A No-Death BBI Challenge with some adjustments. Or alternatively, showcasing just how broken the Magick Archer class really is. #DragonsDogma #ChallengeRun#OrphanRun
So, this is for the people on twitter that wanted me to follow up on my promise of uploading a gigantic Dragon's Dogma video. It's not 55 hours (that's the run im uploading weekly) but oh well. There will be a few spoilers for this run ofc: I started off as a Mage ofc, because i could safely attack enemies and not risk a death under Level 10 (i expected this run to die at some point so i was treating it a bit like a test run for the first 8 hours), and it gave me a Rusted Staff if i ever needed one. A very big part of this video is me grinding levels at the Rotunda of Dread (similar to Rubikant's off-screen grinding i suppose), and that's not mainly because i wanted more HP or something, its because it actually saves time. No matter how good the weapon's that i find in here, they still scale off my stats. If you played Warrior only (and have no Magick Attack), you could have a Sanguine Stalk and still have trouble with Gransys enemies that are on your level. And as not all Monsters can be dispatched with Magick, i needed some strength aswell. I think this speaks louder than words; 9:48:00 Also, i wanted to hit Rank 9 as fast as possible. That's why i forgo the Trophy Armor and go get the Ring of Perseverance. That is because i had little experience playing as MA. The last time i did touch this vocation was back when i played it on Xbox on release. But it wasn't because i needed more hitpoints because i was dead anyway once i get touched by an attack that didn't come from a mob. So my general strategy was this: Get to Level 10, Magick Archer, then grind Rotunda of Dread, then cheese Gazer with Throwblasts, then i did a nice little trick after Gazer that took care of my Level problems which i wont spoil, then i just farmed until i found a BBI weapon (which was the Chilling Focus), after that i could slowly crawl through BBI but i took care not to go ahead of myself because i cleared every area i passed of enemies, until i was so strong that they could be reasonably ignored. This class has mobility, strong elemental damage, automatic tracking and can equip 90% of the Armor in the game. What's the only problem? Physical damage. Every class has access to some sort of physical damage, even Sorcerers have High Bolide and Maelstrom. Mages have their Heavy attack and every other class has access to a physical weapon. The Magick Archer has to rely on high base power Daggers and Hundred Kisses. And you can never deal high physical AND Magick Damage at the same time - which leads to this; You will only ever break either the physical or magick defense breakpoint of any mobs. This means that if i want to do decent damage, i have to stack my Magick damage into absurdity. This wouldnt be a problem if i had Heavens Key or Sapfire daggers. But i didnt get those, because one is impossible and the other one very hard to get. Usually in BBI youre supposed to deal Magickal damage AND physical damage to a monster. Which is why the breakpoints on BOTH Magick and Physical damage are so high on most enemies (Gorecyclops is one of very few exceptions, which have insanely high defense and almost no Magick defense). As i only have access to one, i have to stack damage and Buff myself into OPness at every opportunity if i plan to damage something without lowering its defenses (And you dont need Sapfire daggers with their lowering defense attribute, a reeling Dragon has lower defenses than a standing one, thats what i mean). Which lead to me buffing more than a Solo Mystic Knight would. Unfortunate but not much i could do there. If i had been lucky enough to pull Sapfire Daggers or Dragon's Tempest instead of Chilling Focus (which was still a lucky 50/50!), then i could have ditched the Buffs and went for style. Maybe ill do that in the next run ;) Why did i keep a Wakestone in my inventory? Because i expected the run to end any second for most of its duration. However, instead of resetting instantly i would then, after the death, use that character to find out certain breakpoints (like what AR i need to deal damage to which enemy, how much HP and Defense i need to live a Cursed Dragon bite etc.). Well, i got extremely lucky during the second half of this run and i never died. The game crashed two times, both of which i showed my playtime and all sorts of stats afterwards. Why did i always wait two seconds before going through a door? Because FRAPS can crash otherwise. I learned so the hard way on a different run, that died because FRAPS crashed multiple times when i was running and spamming B to leave an area as fast as possible. It also crashes on the transition between the credits but i can record 99% of the cutscene so thats not as big a problem. Another big problem was curatives. The main reason i cheesed almost every enemy in the RoD was simply to save curatives, not because i was afraid to get one-shotted by Grimgoblins or a Cyclops. It does become a slight problem in the very end, and i only succeed because i was holding back on Curative use this entire run. Scary to think about it. I think one reason this did become a problem was because i grinded Levels so long (and later did something that made me gain more Levels than i maybe wanted), that i didnt get "healed" by Level ups frequently enough. To refer to Rubikant again, it seemed to happen all the time in this runs, but in retrospect that maybe was that way because he cut out any tedious grinding. Its weird how this class can dispatch Living Armors and Eliminators like they're nothing, and simple mobs with faster attacks or laughably weak Magick-resistant enemies have you running for high ground. The other side of that coin is, once your physical damage and defense becomes strong enough to deal with those, this class becomes broken. We never quite got to that point of course, but we were close. I think i did a pretty good job of showing that this class can laugh at every single enemy in BBI at Level 200. I also noticed i was rushing myself a bit in the second half, partly because i was fearing crashes, but mostly because this run ended with Daimon so if i could just kill him it was over. And i was fearing death at this point. That nearly cost me the entire run. I ended up overestimating myself and nearly died in the final fight (and on the way to it lol). What saved me was the Goldforged Boots of Shadow i got from grinding Death for an hour. If there's interest, i might try this run again in the future, with a different class or even more restrictions. For now though i need a break. Hope you enjoy this run!
Top Waifu Im sorry but I'm so confused. I played this years ago on xbox360. And I'll admit, even after beating and seeing the "cycle of the game" there was much I missed or didn't get at all. With hidden bosses and what not. So is this a dlc, mod, or knew add on. Because never in my many hours playing this have I gone to that place.
Jesus Barboza Well you unlock this new non-DLC area rather early in the game but the monster's so high leveled there that usually people wait til post-game to tackle it to have a better chance. So Bitterblack Isle is not a mod or DLC. It's available automatically on PS3, Xbox, PC, & PS4 for the Dark Arisen version. The original doesn't have it.
What you wanted us to see: A poor orphan trapped on an island full of monsters fights their way to freedom. What we saw: Psycho orphan throws her Father & his friend to their deaths then, without ceremony, travels alone to a dark island full of monsters to take her place among them.
Thanks for doing videos on this game, never would of known it exists if it weren't for your warrior run. Now I have 40 hrs in it, ready to put in 400 more.
I'm not a great commentator and i had to focus way too much to do it. Also didn't have a mic, and 80% of this run is straight farming; i spent the first half of this run in the Rotunda of Dread. But yeah, Dragon's Dogma OST is the best.
So like, what did you do after this with this character? Return to the main game and destroy the main storyline as an overpowered little kid or just stay on that island forever? Cmon man we need closure
With that, the run was ended. That screenshot that you see at the very end (and very beginning, covered up with text) is the last act i ever did with that character. After that i overwrote the save file and got back to attempting the insanity that is the Dragon's Dogma run that i finally succeded with as a Strider. Though i attempted all sorts of different classes throughout the months
Now that I found my calling as a warrior, I'm definitely going to try this challenge one day. Going to be interesting. Probably with saves/deaths though, I'm not a madman

