Loved your Azores videos. Be in the lookout for a new 2021/2022 flight, from NYC to Madeira Island. Just anounced a couple of data back. Maybe its time to visit Portugal again?
I'll add two more spots accessible via Metro-North : Sleepy Hollow, NY and Croton-On-Hudson for the Great Jack O' Lantern Blaze. Both amazing places for Halloween decorations!
I want to do Sleepy Hollow!!
@@HereBeBarr you're the best you motivated by me to start up my own channel I wish I can come to New York
Also, if you have a car or are able to rent one, the Hudson valley and capital Region are only a ~2-3 hour drive and the views are very picturesque. Apple and pumpkin picking up here are key activities.
Saratoga Springs is a good place to visit in the Capital Region. It's Barr's fellow youtuber Sarah Funk's hometown!
The Saratoga blue bottled water comes from Saratoga Springs. You could stop by the company to pick up a few if you're in town!
When work gets long and hard, I remember I am saving to go to New York and it makes it so much easier
It's during this time of year that NYC becomes even more awesome! Halloween 🎃(My Favorite Holiday) Thanksgiving🦃 Christmas 🎄⛄🎅 and New Year's Eve🎊🎉
I was hoping you would mention the La Barca Cantina. With sunset happening earlier, it's even a better bargain than it was during the summer. Great video anyway!
I thought about it… but still think it’s ultimate summer thing.. so next summer guide ;)
Thanks for this great video! Can't wait to be back in NYC this fall!
I love this video about what to do and try new things in the fall of 2021 in New York City. Great video and very informative and educational! Thank you so much!
Looking forward to a Halloween video/event, if you're doing one 😃. Thanks for the amazing content!
Thanks! Going next year in October. Cant wait.
That Halloween parade looks like so much fun! That's funny that you threw candy to the crowd as the cops were watching. Reminds me of a story my dad told me when he was living in Montreal as a pre-teen or teen, former Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau's car was going by and back then the windows were still open. My dad yelled out, "Mr. Trudeau!" and tossed him a lifesaver. Needless to say it startled the Prime Minister, but he was okay.
Thank you for the awesome Fall ideas.
So excited to fly for the first time next Sunday to see Central Park in Fall 🤗🍁 Love your NYC trip tips.
Thank you for the info about the Treasures at the Public Library. Will be in town next weekend and my history-loving kids will be all in on that. Well done as always!
Love NYC in the fall, especially since I HATE summer in NYC
In New York City til Tuesday morning! Would love to say hi we made it and it’s been a blast so far. Thanks for all the tips!
I absolutely loved this video never disappointed ...cannot wait till next year when I can come to NYC ....
Great video John.. love it...just to add 1 for the barrio kayaking at nite at the Hudson its awesome.....m
New York 😭. I miss you.
This is a great list of different things to do. A little something for everyone. Great vid!
Thanks for your wonderful videos 🇹🇹👍🇹🇹💕🇹🇹🙏😊🇹🇹
I have never been to Governor’s Island, and I’m ashamed to say this, but I’ve never even gone pumpkin picking…..so I’m definitely looking forward to finally going there, and experiencing my first pumpkin patch.
Same! Glad we found out about it
Governors Island is AMAZING!!! It's a true vacation a 5-minute ferry tide away. You will be shocked how just plain different you'll feel going there and then when you go back to Manhattan you'll be stunned by feeling that you really was far away from New York!
I love love your videos!!!! Thank you!
Good vids! I made ressies for the NY Public Library exhibit AND Summit One for later this year. 😊
I feel like i am in fall mode now after watching this! Loved the brownstones in park slope. Glad we did a livestream so i can relive that walk when i want to feel like im in NYC 🤣
😜😜😜
thanks for the video I live in Brooklyn love the fall in NYC.
It’s looks great. Can’t wait get to nyc
I need a video like this for the winter :)
I loves the fall colors in the video.I want to see the Thanksgiving parade in person.
Great suggestions & info.
Thanks Bonnie
Thanks for uploading the NYC Fall Guide Jon ! I will consider visiting Cold Spring NY ! Central Park looks so beautiful in the Fall.
Check out the Magazzino Italian Art Museum. It's free and it's in Cold Spring off RT 9, and there is a free shuttle bus that takes you there from the train station!
Just here to plan on my head a trip to New York in a near future 😀
Thanks for the recommendations and I will love to visit the library this weekend. I also saw the brownstones yesterday.
