The way he emits his vocals yet avoids certain notes as if he’s vulnerable and feeling too emotional and knowingly wouldn’t be able to hit certain notes through his trembling voice. Seriously shows how much the song means to him. Heartbreak is hard to get over. His eyes were closed through most of this performance. Meaning too much emotions for him to feel and if were to open his eyes, people would see that vulnerability and sadness. Maybe even tears…