This is so impressive! And not even a single throwblast (in the first few hours I've watched)! Just pure skill (or rather 'skills'). That girl was lucky to be born with deep knowledge of Bitterblack Isle though. By the way, how do you cast five lightnings at once? I thought it was supposed to be three? Is this some kind of a ring? I missed that part. The desperation in some of your fights almost made me believe this girl is a real character. The gargoyle fight was especially amazing. I always have a hard time defeating it, even with my pawn's help.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! Not using throwblasts wasn't even a rule, and i do think i use them later in the run, like for the Gazer. Im assuming with the lightnings you mean the "Ninefold Bolt" spell? I remember getting quite lucky with the early drops, even accounting for the 6-7 hours of grinding that i did. You need a Magick Bowman's Ring to access the secret third level of those skills. Could've also been a Mage's Ring with Grand Levin. Im sorry i cant point you to the exact time i got the Bitterblack Gear, but its been 4 years since this run and my memory is not good enough to remember when i got this ring, especially seeing as i did not immediatly purify most of the Bitterblack Gear that i obtained. The gargoyle was one of the scariest parts. I still remember, one of the closest moments in the run was it *nearly* succeeding to throw me off into a gigantic drop in the Midnight Helix. I looked for when that was, at about 10:40:27 i was about to drop a stunned Skeleton off the edge in order to focus on the Gargoyle when it swooped in and hit me off the edge. Normally this sends you flying at a low angle and very high speed. I immediatly instant reset and double jump directly afterwards [like, a few frames afterwards at most]. I rewatched, and still don't know how i survived that. Not only the fact that you couldn't damage it, but having to spend ages chipping away at a mob after you grinded for hours really hurts your confidence in the run. That desperation you talked about might have been real haha. By the way, since you seem to enjoy this kind of content, i recommend you check out the channel Rubikant! I’m really liking your video and such a interesting challenge. I saw your pinned comment about not getting the Sapfire daggers or dragons tempest bow. That’s because you picked mage for your pawn. Pawn’s vocation can influence purified items. Even if they are stuck in the rift or *cough* murdered. You probably know this, but might as well say it for anyone who sees this.

Top Waifu Magick Archer is really unbalanced in this game, I remember when people thought you had to do sorcerer 10-200, boy were they wrong bbi changed that really quick haha
Well with 2 Bloody Knuckle rings unarmed is actually effective. Not nearly as hard as it sounds. Now if you disallow use of the rings...yeah it'd probably be too boring more so than impossible or hard just for how long it would take to kill things.
I watched the video on one go (with bathroom breaks of course), brought my favorite snacks and drink and must say that it was entertaining, really awesome video. I have done this challenge 3 times (warrior, assassin and sorcerer) but not without deaths. Any chance you would do this challenge with different vocation sometime in a future ?

@@chipstastesupergood3788 most spells lock on to an enemy when they charge, for example ingle. But if you press left joystick you can aim it like an arrow

ya know, you gotta wonder; in universe is the Arisen actually considered a child or just an underdeveloped person (and no that's not meant to mean the same thing) because if it's the former, how pathetic do you think the guards must feel to see a CHILD kill something like a Cyclops or a Chimera? it'd be like if you got accepted into Harvard by the skin of your teeth and then a Middle Schooler getting accepted with flying colors
Yeah, i see your point, but the Arisen is so far beyond human (and inhuman) levels that the comparison falls flat. A Chimera is already able to tank insane amounts of physical damage, you could throw a entire city's guards at it and they would fail. A gorechimera would heal faster than a combined country's force (of today's standards) could kill it. Daimon and Death are able to one-shot a Level 200 Arisen with his best gear, who is equivalent to a god at that point. Human's don't even compare to the Arisen, and that's with RPG elements making them far stronger than they should be, like Bandits being carried by their gear.

Hey i got 2 questions Maybe it shows in the video but 18 hours a bit too much 😅 (still left the like, you did something extreme) Are you able to buy curatives? And How did you usually played? Like you usually played it safe and grinded and shit? Edit: also did you wait till you got max rank by grinding?
Haha, i just wanted to try uploading a 18 hour run. As for rules, you can find them in the first few seconds of the video if you pause. Curatives are allowed, however since Barroch only sells them in very limited fashion and you cant leave BBI or bring anything from beyond the island with you, my main way of getting Curatives is finding them naturally. I saved up on Curative use throughout the whole game and still nearly ran out in the final battle. As for how i played, you can read my pinned comment for that! Generally, i would say i played safe early-game (the first 9 hours are basically just farming RoD) and then, once i had decent equipment i started taking risks and pushing forward, which shows in the concluding fight against Daimon where i do little damage, almost die multiple times and pretty much run out of curatives before i kill him.
I'm stuck on the second form of Damion as fighter. I can get through the first stage as ranger and I don't have enough explosive arrows for second form. Any tips?
You don't have to do it now. Awakened Daimon is among the strongest things you can find on BBI. Upgrade your sword, find a new one, get better armor, get more levels, get new and better pawns, try out new skills and rings, etc. In short, just stay on Bitterblack Isle and try new things if you really want to beat it as a fighter. Just practice and play the game, and have fun. If you're solely looking for how to beat Daimon, depending on how much inherent Magick Attack you have (which is dependant on what you leveled up as, if you played Mage all the time you would have high Magick Attack and no Strength etc.), a Sorcerer/Mage can beat him by giving yourself a Holy enchantment and then doing the special core attack called Focused Bolt. Basically, while having a Holy enchantment you hold "Light Attack" for a few seconds and then let go. i'll link you a video of someone doing it: czcams.com/video/VwnXP_6oKNo/video.html That's the easiest and most consistent way of beating Daimon. But once again, you can't really go wrong with whatever you do.
I'd like to take this challenge :) But in the rules it says "No looting or running through uncleared areas"? Early in this vid I saw plenty of looting and running through areas without clearing them.
By "uncleared" i meant, new so every time i enter a new area i clean it out before i can run through it. If i didnt do this rule, i could just run past everything to Daimon instantly and this video would be 3 hours. And if i cleared out every area every time i entered it this video would probably be 50 hours or so xD Especially with the massive amount of Rotunda of Dread farming i do in the beginning. And by every enemy ofc i include bosses so i kill the Cursed Dragon and Death during two of his three appearances etc., though i make an exception for when he first appears since i dont even have a weapon at that point. So yea im pretty sure thats how i followed that rule, im not 100% anymore since its been 2 years.

