Pakistan and Bangladesh are two countries who are still retaining the legacy of Steam engines and manual SIGNALS as well as mechanism of altering tracks to divert to another route.
Reason is that they are younger REPUBLICS still under BRITISH HANGOVER.
OTHER LARGE COUNTRIES IN Asia have developed their railways by latest technology , equipments and rolling stock. Steam trains are retained by them on hill stations as HERITAGE PICES.
