I've been playing the game since 2012, never cared about the characters' lores (I think most LoL players don't). After watching this show I finally DO care about the lore. Funny how that works

Same here, I'm not into this genre or gaming, my 20 yr old suggested I watch it with her, I'm hooked it blew me away as well, the graphics, animation ,story and art style are beautiful. Highly recommend!
I would give ANYTHING to be able to experience watching this show for the first time again.
It has insane re-watchability though!!! It actually hit me harder the second time I watched it. Knowing the characters well and knowing what happens adds to the experience in a new way. Just give it a few weeks and be blown away all over again!

Watched all of it and I can safely say I just hate Riot Games that much. Their artstyle, story telling, world building, all of it really bad. But most fans are biased which is how it's got so much praise as it has?

This was without a shred of a doubt one of the most memorable and highest quality viewing experiences I've had in years. Absolute 10/10. Arcane had no business being as good and unique as it was. SO pumped for season 2.

I came into this series expecting amazing animation and not so great writing. Boy was I horribly wrong. I am scarred by how good this series is and I cannot stop comparing EVERYTHING to this masterpiece. Amazing job, Fortiche and Riot. You’ve changed an animator’s mind about how good video game adaptations can be
Exactly, how a video game adaption should be . Even my wife who doesn't really care for video games loved the show so far.
Honestly I came here specifically to complain about the writing. For the most part it was insufferable. Cheap dialog, plot holes, lack of explanation.
But it did look cool.

This show wasn't produced just by animators and illustrators, it really was produced by artists. I had to pause the show just to look at some images and my heart would race just by looking at them, it was just beautiful. I really wish this piece of art is appreciated for generations and not just taken as one more show.

Yeah I'm loving that too... I think it got popular with the Borderlands' art style, then they perfected it with Into the Spider-verse. Now it is the hottest "art trend" in the block. I didn't make any research on how it got popular today though. I am just writing these off the top of my head, so maybe someone more knowledgable will correct me...

The new CGI He-Man series does something similar with its particle effects. It really is a unique looking effect against all the 3D.

My 18 year old daughter asked me to watch this show on Thanksgiving Day with her. I am 47, and fighting Stage IV Breast, Bone, Spine, Incurrable Cancer. We stayed up until 7am, crying, screaming, yelling, laughing. We are a Military Family. The creator, who fought for this show to begin and end. Wow. My daughter told me to watch the documentary, and I will. This show made me think about my own issues with my older sister. This show is magical. The face expressions, the emotions of these characters, BRAVO. I salute the individual who was told that this show was not going to make it. Never give up on your dreams I keep telling my 4 kids. I am finishing my BA online for this reason. You have to keep pushing, when someone says, you can't? Show them that YOU WILL.

Aside from the hundreds of things they blew out of the park, they did an amazing job portraying sisterhood. I've seen plenty of shows/ films about siblings and a lot of them end up being too cheesy, as if the writers either don't have a siblings or created the characters out of wishful thinking. As the younger sister, I don't think I've ever related to a younger sister character as much as I have Jinx.

I cried. More than once. This show is beautiful and so well done, on every level... its really hard to comprehend this is their first attempt at a show. Its so exciting and I really cannot wait to see what else they do. Cant wait for a continuation in this story

I know nothing about League of Legends. But when I say I want Brandon Sanderson's Stormlight Archives adapted into an animated series, THIS is the sort of animation I picture. Damn. It's artistry.
I can definitely imagine Kaladin in this art style, would look amazing.
When I first read the title of the show I thought it was the Arcane Ascension book series. Seeing Stormlight animated like this would be amazing. So many amazing moments from that series.

My friend recommended this show to me. I never even heard of league of legends or seen the trailer for arcane. I had 0 idea what it was about. And I’m glad. It’s was amazing to watch it and not knowing what would happen next

Don't play LoL and not familiar with the lore at all, watched this one a whim. Holy crap am I impressed. Story so far is solid, characters are great, writing is very good, the art is fantastic, and episode 3....holy crap episode 3!