I also saw you on the subway yesterday, and wow, you exist in real life! 😊
GREAT video! Thank you! I will be visiting this fall from the upper midwest (on the cheap) with my SEVEN kids. We will DEFINITELY be seeing the exhibit in the library! Governor's Island, too. Thank you so much! It's challenging to do large cities on the cheap when you have seven kids in tow.
I really wish I could be coming in October instead of December for my first visit! I guess I'll just have to plan on making my second trip be the October whenever I get to be that blessed! ❤
We went to Treasures based on this video. So amazing.
I can't wait to visit again
Thank you for the foillage advice
What about fishing
Hey thanks for letting me know this quality information! I came across the korean TV program that you came out and I became your subscriber~ I'm planning to go to NYC at the end of this month from south korea and I'm so glad that I got to know your channel. Thank you again
I’m coming on 10/13. Can’t wait!
Just came back from NYC a few days ago. Had an amazing time. Thanks for your videos bro. It helped a lot. Greetings from Aruba 🇦🇼
The squid game costume~~~ it would be so interesting to see people wearing the costume during the Halloween parade! Thank you for the great information, Jon🤗
Chelsea market is nice in the run up to Halloween 🎃
“Members of the barrio” I love when he says that. He is now a full-fledged New Yorker!
Thank you for this video since helps us plan ahead for a future trip to NYC during the Fall. Now, would it be possible to get more insight on the Thnxgiving parade? I.e. things to do with families with children before, during or after parade? Thanks, again!
Amazing video
New York City marathon
Amazing!
Looking forward to do the best this Fall. I like the Fall in New York, but I like going out of the city to experience. Me I like visiting a cabin house in Pennsylvania during the Fall and I already rented to go there in November. 🙂🍁
Sounds epic
Thanksgiving is coming on my birthday, I hope I'd be in the US to be there, so exciting.
Thanks!👍👍👍
Great to see Jon mentioning Beacon, NY. Is Shake Shack your thing? Try Meyer's Olde Dutch in Beacon. It's located on Main St. You'll be hooked on their burgers and the crispy chicken sandwich!
Thank you!!!! 👍🏼
Poughkeepsie is great during the fall as well, great restaurants right on the Hudson 👌🏻
I've always wanted to go.
@@HereBeBarr you wouldn't be disappointed 👍🏻
Summit One Vanderbilt looks incredibly amazing. But their ticket packages confuse me. I'll be heading to NYC for the 1st time since I was a child in November. I hope I can get to Summit, Edge at Hudson Yards and other places your videos has inspired me to go.
Tarrytown and the Mario Cuomo Bridge are nice places during the Fall! Also Bear Mountain is close to Cold Spring - has many trails and great views to take Fall pictures!
It's the Tapan Zee Bridge. If there is one thing I hope Kathy Hochul does it's rename the damn bridge back
Thanks for the great advice (as always)! Would this weekend be too early to go up to Cold Spring? Is there great fall foliage yet?
Too early
Jon!!! We need fall food too, pumpkin pie, psl, apple cider 🍏🍎❤️
Oh damn
fun video
Always amazes me how some historical documents survive the centuries would love to see them , mind you I saw Charles Dickens desk in London 👍
Depending on the type of material the paper is made out of, say for example linen, a document can survive hundreds of years.
@@michelinegros-jean8771 not to to mention climatic conditions as in the Dead Sea scrolls being found in the cave sealed in jars, it really is a matter of chance how organic material can last the centuries.
Otzi and Bog bodies come to mind 👍
I'll be in NYC on the 13th for a week. Do you think the leaves will be changing by then or have they already started?
In all the years I lived in Manhattan, I can't really recall a big cold snap, yielding those beautiful colors. Most years, the leaves just turned brown and then fell off. Considering the number of trees in Central Park, a bit of a disappointment.
Hi John I love your videos, but I just wanted to say, Bed Stuy has some of the most beautiful brownstone blocks in Brooklyn. Bed Stuy may even have the most brownstones in Brooklyn, so we’re not an afterthought. I know the misconceptions, but I would love to see more New York vloggers visiting Bed Stuy. Bed Stuy has so much to offer historically and culturally.
Completely agree ☝🏻
Few to add apple picking, apple donuts, apple cider cider, wine 😀 Take boat cruise on Hudson River. Maybe corn maize? Travel to Salem for Halloween 🎃 Tarrytown (Sleepy Hollow) that prob place all year round btw… There also Columbus Day parade coming up…. And the best event in NYC unfortunately been gone for a while - Madison Scare Gardens.
Ilya you always have great ideas
@@HereBeBarr Thanks! Glad can add some 😀
Don't suppose you're planning another one of these at the begining of next year - asking as now they are going to reopen travel to people from the UK I've rebooked my first nyc trip for the end of february - have a week to enjoys the city :)
Supposed to be in November, lots of articles on this. It's not official, but expected announcement soon.
