Fluid Pumping Apparatuses Powered By Waves Or Flowing Currents
A new invention using "Double acting fluid piston pumps extracting energy from waves or flowing currents into electricity. A revolutionary fluid currents energy converter device by combining double acting fluid pumping apparatuses and moveable racks to convert Ocean waves or flowing currents into electricity.
The present invention provide double acting pump mechanisms when the piston reciprocates inside the piston chamber as the piston is driven by a float according to rising and falling waves.
Each pumping apparatus is driven by a float; the pumped fluid (water and/or air) is supplied to drive a fluid motor or a turbine, which in turn operates a generator to produce electric power.

Nice one. Had similar idea, only the floater is permanently sealed, contains preoriented magnet and its movement down "dive", is caused by presence of strong magnet (oriented to "push") above the floater. The floaters are positioned behind each other in a circle, and the strong magnet is moving in the circle above the surface of water (moved by transfer of the movement of the floaters - down by magnet, up by floatation.)

these are the best that i have seen thus far, been doing self researching of wave energy lately.
imo, i have seen a lot of invention of wave power energy, but many fail to have a foundation, for example, what are the acceptable range of building platform from the beach and whatnot so it doesn't interfere with maybe view or whatnot. how far of the beach can a platform be built. without these reference it will be tough to think of what may work where because that same technology may work in southeast asia may not work in iceland, for example.

its fine but how can the runner rotate with uniform angular velocity since the waves will not be be uniform. due to non uniformity in rotation of generators we wont be getting the required frequency of alternating current.And also how can this practically work under high tides and low tides since the difference in elevation b/w high tides and low tides almost 6 m.

you're exactly right - those tanks are giant lossless batteries. you can take the energy from them and go to a battery or straight to the grid wave or no wave once the water is in the tank.

weeeellll... if its an enclosed tank it will evaporate less easily and if it does that will increase pressure in the tank thus still keeping the same amount of k energy, if its an open tank on the other hand , a lake or pond fe, condensation and rain will compensate for the evaporation loss... ;)

Those horrible electrical energy alternatives need; voltage regulator circuits, dc to ac inverters, Wires, step up transformers, switch gear housing, line carrying poles, metering...But; it does look pretty...Coal burns clean...Coal fired power plants are the best form of energy creation...Solar and wind are the second and first (respectively) worst sources of power generation.

Идеи конечно прикольные, но у любого такого буйка на воде есть ограниченная подъемная сила, а количество воздуха которое в "поршне" тоже будет давать сопротивление. А еще этот буек должен обладать внушительным весом, чтоб в обратную сторону возвращаться с приемлемой скоростью, иначе до следующей волны он будет находиться выше середины своей амплитуды.
Как итог: Мы тратим уйму цемента (и не только), уйму человека часов, уйму ЭНЕРГИИ на постройку этой конструкции, но то количество энергии которое оно будет вырабатывать, возместит затраченное на ее постройку ну скажем через 200 ЛЕТ. И это не считая ресурсов и человеко часов, а на производство еды для строителей тоже энергия тратиться, и на добычу ресурсов ТОЖЕ, в общем чтоб отбить ПОЛНОСТЬЮ ВСЮ затраченную энергию, уйдет вообще 400 ЛЕТ =).
И если думать над этой темой серьезнее, то остается вопрос: Сами то как считаете фантазеры, заебись эта тема??? ИЛИ НАВЕРНО ПОЛНАЯ ХУЙНЯ????

רעיונות נחמדים ! צריך לבחור מיקום שבו הגלים אחידים יחסית לאורך השנה (בד"כ כשהגלים נוגעים בחוף מישורי). במקרים כאלה יהיה מרחק גדול יחסית בין מקום אגירת המים למקום שאיבת המים. כמו כן יש לשאוב כמות משמעותית של מים כדי להניע טורבינה בגודל בנוני ומעלה. אבל בגדול הרעיון נראה בר יישום ושווה לבדוק אותו !

Pada sistem ini pembangkit listrik tenaga gerak ombak menggunakan prinsip kerja piston tabung. Saat gaya gerak gelombang laut mengangkat pelampung maka piston mendorong cairan dan udara untuk mengalir keatas/kesamping. air dan udara yang terdorong itu sialirkan ke penggerak generator. ketika air dan udara telah melewati penggerak pada generator maka akan mengalir kembali ke laut. Saat air mengalir kembali kelaut juga dilewatkan melalui turbin lainnya sehingga terdapat dua kali gaya naik dan turun yang menghasilkan gaya putar kemudian diubah menjadi gaya listrik. Gaya ini akan terus berulang sesuai besarnya gelombang laut. Desain alat bisa berbagai bentuk.

First is the cost of building this,second...how much would be the cost of manteinance....btw,we all know the coast water is not pure,but mixed with sand,wich eliminates from the start the water pumping version,it wouldn't last not even a day till the seales will be destroyed by the sand and also will end filled with sand deposits shortly

Uhm, the first few proposals with the buoys aren't going to work. I don't think the up/down motion of the tidal waves represent the bulk of the usable potential energy. The forward/backward motion of the waves are where you get enough potential energy to justify a system. So I think your system will barely get enough power and the construction of the piston assembly MUST be very robust to withstand the sideways force exerted on the buoys by the passing waves. There's a few reasons why tidal wave generators are very difficult to break-even, namely corrosion, erosion and the erratic nature of the waves. The tidal waves aren't these silky, perfect-sine-wave-looking fluid, they're extremely chaotic with a mixture of turbulent and laminar flows, composite frequency and amplitude going in several directions. Which means maintenance and repairs are on-going and non-stop, and since it's in the sea, it's going to be difficult and expensive.

The weakness of those designs are moving parts that are not electricity generators (regulating valves and arms). The only moving elements should be waves or moving water and electric turbines. There is also missing element of flexibility - they are all massive constructionist pinpointed to ground. The electric turbine should have flexibility to be anchored to any place where water flows the same as boat. The design is very simple and efficient but I can not post picture in comment.

Because of corrosion? You get corrosive resistive coatings. You are losing a bit of your efficiency though. The buoy on the waves move in a rotating motion. If you placed pneumatic compressors at the top and hydraulic compressors at the bottom with check valves in all the right places or maybe even a Tesla valve, you can make use of more energy generated by the horizontal motion of the buoy.

(Not just at one place but at all the edges. Think of the buoys as being in a cube. If you can have compressors at every edge you will get a lot more power.)
