Randy Brecker! wow! and also Emmet Cohen exhibits understated mastery.. at 5:15 it almost sounds Cohen plays phrase from "Chatenooga Choo-Choo"
You guys are all incredible but RANDY!!!! THAT WAS AMAZING! Dig the flat cap also.
Beautiful music!
This is what audiophiles pursue ... like the band is right there live !
Masterful playing and a performance bordering on caricature - but pulls up short to loving nostalgia. Randy!
The look Emmet gave @ 1:28...I Totally Agree!!!. Just loved it, Thanks
No way without you all!
Damn... What a beautiful thing! :)
Just great
Great bass solo Yasushi
Randy's playing here reminds me of Al Hirt.
I'd rent a spare room in his house in a heartbeat...
Old school is good school
🔥🔥🔥🤩
Randy's trumpet struck a chord in me.
Clifford Brown he aint.
@@UkuleleAversion No. A stupid remark I made. I apologize. One should always leave remarks overnight and read them in the morning before posting. I think Clifford Brown just played this tune in a way that seemed final for it for me on trumpet. Economical, not overplayed..just freaking sensitive and brilliant in every way.
@@nickboretz1774 I appreciate your humility. Also I get where you’re coming from. There are certain standards that feel inseparable from certain musicians.
@@UkuleleAversion Cruel remarks such as mine should be put aside when one makes them and read the next day before posting them. They would probably never get posted. I am biased. All musician work their asses off towards being able to express what they want. Have to respect that. Red Rodney wasn't Clifford Brown either. But he was Red Rodney and he was great and I love him, Sam Noto and others as well.
Becker is too sentimental for us
Emmet never ceases to surprise me with the depth of historical knowledge in his playing. You all are a treat to my ears!
