      What do you mean a break is something that doesn't exist? That's the reason why you feel overwhelmed. Just chill out and do something else. Like get another hobby outside art. I personally picked up guitar and start playing a bit when I feel overwhelmed from drawing or like the video said watch a movie or something. If you REALLY have an itch to draw, just doodle while you watch a movie.
      As for feedback, try finding art discord servers. Like not big ones, just small enough so people can see your stuff.
      As for inspiration, literally anyone could be inspiration. Most of my inspirations are musicians instead of artists. Maybe try branching outside other works outside drawing and such.
      Don't do that "I will try being kind"
      You WILL be kind to yourself

    Had a creative burnout because of university. It was really bad place and I think I lost my own self as an artist because of studying there. Took me 2 years to get rest from creative work to finally get over it, and now I am slowly drawing again and very happy with myself. So yeah,sometimes it can even take years to recover. It's ok, and it doesn't make you less of an artist if you take such long breaks.

      the worst thing, for me is that when "resting" I feel like i'm wasting my life and not doing anthing

      @wobblestone3148 you dont waste, you take time to recharge to be more efficient and happy in your life because then its quality is better, so dont force yourself when you out of mana

    My best tip: start writing down your dreams. Dreams are a great source of inspiration. You can even draw them too.
    I also highly recommend getting into lucid dreaming as this will allow you to explore your mind much deeper than before

    Thanks for this video. I usually have burnouts these days. I'm nervous around people sometimes and my family blames me and says that I'm ignoring people but that's not true. I hate it when people judge my behaviour. I don't act like this on purpose.

    As a CZcamsr and content creator, I can relate to this feeling of not being able to ever create something good again. School and issues irl really drain my motivation and stop me from making more videos and content. I just end up feeling numb, sad or tired, but at the same time, I fear that people think I quit because I'm inactive. I used to post every Sunday at first, but now I just post pretty much every two weeks due to lack of motivation and inspiration. And the worst is that I am aware that I'm not creating anything for my channel, but at the same time I don't feel like working. It's a really difficult thing for me to talk about, so the fact that this video appeared in my notifications felt like it was a sign.
    In the end, I have to say that these tips look actually helpful and I'll make sure to try them. Nobody usually talks about stuff like this, so thank you so much for this Psych2go. You never fail to give me good advice and to comfort me about my own thoughts and feelings. I'll forever be thankful for you all

      @@Psych2go Oh my goodness thank you so much for replying, the story follows a protagonist who is a vampire hunter because her town has become infested with vampires throughout the years, and after taking years off due to a heavy experience she goes back to help rescue the future mayor of her town. The story is a metaphor for dealing with ptsd, it's a warning of what can happen if left untreated.

    I have creative anxiety,,, when I was in pandemic in 2019 I was scared and got my first anxiety...will I was until... inspired and make a Crater...and it torn out great... inspiration is everywhere and great...and take a break as will,,, also you can not Drow if your stress out will I do is sleep until 7 and 8 am sleep early and wake up at 7 am... and it gives me more motivated to make my dreams as a CZcamsr... someday...❤️❤️❤️

      @@Psych2go i often try making something new and unique that I haven't tried before and that helps gain creativity back really fast. And if that doesn't work I try to give myself a break and try again a few days later.

    With the current rise of AI, I think alot of us (especially digital creators) can totally relate. It feels almost pointless yet challenging, hence why we somehow manage to keep going

      @@Psych2go I originally stopped working on it for the same reason I drop similar projects, that being reasons like (I barely scratched the surface and it'd take so long to finish it, it was giving me an issue that seemed really hard to work around, and when ever I do a lot of creating soon after I just kinda feel burnt out) and another big reason I stopped is plain and simple I forgot about it (my memory isn't the best).
      but the reason I started working on it again is cuz I was reminded about it while listening to some song, and when I listen to music I like to imagine the scenes playing out in my head, and I put so many more thoughts, Ideas and concepts into it. I got inspired again and it had a really deep story now that I want people to be able to see and witness, and I think I've made a lot of progress this time, like that issue that seemed really hard to work around is not as big of an issue anymore thanks to this new Technique I found (in theory).
      haven't worked on it in a few days cuz I think I was brunt out again and their is still so much left to make, but at this point I've put to many good ideas into it that It'd be a shame to just drop it again, I'm not giving up on it yet.

    sometimes life just sucks and if your going through that just know your NOT alone you are loved and you will get threw it nothing last forever and you’ll get through it all and life gets better one day you’ll see the light at the end of the tunnel everything will work out for you

    I have a friend who had been struggling with creative anxiety for a few months now and finally opened up to me about it this week. I wasnt sure what to say as I'm not an artist myself and they were having trouble communicating that it was like burnout but also not burnout. These videos often come just at the right time for me and I'm sure for others as well, thank you for making them.

      @@Psych2go just the distinction between the two, I sent them the video but they haven't responded yet. They already sort of did step 1 by venting about it so hopefully they'll find the other advice helpful. They've been trying to define themself using their art to create an avatar for streaming and I was worried they were investing too much emotionally into getting a result out of it. When they fail to create their vision they believe they've lost their spark or that their sense of self is poorly realized and start feeling existentially lost. Another friend of theirs has encouraged them to simply buy assets that they feel represent them from other artists which alleviates the feelings of anxiety about their art and raises their confidence and self esteem, but it only does so temporarily. It is always followed by a crash and an existential crisis. They went through similar cycles when they were creating their own avatars to define themself and they can't afford new art all the time so friends end up enabling them when they are really down, but I worry this is just worsening the cycle and removing autonomy from their process of self definition while also causing the whole process to be more superficial than it previously was.