Absolutely not, I am a LOL fan but I watched it with my father who knows nothing about video games and he really enjoyed. Of course there are easter eggs and lore fans will enjoy more references and stuff but you absolutely can enjoy the show without knowing anything

Words cannot overstate how utterly incredible this show is... I was absolutely blown away. Very possibly the best thing I've ever watched and that's not hyperbole. If you're late to the party and stumbled across this trailer and are thinking "I should check this out sometime" you should drop everything you're doing and watch it right now. League has been needing a series for years. There is so much lore to be explored and this better not be the last series we get. The art direction of Riot is in my opinion defining an era.

@@Haveink them being in the same gang has been cannon since the beginning, even caitlyn has a line about jinx even though they arent related. So does urgot. Jinx's sister line was never confirmed (one rioter let it slip i believe) but it was never officially made cannon until this series.

I really enjoyed the style of animation, story and the characters..This is coming from someone who has never played League of Legends and went into the series completely blind. The animators and artists did did an outstanding job with animations, VFX and character designs! Keep'em coming!!

I just finished the season and... D.A.M.N.! This series is one of my new fav shows! I wouldn't change a thing about it. EVERYTHING (graphics, music, storytelling/ writing, voice actors, directing and the animation) is perfection in my opinion. I hope everyone watches this show.... and I also hope Netflix sees the value in it and gets the crew back together pronto to continue this series! Actually, I do have one complaint.... there are not more episodes!
Well it's around 6 hours of highly detailed animation so I'm satisfied but I understand where you're coming from. It also took 6 years to make but hopefully we can get season 2 a lot sooner than that!

This Arcane Netflix series is even better than the League of Legend itself. Thereby you will like it even though you have never played the game. If you are looking for an artistic TV show with great storyline, here is what you were looking for. Your eye will love visuals and your ears will enjoy its music, and your brain will be happy to think about the messages that TV show contains. I am sure that the Arcane series will be a new era of cinematic universe after Marvel. If they keep making these animations with epic quality, they will dominate the media industry for a next generation for sure.

The beauty about the show is the ability to bring out the pain that lies deep under the feeling of being betrayed, by someone who you both share the passion of igniting that flame that set your soul on fire .

I hope I could be like you, brain still in your skull because you don't know ANYTHING about league of legends....trust me don't touch that game or you will be destroyed and all humanity in you will disappear, don't choose that path.
The story is rich and complex enough that it would have worked as a book. The art is beautiful enough that the show would have been worth watching even if the story wasn't special. The music is good enough that it would be worth listening to even if it had no show attached to it. Even if they never made another season, the first season would stand alone as a masterpiece. It is certainly one of my favorite shows of all time.

League Lore is actually pretty garbage and inconsistant. It only has the POTENTIAL to be good and the POTENTIAL for another team that's not Riot to actually flesh it out and make it worthwhile. The lore on it's own is terrible.
Considering their already working on 5 standalone games, I wouldn't be shocked if we get spinoff series from Arcane.
I know next to nothing on League's lore, but this looks phenomenal. Hopefully, the fans get what they're looking for with this!
As a fan, anything is enough. I mean, it's RIOT "studios"... it's gonna be a great show. However, it's Netflix at the same time... so I am setting my expectations lower.

Probably one the best single season of any show to date. It was more like watching 3 movies or 1 6 hour long artistic masterpiece. I'll put this show up there with any cinematic masterpiece. I am so pleased to watch not only amazing storytelling, acting and writing but also art. Very few shows or movies can really be true escapism like a good book but this show damn well over-achived even in that aspect. My first viewing of it was like viewing star wars or lord of the rings not merely a TV show.

Well the show took a very long time to make. I guess you have to wait a very long time for season2 unless they cut something out

@@jervyan i think the Castlevania fps is due to the show being hand drawn frame by frame, which takes a TON more effort than 3D animation. Regardless of the low fps it still looks incredible especially the fight scenes.

