powerfully said. That's what i believe. Women will low self esteem are the ones who show off their ring, have 10 bridal showers, post everything about their love life etc. Iv seen it time and time again. The goal isnt marriage but a Godly home built on the foundation of Christ and Marrying a God-fearing person that cares for your life, wellbeing and will help you fulfill God's purpose for your Life.

I’m also a PK got married at 21. I went though similar situation. After lobola my life was hell. He was beating me up. I was cheated on on top of the abuse. I Was so naive and always apologising. A year later I couldn’t pretend anymore, cos People thought we were happy. We got divorced. I could say a lot but I’m happy to see you speak out. So I’m not the only one who went through such cos I’d always ask God why me. I lived for God. But Acts 8:28 I’m not bold enough to speak of my scars publicly till today but I thank God I’m alive and healing. .. I’m so proud of you sis!

You could even go to Paris, but if you go with the wrong person, you will not enjoy anything. Exactly what happened to me and I can tell you that the most difficult prayer is asking God to let his will prevail, i felt peace beyond human understanding as the judge dissolved my marriage. I heard his voice that still small voice in the midst of my trail he said " I will give you what you NEED not WANT. I am happily married to a man who shows me nothing but love, I never knew such love existed indeed am a living testimony of God's love and faithfulness

The problem is when after the wedding, days, weeks, and months go by and the husband doesn't consummate the marriage. My first thoughts would be: Is not a Christian at all; lied about being a virgin, and feel guilty about past sexual sin(that kind of thing does happen); has a STD; has performance issues(hydraulics are shot on that elevator); hates women; resents wife because he was pressured into marrying her; is gay.

This just hit home. Travelling for hours and not being in talking terms. it really touched a nerve. Laughing out loud with everyone but when talking to me he gets soo cold.... and " if he didn't leave me, maybe i couldn't have left" same Rwabish I've been through but i'm glad i'm in a better space now

That moment when you pray and fast for what God wants to take you out of. God was always with you and He'll continue being with you
This is so powerful... One thing i have also realized is that sometimes prayer and fasting doesn't make some situations to go away but they just give you the strength to pass true some difficult situation and to accept the situations. Just like God did with the son of David, he prayed and fasted to God that his son may live and not Die but God's will in that situation was for the son to die, and that prayer and fasting made him to accept the situation.
When people in church ask you when are you getting married and another question is when are you having your first baby Tell them to mind their own business 1Thess 4:11. I was engaged to a Man like that too... He literally worshipped the ground I walked on... but He suddenly switched up on me couple of months before our wedding, and at the time I didn’t know why... Later on, I found out that He wanted to marry me bcz of my Inheritance... He was 10 years my senior and had a stable job, so it was hard for me to ever imagine that he was a Con Man... When he realized I didn’t want my parents to sponsor our Wedding, I wanted a Prenup, and I expected Him to provide for me and the kids we were gonna have just like my father did for us, He became very mean to me and ghosted 5 months ago and I never heard from Him ever since... At least I got closure cuz his cousin told me everything 😅

Thank you for this beautiful story. There are so many lessons to learn here:
1) The pressures we put on ourselves for being Christians. We want to be perfect. The perfect wife, the perfect friend, the perfect daughter.
2) Caring too much about the "what will people say syndrome". It doesn't matter, they will talk anyway.
3) Not loving ourselves enough to put our needs first.
4) The pressures the society puts on us for wanting to be married at a certain age, have children at a certain age, be promoted at a certain age, be perfect. No one is perfect. Your own race, your own lane, your one pace. Everything happens at the time God has set.
I am glad God pulled you out of this. I believe many will learn from your experience. God bless.

I can relate with you in so many ways. Being a Christian as well when God revealed all the reasons why it would not work we blame the devil. But when I look back all the signs were there. However, because he is a faithful God he will never leave us nor forsake us. Hence the reason he gave you strength to carry the cross. Because you are a Christian God wants what's best for you. This guy did not deserve you and it looks like he did not see the light in you because he is the one who was demon possessed. You were praying for miracles the miracles were there in your story but not the miracles you expected. But one day when you look back that's when you will wonder how on earth did I go through such an ordeal.
There is light at the end of a tunnel. God will give you someone who deserves an angel like you. I got married second time at the age of 42, my first child at 43. My current husband is a God fearing man and I can't believe my life. I am living a dream marriage. God will wipe your tears one day.
