Had an SR500 many years ago.... great on winding mountain roads....
They're like the ABBA revival revival band, they look virtually identical to the original impersonators
1978 SR500 2J2 👍
If they made a something like the Rd from the 70s... I'm sure would sell loads... Although I like these
Yamaha do Brasil, traz essa máquina pra cá. Com certeza sucesso de venda.
Parece boa, deve ser economica, já é de injeção e tem sonda Lan, parece-me, o seu estilo é classico para quem gosta é optimo.
I'd ride one.
Please Sir, let me know where I can find a saddle that is the same and identical to that of the yellow SR Yamaha 60th anniversary ....
It is too beautiful, if you can please tell me the brand or manufacturer of this element of the bike.
Please let me know dear Sir
thanks a lot
Hi , what seat is it on the yellow one? Is it an aftermarket one or just a one off? :-)
Nifty. 400s are great. Only angry macho guys get the big bikes
Show, lakei
How does the 400 perform vs the 500 ?
retro honda 400cc clone in philippines,,$2,500 called motorstar 400 .
nice bike but not for six thousand dollars
3,000 USD should be enough
@@tangchiprathomo819 very cheap- 4000 - 5000 in Germany usual
This bike will sale in entartic not in india. Only twin here
Yamaha's legendary RD350 and RD400 have set the standard so high, I question why they even produced this slow semi-cruiser. I doubt if it will sell well.
It's been selling well for 40 years
Patrick Young : RD vs.SR no way .... totaly different Bikes - RD is a racing toy - SR is a relaxing semi sport Cruiser
That was only about a $900 bike in 1974. ????
Yep, back when it was a street legal race bike/giant killer called the RD400. It took Daytona one year, I think it was still the RD350. Blazing acceleration, 6 speeds, dual discs, this little two stroke could out accelerate and certainly out handle 95% of any bike available, at a cost of $995. It is SO sad 2 strokes never figured out a way to keep the emissions down, nothing else gave you that totally insane rush of power. And little Yamahas were also painted up beautifully
The SR is not an RD and have little in common. The TZs took Daytona. If you ever make it to the Leeds, AL Barber Motorcycle Museum (go during the Vintage Days if possible) you can see all the above at the world's largest motorcycle museum and buy vintage two strokes and parts at the swap meet and visit the VJMC area. vjmc.org/
That's about 3600 bucks today and EFI isn't enough to account for the extra markup.
I was very interested until I see the only kick starting.
If you want realy to Start you will be succesfull
@@wolfgangwind788 I went with the Enfield classic 500, electric and kick start.
Why didn't they keep the 500 cc displacement? Dumb
They stopped making 500's in 2000 but have always made a 400 since 1978 for the Asian market.
I've heard 90% of the parts are comparable to the 500's and I'm pretty sure it's possible to increase the capacity to 500
Kick start? Five speed? Overpriced by a third. Another Yamaha F.U. to the customer.
