      Nor did 2 top Chess Grandmasters. What Chess must have been like 50 years ago without Computers to tell us we blundered and drew 100% won games.

    • @psychohist

      @@Figgy20000 A lot of these things were found in analysis by other masters and grandmasters with hours to kill. For that matter, computers likely miss plenty of things these days, it's just that humans aren't good enough to check them and we don't hundreds of different computer programs to do all the checking.

    This was really bravely played by Hou Yifan, unfortunetaly she missed the winning move, which shows how complicated even engames with two pieces and a few pawns can be! Thank you very much for uploading, I'm looking forward to new games on this wonderful channel every day!

      even with kc1, blacks king to e2 then push the pawn, right ?

    • @fardinfeiz629
      @fardinfeiz629 Před 6 lety

      Burns no that wouldn't work cause the king is too far away to help the pawn promote after the sacrifice or the pushing of the pawn, if white king is placed on c1

    • @andrenowaczek4909
      @andrenowaczek4909 Před 6 lety +5

      Most standard plans have higher download speeds. Because it saves the consumer money (not paying for upload speeds that you will never utilise fully). Places like colleges will get special plans with higher upload rates because they do a lot of uploading (videos, research, etc) - don't forget the world wide web was initially invented to share scientific research. It is possible to get plans where both speeds are the same if you want, it'll just cost more.

    At 1:44, why not take the pawn with the bishop, F4 to D6? The only attempt to make it not a free pawn I can see would be knight F6 to E4 which seems sneaky at first, but any way I see it, it still ends up with white getting the pawn for free, because at best black might trade queens and some minor pieces and get the 2 white pawns doubled up on F2 and F3, but having doubled up pawns is better than missing a pawn.

    Funny, I didn't even need to pause to see the line that would have won the game. That said, when the puzzle is presented, you know there's a trick, so you check strange lines. I don't know that I would have seen it over the board and certainly not in time trouble. In that position, you're definitely worrying too much about defending and a5 looks like the only rational option.
