  • Being diagnosed with Parkinsons Disease was the beginning, not the end, for John. His struggle with PD inspired him and others to raise awareness of the illness. This is his journey.
Being diagnosed with Early onset Parkinson’s Disease was a life changing moment for John but he was keenly aware to determine whether his life would be controlled by his condition or whether he took the controls himself.
An example of his determined, some would say dogged attitude, was to walk from Lands End to John O Groats using a unique untried route. John now spends his time talking about walking and raising awareness of early onset PD but he may have a new plan up his sleeve!
This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at ted.com/tedx

My dads 56 and he’s had this tremor on his right arm for the last year or so that comes and goes every other minute or so and he walks real slow like now, never has any energy and his back is always like arched and in pain. I’m thinking he’s developing Parkinson’s and it’s just about the most scariest, craziest, most treacherous thing to be witness to as the days go on.

Could be but could also be MS if he’s having back pains. A lot of neurological stuff kinda blends in similar symptoms.

Parkinson's indicates unresolved rejection, massive amounts of abandonment, rejection and hope deferred. I read a book called"A more excellent way" by Henry Wright.

      Wecook,
      I’m so sorry 😞
My husband works out with a Parkinson’s Group on zoom video. It’s not too strenuous it’s a lot of stretching like yoga it’s helped him not feel so alone with this disease .
Look for a Parkinson’s support. In your area .
Take care and take one day at a time, 🤗🙏🏻💕

I find it interesting that his right arm still has issues after the meds. He's probably right-handed (90% of the population is).
There's something to that. Probably not enough to develop a cure, but definitely something researchers should look into.

I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in May 2021. My left Hand shakes even with medication. Anxiety will cause my hand to shake like this. I write with my right hand but do most everything left handed including toiletries. It’s a daily struggle.