I wanna try this with the hardest class, for this would you say warrior would be the toughest? I was thinking mystic knight or for that matter any red class because of how heavy everything would be, as well as you would lack mobility for the bbi gears, novelties, etc.
Mystic might actually be pretty cheesy though on second thought, but the stat gains for mystic are abysmal so it would really just be a hassle at that point...
Warrior is definitely the hardest class to do this with. The fighter has a shield and can pick up the second best shield with a Moonbeam Gem, and also gets Egression to escape one-shotting grabs.
Is it? I rewatched the video after i rendered (the 1920p AVC version) fully and everything was fine. Any major issues should be on YT's side, which to be fair wouldn't surprise me anymore
ngl, this is making me want to switch to magick archer. dammit. going to finish leveling vocation rank on assassin first, though- am at around 7 iirc? might throw myself into bbi just to get decent gear for my main pawn lol is max rank for mage recommended before magick archer?
Id say you can swap whenever you like but i would recommend playing mage or sorcerer for a bit to get more magick stat growth. if you want to know more about stat growth you can google "dragons dogma stat planner" (should be a github page, first google result) and go to the "Stat Growths" wiki page. generally speaking you can play however you want and swap at any point, but someone playing warrior for 100 levels will have a bunch of hp and no magick stat, so they cut down their potential for using classes like magick archer compared to someone playing sorcerer (with the tradeoff of being more fragile of course). its completely up to you, id recommend having a decent magicka stat at the very least so id avoid leveling as warrior/fighter a bunch if you want to "main" magick archer as they have 0 magick attack growth and like you said, maybe go mage/sorcerer for a bit to get some magicka stat growth, then you can also get the augments (Attunement/Acuity) easier late-game which helps hitting the magic damage threshhold required to damage high level BBI enemies early. Buying gear off Barroch seems cheap to me. The gold you get from selling the loot found in chests go up to 72,000+G. You would already have a full set of gear and equipment by the first collectathon... So, what's the point of the Orphan run if you're 'buying' things?
I've gotten many criticism in this spontaneous runs, but i could at least understand their point... this is the first one where i'm drawing a complete blank. Im guessing you are referring to the beginning of the run, since Barroch's non BBI-stock fills up as you progress the Main Story. So in other words since i came here immediatly he's selling me nothing but the basics, the weakest weapons you could get in Gran Soren. Later i don't even use him since he doesn't sell BBI Magick Bows and could only possibly sell me Daggers at a point in time where i would be dead and buried if i hadn't gotten some good ones already. The point of the Orphan Run (as i see it, you're free to disagree) is to survive everything this island throws at you using everything it gives you. That includes Barroch. Why you have a problem with me buying an actual set of gear instead of farming the Rotunda of Dread naked for 8 hours rather than me using him to goldforge my entire Armor for the Daimon fight is beyond me. Also, while i don't expect anyone to watch the farming, if you pause during the first second at the rules, you will notice that there aren't any "collectatons" besides the first time clear of Duskmoon Tower, which i had to use as a Advanced Vocation anyway to get the Discipline Points necessary to change Vocations at Level 10. Beyond that you don't get to run into areas to loot the first few chests and then dip. You say "first collectathon" when there aren't any, unless you consider Duskmoon Tower (without which you can't change Vocations at Level 10) one. And if you are referring to clearing out a area of Bitterblack Isle at Level 10 without running away, using Pawns or dying and then buying myself armor and weapons you can buy the first time you meet Caxton, you are free to play a harder version of the Orphan Run, where maybe you don't interact with him at all, you won't be able to upgrade your weapons past the level you find them. I just don't understand why you would call my 18-hour run pointless because i use the only Merchant and Blacksmith in the game. Edit: Just to make this clear, im perfectly fine with your criticism, i just completely disagree.
Can you even knock down second form daimon as a warrior without having to jump on him and hilt bump him? watching parts of this makes my warrior sad :(
If you mean, can you stun him, probably. It depends on multiple factors, total hp lost, certain damage taken over short amount of time, where was he hit, etc. Im guessing a Arc of Deliverance to his feet would do the trick
I sure hope theres a way, not a fan of how every melee class has to climb the beasts to knock them down. If I can baseball swing him out of the air itll be worth all the trouble getting to him.
No looting or running through uncleared areas; so basically, im not allowed to just run past every enemy to the chests that contain Bitterblack Gear, grab them and Liftstone out. If you play the game normally or do the Bitterblack Challenge, a good strat would be to do just that to get access to good gear early. But i cant do that which is why i spend half the run farming in the Rotunda of Dread. If i want Loot, i need to fight my way through the enemies that guard it. Neither am i allowed to just run past enemies in areas which i havent cleared out at least once. But once i clear an area, the restrictions are lifted. Reading it again, i didnt word that perfectly so i can see why you read it like that.
@@Lakanus yeah the way it was worded had me confused, but that makes more sense now lol. And yes! Magick Archers are so OP, I just played the vocation yesterday (before watching this video) and I killed all the dragons in BBI with ease.
Sure. It's hard to explain to someone who hasn't played, so i'll just give you the general idea. I'm entering the most difficult and late-game area in the game, Bitterblack Isle, as soon as the game lets me with no equipment or stuff from the Main land (Gransys) whatsoever. An area intended for after you beat the Main story, at which point you would be around Level 50, and do the Post-Game area (which i won't spoil for you), so an ideal level to tackle BBI would be at a starting point of Level 70. Though the island has a progression system completely seperate of the main story (which is why i can complete it without touching the Main story). So other than the fact i'm abandoning myself at this place as early as possible, i'm also doing this without dying. Another thing is, the way chests work, they have a certain drop chance of rare loot, but i'm not reloading them to manipulate loot but i'll take what the game gives me. Since i don't have access to the Main game i also can't "refresh" chests by resting over and over until they refill, but i have to let time pass naturally. I'm also not using Pawns (if you play RPG's, instead of a full party im at 1/4), so i'm completely by myself. I also can't run through areas and loot the chests, or run through them at all. The only time i will ignore enemies is when i'm strong enough that they can be reasonably ignored. To give you an idea of how underpowered i am you can see basic mobs such as 5:22:41 or 9:48:00 take AGES to kill. And that's after i spend the first 5 hours of this run in a single room (Rotunda of Dread) grinding levels. Granted, that's my physical damage but the latter enemy actually was weak to physical damage. My magic would have done even less. And you can be assured that most big enemies will one-shot me with pretty much everything they do. Even later, when i have good Bitterblack Isle equipment, some of their attacks would still one-shot me through my armor because i still lack some Levels (despite my little trick at 9:28:05 taking care of that - i make the toughest enemy in the game - the incarnation of Death itself - into falling into Water on a scripted appearance, which in this game is a insta-kill, and also use a XP-doubling item so the game treats it as if i had killed him twice. Even after the countless levels this gave me i'm still far underleveled and undergeared. I also can't change my vocation (class), but that's the least of my issues since Magick Archer is the best one. So to sum it up, i'm in a end-game level area in a RPG before i even reach Level 10, and i'm slowly working myself through this hellhole abiding by the rules you can read at the very beginning of this video, if you pause. It should be enjoyable even if you know nothing about this game. Have fun watching :) Edit: fixed some time links

