It would have been nice if they respected the lore/canon and had him lose his eyes by looking into the well of souls via Shang Tsung's deception
So in this universe, Kenshi is a fool who takes him at his word and walks right into what he was warned to be a trap.
Well he definitely needs Virgil's Motivation on power.
And then his Trauma turns into a Motivation to steal his son's arm and grow a massive tree to evade Taxes.
He is not motivated that's why he lost his eyes
They could have made Ermac look better and could have at least actually showed us how he lost his eyes instead of leaving us all wondering
Dude this was made on a shoestring budget and it's still the best MK related live action movie/series

Kenshi played his role well but the fight in the cave is zero action
I think that MK Legacy could’ve been an impressive show if they actually based it more on lore.
Kenshi would work perfect with the swordsman being introduced as anxious and arrogant with this being his very downfall with the old man actually being presented as Shang Tsung and leading Kenshi down a dark path would find the well of souls leading to Kenshi releasing thousands of his ancestors and the old man would reveal himself as Shang Tsung.
This would give a more profound reason for Kenshi to be brought into the MK Tournament with Kenshi swearing vengeance against Shang Tsung for blinding him.
Liu Kang story was interesting but didn’t feel right a story that would’ve worked perfectly is by having his character be introduced as an orphan who was taken in by Raiden into the White Lotus Society.
U can direct ur own impressive show right away.

Shang Tsung (his sword has the souls of Kenshi's ancestors, Tsung tricked him and attempted to take the souls, failing but blinding him in the process of attack)
Yeah that looked kinda dumb. Ermac and... explosion? It's not Sonya's or Stryker's grenade man, it's Ermac. Doesn't make sence. But i know it's Kevin Tancharoen's vision not pretending to be canon so i get it

I would assume another job came along that he wanted more, because right after he walked away from this, he did several episodes for "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" and then "The Flash". In 2014, he said he'd like to go back and finish the MK series, but if it ain't happened in the 8 years since, I ain't holding my breath.

It's an episode from a web series called Mortal Kombat Legacy
What MK movie is this?
It's not a movie. This is from the MK Legacy series. It only lasted two seasons. Some episodes were decent. It all started from that a trailer that was done back in 2010 that was called MK Rebirth. At the time, it got many people hyped that this would be the trailer to a new Mortal Kombat movie since it had been about 15 years since the last two MK movies. The series focuses on introducing each character/s by giving them their own episodes before making it to the MK tournament.

Season 2 was absolutely horrible. It's cinematography was below the lowest budgeted sci-fi channel movie and the choreography was worse than Xena: warrior princess. Mortak Kombat: Legacy season 1 as low budget as it is, is 10x better in all areas