I mean the choreography is absolutely fantastic, love it but, a shame it could have been perfect if not for the fps, like ATLA partly the reason we all love it is because of its fluid fight scenes. How many fps is castlevania btw.

The greatest adaptation in the history of video games. Never played the game, but man oh man was this series godly.
Don't know anything about the game, but the show looks really good. I love the animation style, the steampunk aesthetic looks great, excellent music, and the story seems like it'd be solid. In short, this is definitely on my to-watch list.

I went in with no knowledge, and I have never played LOL, and I watched all 9 episodes in one day. This is probably one of the best animated shows I have ever seen. The story, the characters and their development over only 9 episodes, the fighting scenes, the storyline, the facial expressions, and not to mention the emotional rollercoaster of one hell of a ride. Dayum, just dayum.😊
I can definitely recommend this series to people who know nothing about the game. You don't need to know anything. The series carries itself. enjoy😍😍😍 Riot Games should seriously consider looking into and creating more animated series, if this is their standard.

I mean, it's their show. I'm pretty sure they're going to continue making it however they want. You really think the creators would all of a sudden decide to change direction and produce content that they're not actually passionate about in order to please a bunch of people who don't even watch their show. This wouldn't be a logical decision, and who are these crappy media outlets that you're referring to anyway? Every media outlet that has reviewed the show essentially gave it a 10/10, and it even managed to achieve a 100% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes.

@@flori1493 the ruination was an event in league of legends and a huge part of the lore. Many were really excited but in the end, the company who makes league, ruined it in the end by screwing with the lore and people got mad.
As someone who’s never played this game, this show is genuinely incredible. Absolutely well-composed, visually gorgeous and crazily captivating. The last time I tweaked this hard over a next episode drop, was GoT. (The early ones lol).

Dude it’s worth it. It take a brief second to adjust to the animation (or it did for me), but the show is dope. No filler, good voice acting and really well thought out.
Can confirm squid-game got more positive attention than I would have given it. I think you’ll dig Arcane.

The simple politics are essential for an incredible story that focuses on complex characters, a visually beautiful world, and excitingly animated fight scenes.

Found this series pretty much by accident last night and binge watched the first 3 episodes. I’ve never played the game but I know about it. Oh dear God episode 3 wrecked me. I’m a father of 4 kids that are around the ages of these characters and I swear I could feel the emotions they were feeling the entire time. I was crying along with Powder at the end. Wow. Truly well made. I will watch this series to the end. 💪🏻❤️

I finally watched it... It was Stunning!!! Holy crap i never thought this will be THIS GOOD, I want a sequel! I need to know what happened after the ending. To Vi, Cait and especially Jinx(probably the best portrayed character in this series, i had a tons of emotions rollercoaster with jinx)

The cinematography, art style and animation, especially facial expressions are exceptional in this. 3D animation made to look like traditional 2D usually looks really obvious and doesn't work but this carries it.

They are adaptable. It is just execs keep using generic stories and get in their own way. Harry Potter could have easily been destroyed like so many others. Harry Potter was not as big back then but plenty of popular and famous stories have been destroyed despite being easily adaptable.

Such a great series. I binge-watched the two seasons.
Some of the graphics they use on that is phenomenal. I would love longer versions of the spaceship one where he wakes up to the creature, the werewolf one and a few others. Some ended decently and others need at least a film or a series. So much lore in one small story. It is like Lovecraft all over again.

This is a beautiful piece of art. Amazing storie telling, visuals, directing, voice casting, music. There's is so much love and detail in everything.
I m absolutely hooked by this serie having zero clue about it or the game before. Everything about the serie is just well put together and it actually has substance. Good characters and great history telling but not least very emotional. Bravo to the french studio. Can t wait to the next season.
Probably the most original and well animated animations I've ever seen. This looks extremely well detailed and a lot of love and craft was also placed in this gem.