That's part of the challenge. Its not half as bad as playing a small Fighter though since then some jumps are impossible to make thanks to only having one jump and short arms to grab on ledges... makes getting the first two Macabre Sculptures a nightmare f.e.
How i did it is the easiest way, because the Magick Archer is the most broken class, for more reasons than i can explain in anything short of a paragraph. Assassin has almost neglectable Defense and less mobility than the Magick Archer (No Levitate or Sunflare). Not to mention you're helpless against enemies immune to physical attacks, like Wraiths and Living Armors. The MA is the only class who can reliably kill Death Pre-Daimon, and can also equip almost anything from the Blue, Green and general equipment, while the Assassin is extremely restricted in the Red gear he can wear, yet he can still purify it. The augments he has were also nerfed in Dark Arisen. I'll stop myself now but you'll get the idea, this run is already hard if you use Magick Archer. Doing it with another class would be pretty amazing.
While i didn't check them every few seconds (maybe the 18h runtime of this vid makes it seem so), stats are very important in this game and i'm not supposed to be where i was, so maybe i was checking breakpoints for certain attacks to OHKO. I only know rough defense values (off my gut) for stuff like a Cursed Dragon bite, but the MA combined with the fact that i came here Level 1 basically, means i also had low hp despite grinding RoD for hours. But the short answer i guess is; stats are very important.
Well to be more certain, you checked your stats rapidly from 1:00h - 1:30h about 30times ^^''. But its not important i guess. And yes, thats where i like Dark Souls alot more. You can do every boss on every level, the same goes for Dragons Dogma, but in Dragons Dogma it doesnt feel like you need skill for that moreoff time wich is disappointing. That's just me and i dont know how i come to this thema. lol. Thanks for the answer anyways :3.
Oh lol. That was because i had to be very careful with my leveling to get 1000 disciple before i gain enough XP to level to Lvl 11. You can change vocations from Level 10, and it takes discipline points. The less xp you gain the more procentual discipline points you get (so if you kill a hare, you get like 50% of your XP points as discipline points, a goblin maybe 30% and a Dragon 10%). So i checked a lot in order to avoid leveling up to Level 11, because the earliest you can change from Mage to Magick Archer is level 10. And the reason i did was so i could get the Magick Archer stats for Level 11, because the Mage stats from Level 10-100 are inferior to all other classes.
50:35 , why are you looting the area before clearing the hellhounds and goblins and just rushing through the place. Don't get me wrong it's still impressive but that's basically the hardest part to get through.
The run starts once you're Level 10 and switch to Magick Archer. If you pause at 0:00 for the rules, it's made clear by the order of the listed challenges. The reason i am ignoring it is different though. If i were to kill those Warg and also all the Goblin, nevermind the Cyclops, it would be impossible for me to get the Discipline points necessary before reaching Level 11. Which would mean i would not have switched to my locked Vocation, Magick Archer, as soon as possible and my stats and level process would have been messed up. Btw, if you think this is the hardest part you're quite mistaken. The Warg can be made to fall to their death by jumping from the balcony to a stone ledge, making them fall down and take massive fall damage trying to chase you. The Goblins become ultra-passive once you kill their Leader, and i could not only use Death to do so, but run past them, pick up the Throwblast in the corridor, and then one-shot him. The rest would be 20 minutes of waiting for their charge attack and fist-kicking them. In fact, compared to the Daimon fight at the end of this run it would be trivial.
I'm still around 2nd hour so it's quite hard to say anything about the daimon fight, but alright, if challenge starts around lvl 10 it's not a problem.
There's more than one problem to starting it immediatly. First off, it would give Fighter runners a huge advantage, since they would not only have more Strength but also could probably live one Warg attack. Secondly, the video is already 18 hours long and 20 minutes of fisting Goblins after making every Warg fall off the balcony twice on top of the first half of this video being exclusively Rotunda of Dread would be too much. Striders and Fighters can also pull Throatcutters and Broadswords from chests but a Mage only has a slim chance of a staff in a chest that's virtually unreachable without a double-jump or levitate. It's on the second floor at the middle chest and while it's technically possible to make the jump, it's MUCH easier to just go Fighter or Strider and reset if you don't get a weapon. Hell, i could have gone Strider reasonably as a Magick Archer but decided to go the Mage route since i think that's the closer basic vocation to a Magick Archer. It also, like i said, prevents you from switching Vocations before you level past Level 10, which is the earliest and only point you should switch for a pure Vocation run. To give you an example, all Corrupted Magick Archer Pawns have stats as if they've leveled Mage Level 1-10 and then switched Magick Archer at Level 10. And once again, it's not even a hard thing to do. After you kill the Warg by gravity-stalling them, grab the Throwblast (which is technically from an area that doesn't have enemies) and kill the Goblin chief, then kill all Goblins. You'll be getting healed by level-ups throughout the whole thing and there are Potent Greenwarish and Kingwarish lying around everywhere, which can be picked up since they're not from a chest. That's just my two cents on it, you can modify the run however you like though ofc
While im usually very good at judging wheter or not i can survive a fall, in this case i just messed up. But that kind of stuff is exactly why i took the time and effort to get the Goldforged Boots of Shadow.

