A voz da Anette fez a banda ganhar premiações de grande patamar. Embora haja até hoje críticas contra ela, não há dúvidas de que a banda teve excelentes fases na atuação com a Anette. Ela merece o mesmo patamar da Tarja e da Floor, embora de estilos diferentes entre si.
Conheci a banda com a Tarja, mas desde que vi a Anette ela se tornou a minha vocalista preferida da banda, quem fala que os fãs antigos não gosta dela e fica só babando ovo da Tarja tá errado.
Nunca haverá outros albuns do Nightwish que vencerão Dark Passion Play e Imaginaerum. Os números não mentem. Além disso, o jeito de menina dela com voz de adolescente e dançando por todo o palco conquistou muitos, inclusive os que a odiavam quando iniciou sua primeira apresentação como vocalista oficial da banda.

I just didn't think this song fits Annette in a live setting. She seems to stay away from the risky notes by going lower with a run. I think her best vocals were on Meadows of Heaven.

Eu super respeito a Anette e a Era dela, mas nenhuma se igualará a Tarja Turunen! Nightwish com a Tarja era essência, era uma banda própria e inspiração pra outras bandas do gênero como foi com Visions Of Atlantis, Epica, After Forever, etc

Anette é um anjinho mesmo, mas ela tira toda a vibe que a Tarja e o vocal lírico dela traziam pro grupo, vibe essa que a Flor tenta recuperar hoje, tanto que a Anette não faz os vocais inicias e a Flor já faz.

Acho que vc não conhece a banda na essência, mas vou te explicar: tanto em álbuns, quanto no ao vivo, quem se aproximou foi Floor. Anette nunca superou Tarja, sempre conviveu com rejeição dos fãs antigos. Nunca passou e nem se igualou. Menos, bem menos.

Wait! I like what Anette did here vocally! Hearing those phrasings sung in such a low key and not extending the notes just makes it a different song to me. Bless her heart for all she contributed to Nightwish, and for getting them thru such a heavy transition. I have nothing negative to say about Anette.
I enjoyed Anette's time with nightwish. I was upset at first when she was no longer in nightwish but I enjoy having Floor as their current lead singer.

@J. Cruz Right. I agree offical videos are being touched. Audio quality of phone recorded videos even today are poor. Video is great, but audio sucks. It's a lottery win if you find one with good audio quality.
Only a matter of time when some Floor fanboi makes a video comparing this fan recorded video to the Official live in Wacken with post produced perfect audio.
@J. Cruz I didn't say post production would make a bad singer good. But NW has recorded their gigs via soundboard, where you get microphones from every band member. Its quality is hugely better than recoding with even professional camera or TV camera or any single on stage microphone. Like you don't get the sound quality of Floor's Tampere or Wacken concerts in any earlier Nightwish concerts that I've seen. They have ridiculously good audio quality.

NOT EVEN CLOSE. Anette is a reasonable singer for a high school band, or a jazzy bar. No more and no less. For this song she absolutely lacks all quality and ability.

Wow! The audience participation blew me away! I got to keep watching this, but this could become my favourite performance of the poet and the pendulum. And I absolutely love floors version.
5:05. Floor usually sings that part using a high-pitched head voice. I think I prefer this way, I felt the emotions so much more at this part, instead of just awe at the beauty of the voice like I do with floor. I don't usually feel that much emotion with floor, somewhat, But mostly at the end of her version . The emotion I feel otherwise is from the aura and tone of the music. But,Here I'm feeling it more, earlier in the song. And it's because of anette's vocal choices.
Anette is not perfect but her vocals are all emotion. She is amazing in giving the songs this candour and motherly feeling. It is a shame she was so mistreated by fans and band and in the end prepared the path for Floor to have it easy.

O Toumas é um p*ta músico e poeta, mas que ele andou fazendo umas cagadas e perdendo a mão isso foi. A Anette entrou num momento errado, os fãs da época e até mesmo muitos timbres ela não conseguia alcançar nas músicas antigas. Podemos dizer que NW foi uma coisa com Tarja e se tornou uma banda bem diferente lá daquela essência de Oceanborn, Centrury Child que começa a caminhar para o que está atualmente. Talvez se a Floor já tivesse entrado naquela época não teria sido tão complicado, ou então se fosse real aquele boato que a Vibeke Stene que já tinha saído do Tristania, substituiria a Tarja (isso era e talvez ainda seja o sonho de muitos fãs, pq depois de uma Tarja, somente uma Vibeke, Lori, ou Simone. Apesar da Floor ter se encaixado bem e ter combinado com a banda de maneira mais harmoniosa e com maior extensão vocal.
@@danielxavier7291 O Imaginaerum ficou bom, mas no que o Tuomas incrementou The Poet e Meadows Of Heaven, nas outras faixas deu uma encurtada, com tons que dava uma certa força pra Anette, sem falar que o álbum foi masterizado em 13 estúdios diferentes, aí ficou bem profissa. Eu curto a Anette e gosto do vocal dela, mas ele tinha que estar num outro grupo, algo do tipo Within Temptation (que tem uma excelente vocalista tbm).

Embora a Floor seja a melhor das três pra mim, eu fico mal pela Anette. Aqui no Brasil teve um pessoal que agrediu ela fisicamente por causa da Tarja, e dá pra ver que ela não tá bem no palco por isso :/ fora isso, ela canta de uma forma incrível e quanto a plateia, nem se fala.

Kevin Blank sim. Ela deu uma entrevista e falou que o pior país de todos foi o Brasil, disse que puxaram o cabelo dela no show e quando eles passaram pra dar um oi pros fãs, que ela machucou bastante também.

I am of two minds about this. While I prefer to watch a clean produced video, I also I understand that people want to preserve their memories of the concert. I also understand people wanting to share their memories with others.
While I'd rather enjoy the concert than record it with a smartphone, I'm glad someone with a good device does that and share with everybody.

I love the live version of this song from Sydney and listen to it frequently as I feel it's the best live version of it on CZcams with Annette. I only came across this version because that one and got to admit, I love hearing the crowd singing along.
