First :) 🤙
Nerd.
3 seconds in and you already feel beamed into another world , due to music and pictures. then you get to see stuff you have never seen before and it is shown so simple that even a newby like me can uderstand how it is done and all that without words. room for imagination is left open during the next moving pictures and it looks so beautiful. then this man finaly starts to talk and tell you about his own imagination. explaining some facts as well as showing possibilities. THIS IS HOW GREAT VIDEOS ARE MADE ! cant wait to see more. thank you !!!
thank you for the kind words! i'm glad you enjoy them in this deep way🙌🏼
Dig the hard shell setup. If I had to nit pick, the side entrance would be a bummer on wet or snowy conditions. The rear setup on the tundra to use the "awning" would be by choice. Love it though!
The truck is looking Sweet. It keeps getting better with each mod. Thanks for all the hard work on the videos. They are great, keep each of us in your adventures. Stay safe.
Looks good Edward! Can't wait to see what you have in store with the next upgrade!
My wife and I have been enjoying watching your new videos along with some older ones. Really like your content.
Thanks Mike!
The build is coming along nicely! This RTT complete the overlanding build and put it all together nicely.
Thanks Michael, the build is almost complete! (Maybe 😆)
@@KrokemOutdoors Time and money haha
Great review, rig is starting to look real good!
That is an epic set up brother!! Excited to see you really test it out!
Sweet set up man excited to see what adventures arise with this
Love the new tent and how you came to the conclusion it was right for you!
Thank you Deirdre!
Great to see you Happy with your truck build Edward, the Ram is looking good. Thanks for the pics of Chloe she is Beautiful. Can't wait to see where you take us next 😍👊✨👍
Got the full on OverRam setup now brother!! Looking good, love the videos, keep up the badass content! 👊🏽
Thanks! Will keep delivering 👊😎
The ladder is dope. Much love ❤️
Awesome video and gear. Wish they had this stuff when I was younger 😎
Great update. Looking really nice. Does look like a tight fit for two. Possibly on top items you hope never to need while driving. Like your shovel and traction boards. You could even put a cargo box with recovery gear. That would free up where you have those items mounted now for other gear you use more often.
I usually find myself using the recovery gear more often in the winter, so I placed them on top of the roof for easy access. Let's hope I won't need to use them!
Great video!! 👍 Can't wait for the new adventures to begin 👍👍
Stay tuned 😉🙌
I have a 2021. I love what you are doing to this thing. Benchmark.
Awesome editing on this video!
For me personally I am sticking with a ground tent until I can afford to get teardrop (either factory built or I build it) due to messed up knees, girlfriend has her own physocal issues, and dogs. But that does look amazing for sure.
Makes sense to go with a ground tent. We are currently using one when Katie and Chloe join, since we need to fit a pack'n'play in there. There's really no wrong way to enjoy camp, especially when you're able to do it with people you care about
Love the look bro. Nice set-up!
Gnarly upgrade like the others, loving it!
Thanks! 👊🤙
“If you live in Portland”! 🤣 Nice jab! 👍👍👍
Note to self, avoid Portland Oregon. Got it 😂 love the build so far 👍🏼👍🏼
LOL. thanks Josue!
I caught that too, 😂
I agree!
As someone who lived in Portland before, it's where you'll find the most racist conservative and most hippie liberals. Kinda of a paradox.
When I grow up I wanna be just like you Edward!! Great videos brother !
I got the same RTT, it came in a couple of days ago but won't be able to install it for another couple of weeks. I'm super excited to test her out. Great video!
Congrats ! You’re gonna love it 🤙
Looks awesome can’t wait to see some good snow camping video’s too!
I can't wait to share them!!!
Looks good Edward! That's a great solo rig right there. I look forward to seeing the CVT up close and hearing your long term thoughts after using it a while!
Thanks Donald! I’m looking forward to sharing my thoughts! 🍻
Great rig, Ed!! Nicest colour too. Great cinematography! The drone shots were epic. Not your atypical overlanding video but great to see diversity in this genre of YT video. Keep up the great work, bruh!
