already record your guitar part before ?
Great tutorial! Quick questions: How did you get the initial DI tracks? Directly from the guitar to the interface? DI box? Are you able to get the DI track from the two notes torpedo reload?
Huge sound!!
Such a Classy Amp!!!
How can I setup recording for a head like the 6505MH which has a DI out with a dummy speaker load
Can I reamp guitars(with re amp box) but with no physical speaker cab? Only using a speaker cab simulator software on the computer? Or will something start smoking? Lol
I Have a Huge question! If I want to record all my Guitar Pedal effects coming back into my DAW in stereo, Do I need a Reamp/ or DI with 1 Channel, or do I need a 2 channel version? I'm very stumped with this question !
Hello, i have one question
Can we reamping from distortion sound to clean?
I have a Two Notes Reload, why you hear a sound out of the load box is, there is a coil the moving like a speaker and that's what are hearing when you have a amp going though it.
I too have a TN reload, I hear the sound youre talking about. How loud can I go with my amp? When I hear that sound I always think the signal going in is too loud, but not sure.
Is that a Kiesel V49K I see on the wall....?
The UA Interface is on my list for when I have an extra grand to drop but for the moment the scarlett solo is doing the job just fine for $100. lol
Yeah the Apollo is real sick, but if the Scarlett is doing the job then there's nothing wrong with that
Can I just plug my guitar directly into my interface (Scarlett 2i2 Studio)? Then record using my DAW?
What happened to the orange video
Great!thanks!
What do you think about guitar rig pro 5?
It's what I use, and honestly, it's enough for me. There's so many possibilities with custom effects.
You thank you mate!
Are you using the apollow twin just for reamp or for everything mainly ?
I use it for everything!
Hello, Xavier! Quick question: When you're reamping the guitars, the sound is horrible (raw and harsh because there's no Cab). Can you record the sound like that (raw) and then, after recording the amp, insert an IR Loader and try out different IR's? Or is the Raw recorded sound so bad that no IR will "repair" it after? Thanks!
Yes that’s how it’s done!
@@treyxaviermusic Nice! And at what level do you normally put your Replay, Speaker and Contour buttons? Thanks!
Latency?
What about latency?
Instead of a load box could I just mic my amp and send that back into the interface?
Absolutely
As far as i know, the amp can be turned on, but the "stand by" must be switched off (if there is nothing connected to the speaker out) ... correct me if i'm wrong ...
pretty sure I accidentally did that a few times and nothing happened
Josua Stangl yep... i think there's nothung wrong until you turn off "standby" ...
No you're right, I just like to be extra cautious 😎
Gear Gods hehe... even better :)
Could I just use the headphone out on my amp into my interface and record from that?
What kind of amp is it?
what if is a AXE FX or any other processor?
Same, minus the load box. Run the DI signal out from your DAW, into a re-amp box, into your processor, then back into the front end of your I/O. Hit record.
Does the Apollo Twin monitor volume have to be turned up all the way? If so, how do you monitor without blowing the speaker monitor? Lol
Why would it have to be turned up all the way
@@treyxaviermusic, i had read somewhere that to get the full signal from the interface, the output volume had to be at max. Maybe it was referring to a specific one, or the reamp box itself. Thanks though!
@@brianb4877 You want the signal coming out from the Apollo to be a good level but it's not coming from the monitor out, it's going out one of the other outputs
What is it you use for the drums?
This one is real drums actually
Fair enough! Any good ProTools friendly drum plug ins? I'm having a lot of issues with it!
EZDrummer or Superior Drummer 3 is pretty awesome, I use both in Pro Tools with no problem.
this is a bit confusing, i saw other guys put the D.I Box before A.I in the signal chain...
The D.I Box should be the last in the chain as it brings the line levels back to a normal state to re enter your Interface again!
Jesus man. My Eleven Rack does all of that except the load box, without all the cables. Plus, I can use the cabs in the Eleven Rack....
Well yeah I mean I can do the same with my AxeFx or Helix too, this is for real amps though
Gear Gods I reamp my Peavey xxx with my Eleven Rack all the time.
Interesting, didn't know it could do that
Gear Gods neither did a lot of guys in the eleven rack Facebook group. I run my Eleven Rack in 4 cable with my Peavey xxx. So the eleven rack is already in the FX loop. So I just created a patch where the send from the Eleven Rack feeds the preamp of my xxx. The the send from the amp passes signal from the xxx back into the fx return on the eleven rack, through the cab and FX, then back into studio one.
instructions were not clear.
got my di stuck in the comment section.
Still hate that intro music the guitar tone is poop
wtf dude? you route the signal out of the box just to take it back in and use IR's What kind of idiocy is that?
People pay to have their DIs reamped. It's smart.