    Imagine a world of your own making. See a magnificent lego puzzle before you, as big as you like. Let it be in the shape of a goal you'd like in your future. It's already made.
    Now, break a tiny piece off. Unmake it. See how easy it is to hold that tiny piece in your hand.
    Each piece represents one tiny step. Any goal can be broken down into parts. If any one step isn't easy enough yet, that's a good clue that you can break it down further into even smaller bits.

    I'm an artist and I draw on IbisPaintX. Every now and then, I'll have these days where I can just draw and draw and draw. I eventually ware myself out and I don't draw for either a few hours or days. I recently finished a picture and now I don't want to draw anymore. I also don't have any ideas, so that doesn't help much. I have several unfinished art pieces that I just don't have the energy to get to. I hope the steps in this video will help me get back on track. When I'm drawing, it puts me in a really relaxed and determined State of Mind. It's also the only time I can just straight-up listen to Spotify, even with the ads LOL. I can't listen to music for hours unless I'm drawing.

    As a painter I know what it is about. For very complicated reasons we get stuck for more or less long periods, but for equally complicated reasons we then get unblocked and rivers of ideas and inspiration flow through us. They are spontaneous processes of creation and of the mind you have to learn to live them because one leads to another etc...

Ive always felt hated by people who don't give out compliments. It just feels cold. Well I've done my homework, and I've found positive self affirmation, like really unlocked it. Theirs something Magical that helps protect you from narcissists. Like mind blown. I feel great about myself. ❤

    I find all of these steps helpful. I came to the realization that I was disregarding my inner child's interests by dissociating. My major problem now is dealing with the backlog of activities from all those years(undiagnosed) that I neglected. Knowing how to allocate my time is essential. I must do everything slowly so as not to become burned out.

    Been watching the channel for a while now. Honestly, these videos tend to pop up in my feed whenever I start to feel terrible about my current lot in life. I've always been a creative soul, always drawing something or creating some new fantasy world full of characters. When I was younger I've always thought I'd be really good at drawing or maybe writing, heck even went to an art college. But as I grew older my anxiety took a massive hold over my writing to the point I would delete whole world ideas because I didn't like what I had written going "What the fudge was I thinking?". My art suffered too. I love watching art videos here and since going to an art college I do have a lot of artistic friends but over the years it's become the same roundabout in my head. "So and so did it better." "Your idea already is a thing. You are just copying." "You'll never get this looking right so why are you trying?" Slowly lately I've reached out to my friends to help with my art and writing, it's going slow and my anxiety is still there. I still am unsure about drawing and my writing, I still sometimes just stare at the page. But I feel after opening up to my friends about it and trying to be more honest with myself I'm slowly starting to gain not only the confidence I need but also just finding something that I'm honestly just proud of. These videos are honestly a breath of fresh air on a lot of the issues that I've been dealing with over the years and honestly, I think one of the reasons I even reached out to my friends. Thank you. :)

    I’m glad I saw this video 😅 I’m a fanfiction writer and often get burnout or writers block. I’d take breaks, but it’d be months at a time before I have the motivation to update again.     Hey I just watched your twin flame video, thank you for explaining it. I didn't know about that term till today.
    It's been a bit over a year since i lost contact with my twin flame and it's resurfacing in my mind again, I've been writing about the experience and it's making me emotional witch is good because I have a hard time feeling emotions sometimes, but when I was with her all I did was laugh and cry. Unfortunately I wasn't ready and it consumed and destroyed me and I'm still healing from it. I can only hope that she is ok and that one day I will feel that flame again because my life feels devoid of warmth now and I don't wanna live like this.

    For almost 2 years, i created content on animations i made. I loved creating new animations and drawings, and my channel kind of worked.
    But i had a period of time where i used to work on my animations like, starting almost everyday at 10pm and not stopping until i finish posting it. So, even if i had school the next day, i slept at 4am to wake up at 7am. But i think that's just because i rlly loved making content and seeing all of supporting comments were making me feel happy.
    Now, i just stopped because i really needed to sleep more and stop thinking about making more animations.
    It was a good experience for me but not really "healthy".

      @@Psych2go Tips 2 and 3 were the most helpful. I always ask my sister for feedback on what I should write and/or draw next. Sometimes I have to take a break from my project, for a couple of days or weeks.

    I have to remember they're on a different frequency. Closer to animals. These podcasts actually stir memories I had put to the side. The sarcasm can be almost invisible funny how it comes back to us but without the thin veil of deception. Now that is validation!

    Another way is to do some scribbles
    you can just draw scribbles or play a little game
    (i call itio [I tea oh])
    1. scriblle some random stuff (you can open or close your eyes)
    2. once your done open your eyes and try to make something out of it
    have fun!

    I love your videos. You put a lot of effort into your channel. I do wish youd be a big further from the mic though so it didnt pick up on other sounds like whistling though, it would make them more watchable for people with sensory issues (likely a large amount of the people who want to watch)

    The biggest steps in overcoming anything is acknowledging and identifying what it is you need to overcome because if you don’t think anything is wrong you can’t fix it same thing goes for not knowing what it is that’s wrong

    I'm coming around to admitting that I have burnt myself out on art recently. When i was in school i used to churn out art evert day even being able to post every other day, now i dread even picking up a pencil to doodle. I kills me because i know i want to draw and post regularly at the same time I feel exhausted just thinking about doing it.

    To be honest. My anxiety has only gotten worse and worse each day. I tried my best to do these things but any time I do my parents are outdoors scold me for being “lazy” when I’m just tired. I really want to get professional help for myself. Sadly in my family this does not exist.