That's really nice Edward. I hope it serves you well.
Looks like a nice setup. 👍🏻😎
Great review!
I have installed the Decked and the Smart Cap so far on my 2021 FX ranger
Very nice presentation. I hav a smitty built roof top tent. My first . It a huge upgrade from a ground tent. Your new set up looks great. 👍
Nice setup Ed!
Thanks Alan!
Sweet setup!
Thanks Chris!
You want trade trucks lol. Sweet set up man ready for some winter adventures. Thanks for sharing
Nice build!
thx really enjoyed that video!!
Edward, your rig is bad ass...period.
Thanks Jonathan 🙏🙌👊
I want that truck!!! 😍
Loving the tent color. Has the rig looking matched up and mean !
Thanks Chris, I appreciate it brother 🤙
Hey Edward my friend, nice camper tent best of all nice to see baby Chole, your new tent looks easier to put up and fold down copair to your other one you had on the tundra, always be safe on your outing, hi to Chole, Katie, and little Bernie, Aloha bro
“Or if you live in Portland Oregon!”….awesome!!!
Good looking tent.....I'm wanting the Alu-Cab, but looking at all of them.
Awesome rig! I have been wanting to change over to a "bed rack" system for a while now, my only concern is the exposed fridge. How do you deal with the weather elements and dust with the exposed fridge?
I’m seriously considering going rtt for this
Beautiful rig...👍
Thank you 🙏
The tent for the rig looks to have good quality materials
Absolutely does
Thae trucks looking great! We are moving from San Jose Ca to Asheville NC we drove thru Flagstaff this weekend we seen a lot of overland vehicles on the road.
Oh I bet!! I wish I went to the Expo so bad
I drove the BDR section from Ellensburg to Cashmere/Wenatchee a couple weekends ago. There is a section near the Mission Peak trailhead on FR9712 (about 5 miles from wenatchee) that is still washout out. Forest Service page update about 3 months ago says it has been repaired but I have found other videos on youtube from 2018 and 2020 of the washouts and it hasn't changed. I had to back track quite a bit and come down Blewett Pass
Thanks for the heads up!
I like the setup. Does this tent comes with optional extended canopy all the way to the floor?
"Or, if you live in Portland Oregon". - love it.
....especially if you live in Portland, OR. Awesome video!
gotta hit the like before watching haha ! lets gooo!!
Yeah man!!! 👊
Is there any accessories for covering the outside of the truckbed rack to convert the space between the RTT and the Deck System into sleeping platform? I envision something that connects to the track system of the RTT and creates a soft-top type cover
Great video, and awesome truck. How long is the inside of that tent, and how tall are you do your feet hit the roof when you’re laying down
I love the padlock it if you want to leave it for a while, or in Portland. When you know you know.
Starting my journey ;)
I love that build man. I keep referencing it when I do things to my first gen rebel. I was also looking at that tire carrier. I'm thinking of moving up to 35's as well. Does that little wheel thing come with it? I'm assuming its to keep you from bottoming it out?
I don't think the build is ever complete Edward. They're coming out with new gadgets every day lol. You're doing a great job.
It’s true, lol. Thanks John 🙌
Loving the progress! Do you think pillows would be able to stay in the tent and close?
Thanks! depends on the pillow. Anything really thick filled with foam, probably not,. but a thinner one or a blow up one definitely will.
I would love to know more about your bed rack system. Not sure if anyone else has asked, but would love to check it out. Thanks and nice video!
"or if you live in Portland, Oregon" 😂😂 Subscribed
6:42 before a word was spoken. Haha
If it rains a lot in your area, are you going to want an awning over the opening to prevent your bedding from getting wet, or is there enough room where the bedding doesn't butt directly up to the door?
The bedding will stay fairly dry unless I have condensation inside, which I’ll try to avoid. Also, if needed, I can use the ladder on the rear of the tent which has the overhang
Love your videos. Can you do a little bit on why you went to the Mt. Hood from the Falcon XL? Was it just the dual rail option on the main body? Those are kind of my top two right now.
i second this. i am considering the Falcon and wondering why you didnt stick with that. thanks!
