He told her he was taking over she came to tell me and said he could not talk to her now. The old guard spoke to her. And she said can I have a photo, he said yes. So I got my step daughter to say to the new guard "I could drink you under the table" as she stood next to him. He took a huge breath stared at the camera with cheeks filled out doing his best not to burst out laughing while the old guard fell about laughing and I said in a daft voice... say cheese.
'I feel so sorry for him... Let's watch it again' 🤣
Pretty sure taunting the guards has been a thing tourists do for at least several decades, well prior to cell phones. Getting a reaction was a dare. People standing in their way . . . I think a lot of that is also deliberate.
I feel sorry for him but let's watch it again 😁
Wouldnt the metal studs on the bottom of the shoes be a tactical blunder? What If the guards need to start running.
I once visited Buckingham palace with my family we saw the royal guards doing there active duty and one numpty stood in front of one and yes he’s got a job to do so the pleb of the by stander planted the ground and got up looked disgusted but it was her fault for being in the way massive respect for the royal guards.
4:18 there's something about the way this guy falls that makes me think he wasn't _really_ passing out, he went down knees first and had his arms out to cushion the fall, it just doesn't quite look involuntary.
FYI to anyone watching the video, the hats are still made of real bear. They tried synthetic but it looked awful and the black dye ran very quickly. But the bears are culled by the Canadians and those bear skins are used, the culling is good for the bears as a whole.
The two girls who kissed the guard in their video actually asked him if they could first and he nodded. But yes, people shouldn't do that anyway.
Maybe he was making plans for the end of his shift.
@@sebastianb.3978 ehm. That’s Bria and Chrissy, they’re lesbian.
@@timbackman5915 Did he know that when they asked to kiss him tho? XD
I read stories of wee lassies who show the guards their.....wears....to try to break their attention. The guards say they just try to keep their composer and enjoy the view. It's good to be the Queen's Guard.
I feel so bad for him, I feel so bad. Let’s watch it again. Oh my gosh I laughed out loud when you said that.
Dude your videos are sooooooo entertaining. Keep it up
Don't worry, the guards get their revenge on these ignorant tourists. I've heard stories about them on their off times. Slingshots and ball bearings sound painful
The hats make them look like Dr. Sues characters.
Some people are so disrespectful to the Queen's guards. I'm American and have great love and respect for the British people and its military. It's awesome we are friends and allies!
It’s so early for me when he posted this lol, still gonna watch it
The British grenadier was wearing bearskin hats since about 1760. The only difference is the fur use to be brushed upwards rather than down like it is now and the design is different.
the hats are iconic and instantly recognisable
What they should think about doing IMO is maybe keeping the metal studs on the front so when they stop it still does the *CLACK* but slip some rubber studs in the back or something to give them heel grip so when they stop they actually, ya know, stop.
EDIT: Spelling