Just go further in... after that fight you unlock a second shortcut to the beginning of the island... there should be a door in the shortcut room and just go through it.

@@asnodt1912 killed it a bunch of times! The Melee pawns (Fighter/Warrior) can take physical hits very well so they act as good distraction, i would recommend them. The Mages can do a lot of damage if they succeed with attacks, but they get killed fast and also get staggered and dont often get their spells off, theyre a risk.
I thought it really going to be a " O R P H A N R U N " but it just some random psychopath wrecking havoc in a unknown island......sigh....my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.....

ems810 my very first run in this game on my xbox360 was me with a lvl 17 sorcerer getting raped in bbi bcs i thoughr its main game it took me so fucking long to beat it but after you get maelstorm most mobs will get easy af
I stunned Death because the Magick Archer is just that OP. But it didnt do much damage, however it made him fall into a killzone. Try jumping off there with your character, you won't hit the Brine, instead you die instantly. That's what happened to Death. Think of it as if i've pushed him into a bottomless pit.
And btw I dare to go into it again, as in 2nd run of this place. Without pawns, but you don't have to start from the beginning. Just use one of the characters you have now, and make sure it's a warrior. ;)
I dont know why, and you probably know this but you can adjust volume on the CZcams player if thats a problem. Its an 18 hour video in 1080p, im glad it has any sound at all tbh xD
when i as watching it i couldnt get a proper volume because moving the volume slider just a tiny fraction made it too quiet or loud oh well still entertaining :^)

So, this is for the people on twitter that wanted me to follow up on my promise of uploading a gigantic Dragon's Dogma video. It's not 55 hours (that's the run im uploading weekly) but oh well.

I'm gonna explain my general tactics here. There will be a few spoilers for this run ofc:
I started off as a Mage ofc, because i could safely attack enemies and not risk a death under Level 10 (i expected this run to die at some point so i was treating it a bit like a test run for the first 8 hours), and it gave me a Rusted Staff if i ever needed one.
A very big part of this video is me grinding levels at the Rotunda of Dread (similar to Rubikant's off-screen grinding i suppose), and that's not mainly because i wanted more HP or something, its because it actually saves time. No matter how good the weapon's that i find in here, they still scale off my stats. If you played Warrior only (and have no Magick Attack), you could have a Sanguine Stalk and still have trouble with Gransys enemies that are on your level. And as not all Monsters can be dispatched with Magick, i needed some strength aswell. I think this speaks louder than words; 9:48:00
Also, i wanted to hit Rank 9 as fast as possible. That's why i forgo the Trophy Armor and go get the Ring of Perseverance. That is because i had little experience playing as MA. The last time i did touch this vocation was back when i played it on Xbox on release. But it wasn't because i needed more hitpoints because i was dead anyway once i get touched by an attack that didn't come from a mob.
So my general strategy was this: Get to Level 10, Magick Archer, then grind Rotunda of Dread, then cheese Gazer with Throwblasts, then i did a nice little trick after Gazer that took care of my Level problems which i wont spoil, then i just farmed until i found a BBI weapon (which was the Chilling Focus), after that i could slowly crawl through BBI but i took care not to go ahead of myself because i cleared every area i passed of enemies, until i was so strong that they could be reasonably ignored. This class has mobility, strong elemental damage, automatic tracking and can equip 90% of the Armor in the game.
What's the only problem? Physical damage. Every class has access to some sort of physical damage, even Sorcerers have High Bolide and Maelstrom. Mages have their Heavy attack and every other class has access to a physical weapon. The Magick Archer has to rely on high base power Daggers and Hundred Kisses. And you can never deal high physical AND Magick Damage at the same time - which leads to this; You will only ever break either the physical or magick defense breakpoint of any mobs. This means that if i want to do decent damage, i have to stack my Magick damage into absurdity. This wouldnt be a problem if i had Heavens Key or Sapfire daggers. But i didnt get those, because one is impossible and the other one very hard to get. Usually in BBI youre supposed to deal Magickal damage AND physical damage to a monster. Which is why the breakpoints on BOTH Magick and Physical damage are so high on most enemies (Gorecyclops is one of very few exceptions, which have insanely high defense and almost no Magick defense). As i only have access to one, i have to stack damage and Buff myself into OPness at every opportunity if i plan to damage something without lowering its defenses (And you dont need Sapfire daggers with their lowering defense attribute, a reeling Dragon has lower defenses than a standing one, thats what i mean).
Which lead to me buffing more than a Solo Mystic Knight would. Unfortunate but not much i could do there. If i had been lucky enough to pull Sapfire Daggers or Dragon's Tempest instead of Chilling Focus (which was still a lucky 50/50!), then i could have ditched the Buffs and went for style. Maybe ill do that in the next run ;)
Why did i keep a Wakestone in my inventory? Because i expected the run to end any second for most of its duration. However, instead of resetting instantly i would then, after the death, use that character to find out certain breakpoints (like what AR i need to deal damage to which enemy, how much HP and Defense i need to live a Cursed Dragon bite etc.). Well, i got extremely lucky during the second half of this run and i never died. The game crashed two times, both of which i showed my playtime and all sorts of stats afterwards.
Why did i always wait two seconds before going through a door? Because FRAPS can crash otherwise. I learned so the hard way on a different run, that died because FRAPS crashed multiple times when i was running and spamming B to leave an area as fast as possible. It also crashes on the transition between the credits but i can record 99% of the cutscene so thats not as big a problem.
Another big problem was curatives. The main reason i cheesed almost every enemy in the RoD was simply to save curatives, not because i was afraid to get one-shotted by Grimgoblins or a Cyclops. It does become a slight problem in the very end, and i only succeed because i was holding back on Curative use this entire run. Scary to think about it. I think one reason this did become a problem was because i grinded Levels so long (and later did something that made me gain more Levels than i maybe wanted), that i didnt get "healed" by Level ups frequently enough. To refer to Rubikant again, it seemed to happen all the time in this runs, but in retrospect that maybe was that way because he cut out any tedious grinding.
Its weird how this class can dispatch Living Armors and Eliminators like they're nothing, and simple mobs with faster attacks or laughably weak Magick-resistant enemies have you running for high ground. The other side of that coin is, once your physical damage and defense becomes strong enough to deal with those, this class becomes broken. We never quite got to that point of course, but we were close. I think i did a pretty good job of showing that this class can laugh at every single enemy in BBI at Level 200.
I also noticed i was rushing myself a bit in the second half, partly because i was fearing crashes, but mostly because this run ended with Daimon so if i could just kill him it was over. And i was fearing death at this point. That nearly cost me the entire run. I ended up overestimating myself and nearly died in the final fight (and on the way to it lol). What saved me was the Goldforged Boots of Shadow i got from grinding Death for an hour.
If there's interest, i might try this run again in the future, with a different class or even more restrictions. For now though i need a break. Hope you enjoy this run!