I'm really curious to what kind of a hit your fuel mileage took with the wheels and tires you recently added.
Awesome
Would one of those tailgate ladders, that fit inside the tailgate, be good for you???
Rig and RTT look awesome! Is this your everyday ride and will you leave the RTT mounted full time?
The RTT will be mounted 24/7, but Katie has a car which I'll drive sometimes for quick drives into the city.
You going to go over everything in the bed and boxes? I would like to know details and power set up for the fridge. Love the build. Looks perfect how it is.
Thanks! I am planning to do a full build walkaround and will definitely go over that section 👍
@@KrokemOutdoors sweet man. Keep it up! My build is coming along too and following all yours closely.
Lol love the Portland Oregon swipe …. No homeless camping here buddy love all your videos watched for a long time I’m near battleground lol I get it
Maybe mount 2 flat 100 watt solar panel on the tent hard top?
What brand shirt are you wearing? I dig it!
Funny comment about living in Portland, OR and using padlocks. Eventually our country will get its rear in gear and clean up its cities so that they will be nice places to visit once again. Great build by the way. Looking to do something similar on my truck.
Does the double channel come with a thicker mattress? Or is there just an extra 2" of interior space
What’s the wheel and tire setup ? Looks nice thanks
your portland comment made me lol and sub.
I’m not gonna lie, I watched this entire video to see how you get up into the tent… 🤓🤓🤓 I have a 2008 Honda Civic, so I’m not looking for one of these tents, I just thought it looked cool. 🥳🥳🥳
Yay!
Which one do you like better? Roofnest xl or cvt large?
Dude I live in Portland I plan on building a overlanding rig with a 2dr jeep wrangler
Did you have to use risers to get clearance over the roof? I'm doing same setup, same truck.
Hi Edward, which size of Mt. Hood did you go with?
Oh emm gee 😱 🎉❤🫶🏼!!
Hows this one compared with the roofnest falcon????
What’s your take on lifts? Yes to a lift and if so how high? Or do you not think lifts are necessary? And this is in regards to an “entry level” overlander/outdoorsman
I think a lift is great if it’s to help you with your build, meaning whether it’s to allow for bigger tires, or gain more clearance. If you don’t need bigger tires or clearance, then it’s not a necessity. I also personally wouldn’t want a lift that’s too high, since that would raise my center of gravity
@@KrokemOutdoors it’s such a tricky subject in my brain though. The world of lifts is so easy to get lost! Thank you for your reply!
Got a viewer from west Tennessee
Welcome !
Edward, How hard is it to wrap a Tundra when doing it yourself? I'm thinking of just putting a wrap on the Roof of my 2020 TRD PRO. Is it fairly easy to do as I know you started and had a little of a learning curve on it.
It does take a lot of patience, which is key. Also, you will have to peel and stick back on here and there. If it's just a roof, it could be a good place to start, since any mistakes you make won't be clearly visible . I would suggest practicing on a small piece like a cup or something first
@@KrokemOutdoors Thanks Edward.
How do you like CVT as a brand/company? I just got my first RTT from them and got the Mt. Washington for $1500. They are discontinued models now so they are getting rid of them. I couldn't pass it up at that price.
Any issues with CVT'S weight? at 193/206#(double channel) its 53ish lbs. heavier than comparable mfg. I'm looking at CVT and ROOFNEST(which is 140#)
Where did you get the wheel mount for the bumper?
Any updates on the tent?
What kind of bumper do you have on your truck ? Can you put a link to it please
The bumpers are stock Rebel bumpers, but for the front lights I use a Randy Ellis designs light bar mount
😍
Oh she’s lookin real Purdy 😁
How tall are you and can you sleep with your legs fully extended?
HA! "Or if you live in Portland, OR" In Seattle, we get it 😅
Completely unrelated to the tent, what did you put on your tailgate to make it a flat surface?