@@HereBeBarr Yup things are meant to be opening in November - there's been official confirmation of that but not exactly when in november
You do tours?
Nope
Another great video. I hear that America are opening their doors from November, which is great news for my family as we are coming over for New Year’s Eve in the big 🍏
Me and my wife are travelling with my 14 year old son and 7 year old daughter. I’ve seen on previous videos that over 12s need vaccination to get into public places. In the UK they are classing 1 vaccine on minors as full vaccination how about you guys, also what about my daughter?
Hi.how r u and your family.i hope u doing the
Oh no one of my secret plans is here!
🥲
Even though I am a native New Yorker I enjoy watching your videos for great event ideas. Plus I always hit the like button. Cold Spring is really nice .
Parade I saw once when I lived in the village. I would skip these parades -
I honestly think it's too risky as people are getting the virus even if vaccinated. I know someone who is an MD at NYU and he has people who ended up with the virus in spite of being vaccinated.
I think it's still too many people too close together for right now. The parade routes are very packed with people - there is no room to be apart. I know you mean well but I think it's too soon.
Yeah I don’t know how they’re gonna handle that
@@HereBeBarr They don't either. I didn't want to come off as challenging you.You have a great channel. If you want I can edit comment don't mind just trying to be helpful. We are all so tired of the whole thing -want some sense of a normal world but need to be safe.
I support your channel as has excellent content and you really care about what you put out -not everybody does. Thank you !
You're fine.
Hey, question how to proof your vaccination if you are a tourist in nyc ?
Wat about a visit to the queens market or Roosevelt island
Roosevelt would be fun!
I was actually in NYC on vacation for 2 weeks. Returned home last Wednesday. Got the opportunity to visit Roosevelt island and I loved it.
At this moment in time do you need proof of vaccination to enjoy most of New York going as a tourist?
When is the best week for fall foliage?
change by the year, check the fall foliage maps online.
@@HereBeBarr thanks 👍
❤
Anything good happening next week or 15 thru 18
Big like 👍
Super 👍👍👍👍
Greetings from Istanbul 🙏🔥🙏🔥🤝🤝🤝
Do upstate NY instead, fall is the best time to visit the Adirondacks, Catskills, Finger Lakes, and the Hudson Valley
I wish I was born in NY :( :(
Say, He is God, the One. God is absolute. He does not beget not is He begotten. And there is nothing comparable to Him.
You kind of look like Berlin from La Casa de Papel
I've been getting that a lot lately
You can't book any dates at the Summit One.
Why did you do a Darby Allen for that Halloween? Just kidding Darby is well known for his Mexican inspired face paint when he wrestles every week on AEW but only half his face is painted. It’s supposed to invoke a skull like appearance that he actually tore off half his face to expose the bone but it’s a tribute to the time he spent on the luchador circuit in Mexico mostly with triple A and CMLL.
Orlando around fall has a lot of good events happening. Starting in September Halloween horror nights starts at universal studios and is always worth going to as it’s frightening yet a good way to spend a weekend night every weekend. Disney changed this year from Mickey’s not so scary Halloween party to Boo Bash which is a ticketed event but honestly it’s the same thing but it’s a nice little party you have fun at. Busch gardens and sea world run Howl o Scream but this is sea world’s first time doing one. Busch gardens tries scaring you with land based monsters while sea world has a dark sirens of the water theme going on with four haunted houses. You honestly don’t know what is going pop out at you next. Most of the smaller parks around Orlando do haunted houses or a drive through scare attraction to keep within pandemic restrictions. The things around Orlando we look forward to the most are Halloween horror nights in September, grinchmas in the winter, and Disney’s classic Christmas maybe give kids the world light show (the give kids the world is a charity that gives terminally Ill children a full weeklong vacation all fully paid and they stay in a full donated neighborhood that is real but they go to Disney and universal for free because the charity works with the theme parks and attractions around Orlando to give tickets for free and let them just be kids, the light show was a fundraising thing they did with every business and chain that a business or whatever decorates a house the way they like and they donate a little money too, they are doing it again this year). In summer usually it’s the red, hot, and boom event as that is an all day concert of different artists and a nighttime fireworks show. It’s alway a good time here in Orlando as something is always coming just we expect it but it’s worth the wait.
Upstate NY is about 2 weeks behind in color change.
You gotta stop spilling the beans on all the local activities. Also you mentioned my neighborhood, I’ll look for tourists walking around taking pictures.
