I love the actor and actress here they are one of my favorite couple.. But I found the script quite irritating.. I can't find a reason why you need to hide the truth from your husband and his family who's actually treating you so nice.. it's unreasonable
She hides the truth, in case they divorce later, the husband family will keep the child from here. ML’s family is rich and with many relatives. Such family has the power of money to get whole custody
I love this pairing of Meng Na and Du Yafei. They are really one of my favourite pairings. I especially love Du Yafei in those horn-rimmed glasses.I can watch just about anything with the two of them. I'm fascinated by how they repackage the tropes of a contract marriage here. Instead of a one-night stand, it's IVF. The ML is the hot uncle who is also the disabled CEO whose niece is entangled with the scumbag ex. But FL who bears the child is as frustrating as all the others. Her deception has knock-on effects that ultimately puts the child in jeopardy and odds with the man who loves her the most. Regardless of her intentions and schemes, there are far too many people who want to see the back of her. It is classic poor communication to be sure. They are both responsible for the mess that ensues but a lot of the angst could be avoided if she were more upfront about the boy and how she actually feels about their relationship. It is also true that a woman who demands trust from her husband needs to be wise about how she conducts herself with other men. It isn't enough to insist that she be trusted if her actions gives the appearance of something else. Raising the matter of divorce certainly doesn't help either. In her case there's also another woman who is happy to add fuel to fire and act as a destructive force.
I like FL dramas but this one is really bad as a drama, you can't hide a child from his real father and play the victim too, it's really bad from no one

You have a man(HUSBAND) who genuinely loves you, doesn't want to be with any other woman but you and you find out that he's actually the biological father of your son... what's the issue?? She's playing tug-a-war with the ML's feelings, she hasn't given a legitimate reason as to why she's hiding the truth(not even something as simple as "I don't like him"), which is another issue bc she's not even honest about her own feelings towards him either. She's causing more issues & misunderstandings than anybody else, which will affect her son more than her. I agreed with the best friend lol she makes more sense than the FL... who comes off as being selfish to me. I don't have the patience to finish this and I'm 1:15:53 in😒🙅♀
The script has too many plots. I actually skip and just see 10 minutes ending only. But i love the actors. I looks like the FL never really love the ML
I like both lead actress & actor, but the script was annoying. It was frustrating how long FL hides the identity of her kid even going so far as to get her friend involved, claiming the child is hers. Of course, the translation wasn't the greatest so I *think* that's what occurred. In the day and age of DNA testing, I don't know how she was able to pull this off so long and why ML allowed her to continuing lying about it. Her excuse was they'd eventually divorce & the Tang family would keep the kid. So, ML made the situation worse by not telling her that he'd loved her for years and he had no intention of divorcing her. Basically, insecurity caused this entire mess.🙄
I knew it!!! when i read the title, i was should i watch it cause it sound like two respectful friend getting married so there probably like no sweet love between them...half right!!! only the ML show sweet love all through the movie, FL not so much she like obligated to him only which makes me sad should at least let her know ML gave up his leg for her then maybe she can show some compassion to our ML...Is it asking too much for movies of dotting ceo and at the same time ceo getting pamper by FL......
Love the two leads but this one was to contrived and ridiculous for me so it is not worth a re watch , hardly made it through even with fast forward....but if your a fan of the leads give it a try, you may like it better then I did. Both leads need to be given roles in main stream dramas not just these mini dramas.

I don't like ML character at first he was charming an ideal leading man who will do everything for the love of his life, but then at a later part he became insecure and stupid. The script lack of romance, they could have more scenes where the ML could prove that he loves the FL for a long time, but they focus on lies, scumbag ex husband, useless doubts and other unnecessary scenes which made this story tiring and boring.

The storyline is good yet the FL is still portrayed as dense.