Top Waifu Im sorry but I'm so confused. I played this years ago on xbox360. And I'll admit, even after beating and seeing the "cycle of the game" there was much I missed or didn't get at all. With hidden bosses and what not. So is this a dlc, mod, or knew add on. Because never in my many hours playing this have I gone to that place.
Jesus Barboza Well you unlock this new non-DLC area rather early in the game but the monster's so high leveled there that usually people wait til post-game to tackle it to have a better chance.
So Bitterblack Isle is not a mod or DLC. It's available automatically on PS3, Xbox, PC, & PS4 for the Dark Arisen version. The original doesn't have it.

I'm not a great commentator and i had to focus way too much to do it. Also didn't have a mic, and 80% of this run is straight farming; i spent the first half of this run in the Rotunda of Dread. But yeah, Dragon's Dogma OST is the best.

With that, the run was ended. That screenshot that you see at the very end (and very beginning, covered up with text) is the last act i ever did with that character.
After that i overwrote the save file and got back to attempting the insanity that is the Dragon's Dogma run that i finally succeded with as a Strider. Though i attempted all sorts of different classes throughout the months
Crazy challenge and the story that goes along with it is pretty great.

The desperation in some of your fights almost made me believe this girl is a real character. The gargoyle fight was especially amazing. I always have a hard time defeating it, even with my pawn's help.

Im assuming with the lightnings you mean the "Ninefold Bolt" spell? I remember getting quite lucky with the early drops, even accounting for the 6-7 hours of grinding that i did. You need a Magick Bowman's Ring to access the secret third level of those skills. Could've also been a Mage's Ring with Grand Levin. Im sorry i cant point you to the exact time i got the Bitterblack Gear, but its been 4 years since this run and my memory is not good enough to remember when i got this ring, especially seeing as i did not immediatly purify most of the Bitterblack Gear that i obtained.
The gargoyle was one of the scariest parts. I still remember, one of the closest moments in the run was it *nearly* succeeding to throw me off into a gigantic drop in the Midnight Helix.
I looked for when that was, at about 10:40:27 i was about to drop a stunned Skeleton off the edge in order to focus on the Gargoyle when it swooped in and hit me off the edge. Normally this sends you flying at a low angle and very high speed. I immediatly instant reset and double jump directly afterwards [like, a few frames afterwards at most]. I rewatched, and still don't know how i survived that.
Not only the fact that you couldn't damage it, but having to spend ages chipping away at a mob after you grinded for hours really hurts your confidence in the run. That desperation you talked about might have been real haha.
By the way, since you seem to enjoy this kind of content, i recommend you check out the channel Rubikant! His past runs inspired me to do runs like this one. And more than anything, its very entertaining content to watch.

I’m really liking your video and such a interesting challenge. I saw your pinned comment about not getting the Sapfire daggers or dragons tempest bow. That’s because you picked mage for your pawn. Pawn’s vocation can influence purified items. Even if they are stuck in the rift or *cough* murdered. You probably know this, but might as well say it for anyone who sees this.

Well with 2 Bloody Knuckle rings unarmed is actually effective. Not nearly as hard as it sounds. Now if you disallow use of the rings...yeah it'd probably be too boring more so than impossible or hard just for how long it would take to kill things.

I watched the video on one go (with bathroom breaks of course), brought my favorite snacks and drink and must say that it was entertaining, really awesome video. I have done this challenge 3 times (warrior, assassin and sorcerer) but not without deaths. Any chance you would do this challenge with different vocation sometime in a future ?

ya know, you gotta wonder; in universe is the Arisen actually considered a child or just an underdeveloped person (and no that's not meant to mean the same thing) because if it's the former, how pathetic do you think the guards must feel to see a CHILD kill something like a Cyclops or a Chimera? it'd be like if you got accepted into Harvard by the skin of your teeth and then a Middle Schooler getting accepted with flying colors
Yeah, i see your point, but the Arisen is so far beyond human (and inhuman) levels that the comparison falls flat. A Chimera is already able to tank insane amounts of physical damage, you could throw a entire city's guards at it and they would fail. A gorechimera would heal faster than a combined country's force (of today's standards) could kill it. Daimon and Death are able to one-shot a Level 200 Arisen with his best gear, who is equivalent to a god at that point. Human's don't even compare to the Arisen, and that's with RPG elements making them far stronger than they should be, like Bandits being carried by their gear.

Haha, i just wanted to try uploading a 18 hour run. As for rules, you can find them in the first few seconds of the video if you pause. Curatives are allowed, however since Barroch only sells them in very limited fashion and you cant leave BBI or bring anything from beyond the island with you, my main way of getting Curatives is finding them naturally. I saved up on Curative use throughout the whole game and still nearly ran out in the final battle.
As for how i played, you can read my pinned comment for that! Generally, i would say i played safe early-game (the first 9 hours are basically just farming RoD) and then, once i had decent equipment i started taking risks and pushing forward, which shows in the concluding fight against Daimon where i do little damage, almost die multiple times and pretty much run out of curatives before i kill him.
I'm stuck on the second form of Damion as fighter. I can get through the first stage as ranger and I don't have enough explosive arrows for second form. Any tips?
You don't have to do it now. Awakened Daimon is among the strongest things you can find on BBI. Upgrade your sword, find a new one, get better armor, get more levels, get new and better pawns, try out new skills and rings, etc. In short, just stay on Bitterblack Isle and try new things if you really want to beat it as a fighter. Just practice and play the game, and have fun.
If you're solely looking for how to beat Daimon, depending on how much inherent Magick Attack you have (which is dependant on what you leveled up as, if you played Mage all the time you would have high Magick Attack and no Strength etc.), a Sorcerer/Mage can beat him by giving yourself a Holy enchantment and then doing the special core attack called Focused Bolt. Basically, while having a Holy enchantment you hold "Light Attack" for a few seconds and then let go. i'll link you a video of someone doing it:

That's the easiest and most consistent way of beating Daimon. But once again, you can't really go wrong with whatever you do.

