I remember being getting into kpop in 2018 that was an iconic year that gave us love scenario, latata, d4 and so much more. Those were such bopsâš
imo:
1. 4th gen isnât bad, but only stanning them doesnât expose you to other amazing groups. but like who you want i donât judge.
2. only stanning bgâs isnât bad if youâre not sexist and misogynistic towards ggâs. nobody needs a reason to defend themselves. but it being acceptable to only stan ggâs is wrong because itâs double standards.
3. dislike what you want, i honestly donât care and it doesnât affect me. people have different taste.
4. like what you want, people have different taste but i would try experimenting with other concepts! :)
5. doesnât matter to me, iâm not going to force someone to stan a group.

10. people have different taste and preferences. i honestly like 2021 kpop but i donât think it was the best. for me iâd say 2009-2012, 2017-2019 and 2020 !!
11. o.o was really good to me, i learned the entire dance. itâs really good. so someone else likes or doesnât like it, i donât mind.
12. iâve never watched it myself but i donât stan seventeen that much. even if they havenât watched it i wouldnât care.
13. iâve met lots of people who donât know clc, but it didnât change my views about them.
14. i could understand. not everybody looks to see if their members were former kpop idols in other groups. i didnât know hyuna was apart of two different groups until just a year ago.
15. they are a new group so not everybody is going to know about them. i havenât even listened to it. but the chorus is nice!

Yes to all of these!! kind of silly imo when people say not knowing/liking particular groups or songs is bad/lame. the beauty of kpop is that thereâs so much variety-everyone can listen to what appeals to them personally and not feel obliged to listen to everything.

I stan bg mainly because the music appeals to me more than gg. I haven't yet found a girl group who I like for both music and personalities, or who I can connect to. I honestly don't think there's anything wrong with only stanning bg unless you make it into a red flag. I do listen to a lot of girl group music, I just don't 'stan' any groups in a sense.

1. 4th gen is definitely not the best in kpop, but I don't a give a f if someone thinks so. Just let me listen to energetic on daily basis
2. I'm a stanner of both, mainly ggs, but I don't see the problem with being bg stan only. Why supporting girls and only girls is fine (which IS definitely fine) but supporting boys and only boys is immediately a red flag? Either way is nice I think

Something I want to say to No. 2: boy group Stans:
I think it's not automatically bad, if you only stan boy groups. It can be bad, if you start stanning in a toxic way, for example toxic masculinity.
But the same can happen with girl groups. You can start getting obsessed in a bad way, too. In this case with toxic femininity.
Even if you stan both it can be critical, since regardless of what you stan, it's you who start stanning in an unhealthy way.
I think stanning bg in general is fine, just like stanning gg or both. As long as you are down-to-earth Stan, respectful towards other Stans or other groups.
It is okay to support men or only men, as long as you're treating the opposite gender fairly and as long you don't become toxic.
Supporting women and only women is okay, too, as long as your treating all genders equally and in an untoxic way...
But @soojin's love, I already experienced toxic bg Stans, and because of that I can understand your pov:)

'going seventeen' is seventeen's original variety show! for the first two or three years it was in a format of vlogs recorded while the boys had their activities but later the format has changed and the episodes began being based on doing challenges, skits and literally EVERYTHING. also some of the episodes have been aired on TV last year, mostly on JTBC2 and JTBC4 and the episodes are always uploaded on svt's youtube channel on wednesdays since the season 5/pre-rtl era (earlier they used to be uploaded on mondays)
