  • As the Head of MIT Media Lab's Camera Culture Research Group, Professor Ramesh Raskar is credited with a long list of innovations, including a smartphone attachment that can diagnose eye problems. But he makes the point that you don't have to be a PhD to be an inventor. This inspiring talk from TEDxBeaconStreet equips every one of us with an easy-to-use framework for inventing the future, right now.
Ramesh Raskar is a renowned inventor and innovator. He holds over 40 US patents and is recognized as a leading authority on computational photography.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

Amazing TED Talk. The best I've seen so far. Inspiring and very informative. It gives a lot of insight to the mind of an inventor and bares it down to a formula accessible to the average viewer or budding entrepreneur.

Excellent. That camera in the first frame would be great for Iridology. What about a camera that can scan the sclera for sclera markers through the eyelids?