I'd like to take this challenge :) But in the rules it says "No looting or running through uncleared areas"? Early in this vid I saw plenty of looting and running through areas without clearing them.
By "uncleared" i meant, new so every time i enter a new area i clean it out before i can run through it. If i didnt do this rule, i could just run past everything to Daimon instantly and this video would be 3 hours. And if i cleared out every area every time i entered it this video would probably be 50 hours or so xD Especially with the massive amount of Rotunda of Dread farming i do in the beginning. And by every enemy ofc i include bosses so i kill the Cursed Dragon and Death during two of his three appearances etc., though i make an exception for when he first appears since i dont even have a weapon at that point. So yea im pretty sure thats how i followed that rule, im not 100% anymore since its been 2 years.

I wanna try this with the hardest class, for this would you say warrior would be the toughest? I was thinking mystic knight or for that matter any red class because of how heavy everything would be, as well as you would lack mobility for the bbi gears, novelties, etc.
Mystic might actually be pretty cheesy though on second thought, but the stat gains for mystic are abysmal so it would really just be a hassle at that point...
Warrior is definitely the hardest class to do this with. The fighter has a shield and can pick up the second best shield with a Moonbeam Gem, and also gets Egression to escape one-shotting grabs.

Id say you can swap whenever you like but i would recommend playing mage or sorcerer for a bit to get more magick stat growth. if you want to know more about stat growth you can google "dragons dogma stat planner" (should be a github page, first google result) and go to the "Stat Growths" wiki page.
generally speaking you can play however you want and swap at any point, but someone playing warrior for 100 levels will have a bunch of hp and no magick stat, so they cut down their potential for using classes like magick archer compared to someone playing sorcerer (with the tradeoff of being more fragile of course).
its completely up to you, id recommend having a decent magicka stat at the very least so id avoid leveling as warrior/fighter a bunch if you want to "main" magick archer as they have 0 magick attack growth and like you said, maybe go mage/sorcerer for a bit to get some magicka stat growth, then you can also get the augments (Attunement/Acuity) easier late-game which helps hitting the magic damage threshhold required to damage high level BBI enemies early. Buying gear off Barroch seems cheap to me. The gold you get from selling the loot found in chests go up to 72,000+G. You would already have a full set of gear and equipment by the first collectathon... So, what's the point of the Orphan run if you're 'buying' things?
I've gotten many criticism in this spontaneous runs, but i could at least understand their point... this is the first one where i'm drawing a complete blank. Im guessing you are referring to the beginning of the run, since Barroch's non BBI-stock fills up as you progress the Main Story. So in other words since i came here immediatly he's selling me nothing but the basics, the weakest weapons you could get in Gran Soren. Later i don't even use him since he doesn't sell BBI Magick Bows and could only possibly sell me Daggers at a point in time where i would be dead and buried if i hadn't gotten some good ones already.
The point of the Orphan Run (as i see it, you're free to disagree) is to survive everything this island throws at you using everything it gives you. That includes Barroch. Why you have a problem with me buying an actual set of gear instead of farming the Rotunda of Dread naked for 8 hours rather than me using him to goldforge my entire Armor for the Daimon fight is beyond me. Also, while i don't expect anyone to watch the farming, if you pause during the first second at the rules, you will notice that there aren't any "collectatons" besides the first time clear of Duskmoon Tower, which i had to use as a Advanced Vocation anyway to get the Discipline Points necessary to change Vocations at Level 10. Beyond that you don't get to run into areas to loot the first few chests and then dip. You say "first collectathon" when there aren't any, unless you consider Duskmoon Tower (without which you can't change Vocations at Level 10) one. And if you are referring to clearing out a area of Bitterblack Isle at Level 10 without running away, using Pawns or dying and then buying myself armor and weapons you can buy the first time you meet Caxton, you are free to play a harder version of the Orphan Run, where maybe you don't interact with him at all, you won't be able to upgrade your weapons past the level you find them. I just don't understand why you would call my 18-hour run pointless because i use the only Merchant and Blacksmith in the game.

If you mean, can you stun him, probably. It depends on multiple factors, total hp lost, certain damage taken over short amount of time, where was he hit, etc. Im guessing a Arc of Deliverance to his feet would do the trick
I sure hope theres a way, not a fan of how every melee class has to climb the beasts to knock them down. If I can baseball swing him out of the air itll be worth all the trouble getting to him.
Idk if I missed something but the rules stated; no looting.
No looting or running through uncleared areas; so basically, im not allowed to just run past every enemy to the chests that contain Bitterblack Gear, grab them and Liftstone out. If you play the game normally or do the Bitterblack Challenge, a good strat would be to do just that to get access to good gear early. But i cant do that which is why i spend half the run farming in the Rotunda of Dread.
If i want Loot, i need to fight my way through the enemies that guard it. Neither am i allowed to just run past enemies in areas which i havent cleared out at least once. But once i clear an area, the restrictions are lifted.

Top Waifu, will you explain what you're doing? Im a noob. I got this game and am about to start playing. What is going on here?
Sure. It's hard to explain to someone who hasn't played, so i'll just give you the general idea. I'm entering the most difficult and late-game area in the game, Bitterblack Isle, as soon as the game lets me with no equipment or stuff from the Main land (Gransys) whatsoever. An area intended for after you beat the Main story, at which point you would be around Level 50, and do the Post-Game area (which i won't spoil for you), so an ideal level to tackle BBI would be at a starting point of Level 70. Though the island has a progression system completely seperate of the main story (which is why i can complete it without touching the Main story).
So other than the fact i'm abandoning myself at this place as early as possible, i'm also doing this without dying. Another thing is, the way chests work, they have a certain drop chance of rare loot, but i'm not reloading them to manipulate loot but i'll take what the game gives me. Since i don't have access to the Main game i also can't "refresh" chests by resting over and over until they refill, but i have to let time pass naturally. I'm also not using Pawns (if you play RPG's, instead of a full party im at 1/4), so i'm completely by myself.
I also can't run through areas and loot the chests, or run through them at all. The only time i will ignore enemies is when i'm strong enough that they can be reasonably ignored.
To give you an idea of how underpowered i am you can see basic mobs such as 5:22:41 or 9:48:00 take AGES to kill. And that's after i spend the first 5 hours of this run in a single room (Rotunda of Dread) grinding levels. Granted, that's my physical damage but the latter enemy actually was weak to physical damage. My magic would have done even less. And you can be assured that most big enemies will one-shot me with pretty much everything they do. Even later, when i have good Bitterblack Isle equipment, some of their attacks would still one-shot me through my armor because i still lack some Levels (despite my little trick at 9:28:05 taking care of that - i make the toughest enemy in the game - the incarnation of Death itself - into falling into Water on a scripted appearance, which in this game is a insta-kill, and also use a XP-doubling item so the game treats it as if i had killed him twice. Even after the countless levels this gave me i'm still far underleveled and undergeared.
I also can't change my vocation (class), but that's the least of my issues since Magick Archer is the best one.
So to sum it up, i'm in a end-game level area in a RPG before i even reach Level 10, and i'm slowly working myself through this hellhole abiding by the rules you can read at the very beginning of this video, if you pause. It should be enjoyable even if you know nothing about this game. Have fun watching :)

That's part of the challenge. Its not half as bad as playing a small Fighter though since then some jumps are impossible to make thanks to only having one jump and short arms to grab on ledges... makes getting the first two Macabre Sculptures a nightmare f.e.

