  • PRF or Platelet Rich Fibrin is the new cutting blood concentrate with amazing results. In lots of treatments, it is the new PRP. Dr. Debra Durst discusses the differences and answers many questions that patients have about these new amazing treatments
PRP is spun at a higher rate and a longer period of time. PRF has some white blood sells, proteins, stem cells, etc. The big thing with PRF is that it is used without anticoagulant. PRF is more difficult to inject but is very beneficial.
Under the eye is a favorite among all the locations that PRF can go. They also discuss how medical grade skincare can aid in that process!
Hair is another area for PRF to take a front seat to PRP hair restoration treatments.
    Topics discussed:
    PRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin)
    PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma)
    Eye bags
    Eye discoloration
    Tired eyes
    Hair restoration
    Better than under eye filler

Hi, thanks love the video. My therapist uses the same machine for PRP as PRF, is this ok or should there be a special PRF machine?

The same machine can be used if you can adjust the settings for time and rpm's. Thank you for listening!

Would it be better to use blood from umbilical cord to get brand new stem cells instead of old stem cell from say the sixty year old trying to look younger?

Could you please give details of centrifuge. I usually spin it at 700 or 800 revolutions for 5minutes and always get a big fibrin clot. I dont know how to use that clot or how to prevent fibrin clot & just get the liquid prf. Please guide

Are you using the EZPRF system. We had the same issue and finally had to buy it and the kits. Well worth it. We were spinning at 1000rpm for 5 min but varied it some to stop getting a clot. Never were successful. It still has to be a straight stick. Have pts hydrate as well. Try the 1000 rpm and if not successful then get their spinner and kits. It is well worth it and smaller. They have a cooler as well which gives you more time to inject. Now we use for hair as well. Hope this helps. RMD team.

I just had PRP under my eyes last month and I'm going for a 2nd PRP in March and maybe a 3rd in April, but after listening to your video I hope the money I'm spending is worth it. I know it's not a filler, but I just thought my under eyes would benefit by getting thicker, healthier skin with more elasticity under my eyes Etc, I am 59 and I have the circles under my eye causing hollows. My skin is great looking for 59 everywhere else just that eye area bothers me. I didn't want to have a regular filler at my age because I've been reading a lot. That fillers aren't so great for people over 50. So I thought this more natural approach would be better. My Doctor doesn't do PRF as of yet, just the PRP....will I notice a difference with PRP?

      @RevitalyzeMD  Před 5 měsíci

Under eyes is the thinnest skin in the body so the regenerative effects of prp/prf help regenerate and improve blood flow and discoloration. Under eye filler is the one with the most common complaints of migration and effects that patients are unhappy with---so yes prp/prf is the best option and we think you will love the results!

We love prf and prefer it due to the slow release of growth factors. Both work, we just feel results are much better with prf. Thanks for listening!