How i did it is the easiest way, because the Magick Archer is the most broken class, for more reasons than i can explain in anything short of a paragraph. Assassin has almost neglectable Defense and less mobility than the Magick Archer (No Levitate or Sunflare). Not to mention you're helpless against enemies immune to physical attacks, like Wraiths and Living Armors. The MA is the only class who can reliably kill Death Pre-Daimon, and can also equip almost anything from the Blue, Green and general equipment, while the Assassin is extremely restricted in the Red gear he can wear, yet he can still purify it. The augments he has were also nerfed in Dark Arisen. I'll stop myself now but you'll get the idea, this run is already hard if you use Magick Archer. Doing it with another class would be pretty amazing.

One simple question. Why do you check your stats so often? Like every 4sec you stare at them. y tho?
While i didn't check them every few seconds (maybe the 18h runtime of this vid makes it seem so), stats are very important in this game and i'm not supposed to be where i was, so maybe i was checking breakpoints for certain attacks to OHKO. I only know rough defense values (off my gut) for stuff like a Cursed Dragon bite, but the MA combined with the fact that i came here Level 1 basically, means i also had low hp despite grinding RoD for hours.
But the short answer i guess is; stats are very important.
Well to be more certain, you checked your stats rapidly from 1:00h - 1:30h about 30times ^^''. But its not important i guess. And yes, thats where i like Dark Souls alot more. You can do every boss on every level, the same goes for Dragons Dogma, but in Dragons Dogma it doesnt feel like you need skill for that moreoff time wich is disappointing. That's just me and i dont know how i come to this thema. lol. Thanks for the answer anyways :3.
Oh lol. That was because i had to be very careful with my leveling to get 1000 disciple before i gain enough XP to level to Lvl 11. You can change vocations from Level 10, and it takes discipline points. The less xp you gain the more procentual discipline points you get (so if you kill a hare, you get like 50% of your XP points as discipline points, a goblin maybe 30% and a Dragon 10%).
So i checked a lot in order to avoid leveling up to Level 11, because the earliest you can change from Mage to Magick Archer is level 10. And the reason i did was so i could get the Magick Archer stats for Level 11, because the Mage stats from Level 10-100 are inferior to all other classes.

50:35 , why are you looting the area before clearing the hellhounds and goblins and just rushing through the place. Don't get me wrong it's still impressive but that's basically the hardest part to get through.
The run starts once you're Level 10 and switch to Magick Archer. If you pause at 0:00 for the rules, it's made clear by the order of the listed challenges. The reason i am ignoring it is different though. If i were to kill those Warg and also all the Goblin, nevermind the Cyclops, it would be impossible for me to get the Discipline points necessary before reaching Level 11. Which would mean i would not have switched to my locked Vocation, Magick Archer, as soon as possible and my stats and level process would have been messed up.
Btw, if you think this is the hardest part you're quite mistaken. The Warg can be made to fall to their death by jumping from the balcony to a stone ledge, making them fall down and take massive fall damage trying to chase you. The Goblins become ultra-passive once you kill their Leader, and i could not only use Death to do so, but run past them, pick up the Throwblast in the corridor, and then one-shot him. The rest would be 20 minutes of waiting for their charge attack and fist-kicking them. In fact, compared to the Daimon fight at the end of this run it would be trivial.
I'm still around 2nd hour so it's quite hard to say anything about the daimon fight, but alright, if challenge starts around lvl 10 it's not a problem.
There's more than one problem to starting it immediatly. First off, it would give Fighter runners a huge advantage, since they would not only have more Strength but also could probably live one Warg attack. Secondly, the video is already 18 hours long and 20 minutes of fisting Goblins after making every Warg fall off the balcony twice on top of the first half of this video being exclusively Rotunda of Dread would be too much. Striders and Fighters can also pull Throatcutters and Broadswords from chests but a Mage only has a slim chance of a staff in a chest that's virtually unreachable without a double-jump or levitate. It's on the second floor at the middle chest and while it's technically possible to make the jump, it's MUCH easier to just go Fighter or Strider and reset if you don't get a weapon. Hell, i could have gone Strider reasonably as a Magick Archer but decided to go the Mage route since i think that's the closer basic vocation to a Magick Archer. It also, like i said, prevents you from switching Vocations before you level past Level 10, which is the earliest and only point you should switch for a pure Vocation run. To give you an example, all Corrupted Magick Archer Pawns have stats as if they've leveled Mage Level 1-10 and then switched Magick Archer at Level 10. And once again, it's not even a hard thing to do. After you kill the Warg by gravity-stalling them, grab the Throwblast (which is technically from an area that doesn't have enemies) and kill the Goblin chief, then kill all Goblins. You'll be getting healed by level-ups throughout the whole thing and there are Potent Greenwarish and Kingwarish lying around everywhere, which can be picked up since they're not from a chest. That's just my two cents on it, you can modify the run however you like though ofc

Just go further in... after that fight you unlock a second shortcut to the beginning of the island... there should be a door in the shortcut room and just go through it.

@@asnodt1912 killed it a bunch of times! The Melee pawns (Fighter/Warrior) can take physical hits very well so they act as good distraction, i would recommend them. The Mages can do a lot of damage if they succeed with attacks, but they get killed fast and also get staggered and dont often get their spells off, theyre a risk.

I stunned Death because the Magick Archer is just that OP. But it didnt do much damage, however it made him fall into a killzone. Try jumping off there with your character, you won't hit the Brine, instead you die instantly. That's what happened to Death. Think of it as if i've pushed him into a bottomless pit.

And btw I dare to go into it again, as in 2nd run of this place. Without pawns, but you don't have to start from the beginning. Just use one of the characters you have now, and make sure it's a warrior. ;)
