#17 KT Narrative Campaign Clamor Noctis - Episode 01: Red As The Snow - Kill Team Battle Report W40K

- Hesperia. A Warden Planet of the Octarius Sector, part of the Cordon Impenetra. A world controlled by humanity and under attack by a substantial force of the Orks. A world where the hopes of many are at stake. It all begins with an Inquisitor on a mission, in need of delivering an important document to the governor of the planet. His aircraft is shot down by a group of Orks. Shortly before ejecting from the plane, the Inquisitor sends a final unencrypted communication, containing the coordinates of his position and the request for the immediate activation of a recovery team, since that document cannot fall into the wrong hands. Landed in an area under the control of the Orks, the Inquisitor decides to hide the document and escape, trying to break out from the encirclement of the greenskins, so as to maximize the chances of getting the information to the empire. Intercepted the communication, Orks and Imperials send Kill Teams in an attempt to recover the document before any other.
Welcome to the first episode of our first narrative campaign! Orks and Krieg face off in a wonderful Christmas-themed battlefield for control of an important document. Who will be able to recover it?
If you want to participate in the campaign with us, you have the opportunity to do so! There will be several polls in the Community section of the channel and if you follow the video to the end you will have the opportunity to propose a name for the winning Kill Team! Always keep an eye on the Community section and help us carry the story forward!

I think Kriegers could be called "White Death", fitting to their color, skill in this battle to eliminate (almost) every single ork and in some extremely old holotape it is described as name, once belonging to a legendary warrior from Holly Terra!

Really good video, more please :D two minor points - The krieg free dash in deployment happens in strategy phase and the confidant is 4+ to hit with bolters normally, the 3+ was a misprint and erratad.

Regarding the free dash of the Kriegs, I'm pretty sure that it has to be done during the activation of the operatives in the firefight phase, because if you see for example the Ploy "SSSSHHHH!" that Andrea used for the Orks at the same time, that Ploy specifies that the dash must be done "Immidiately". While the Ploy of the Kriegs does not specify it.
@@TabletopWarbands I thought the same when I started however, the rules state that unless specified otherwise all strategic plot effects happen immediately (page 58).
For comparison, see chaos demon "quicksilver swiftness" ploy which specifies during operatives activations.

Also the vet guard sergeant plasma pistol was erratad to hit on 3+ on both profiles and some changes made to the kommandos (breachaboy special rules in particular)
I have read the ploy of the Chaos Daemons and in fact it is specified there. I think you may be right.

found your channel by accident. not really a fan of 40k, more of a fantasy guy myself, and i definitely not a table top player. so all in all, I'm somewhere between "i have no idea what's happening" and "ok now we are throwing 20 dice now" (i was watching a Tyranid video before this). Yet, despite all this, this is the third video i have watched today. the commentary, the humor, and the genuine feeling of having fun are making your videos into something special. keep up the good work

Just for information to help you understand, we play 2 games in the channel. Kill Team and W40k. Same type of game but different dynamics. ^^

I'm almost a complete noob, i'm a big Total War fan and got a bit into Warhammer fantasy through Total War Warhammer 1+2, seen a couple of tabletop videos out of curiosity but nothing substantial. I had absolutely no problem following the video, your editing (rounds, overlays with explanations) and production value in general is top notch, especially for a small channel.
Also, can't beat that accent, it's great :D

@@zaizvp90 We were totally into the old Warhammer Fantasy, then we stopped following it when Age of Sigmar came along and moved on to the W40K. We're super curious what the new Warhammer Old World will look like. If it convinces us we will also cover that in the videos!

About the ploy Into the Breach, we were wrong, the dash must be done as soon as ploy is used. So you probably use it the right way. ;)
Hmm...yes, I suppose you're right! When I first reread it I compared it to the Kommando's Shhh! which uses the word "immediately" in the same situation.
However, since Into the Breach doesn't specify "until the end of the Turning Point" I can keep using my dashing veterans during the Strategic Phase!

Great video, you guys always make amazing KT videos. But may I suggest, please do more 500pts matches! Personally as a 40K player I enjoy seeing 40K even if it is a small game, rather than learning new rules for KT.

Not sure I can follow the move at 18:37. Why can't the ork attack back in melee ?
Cause he was dead. When a model drops to 0 wounds it dies and the rest of the hits are lost.
where do we find what happened to Arthur? And when are the Death korp of krieg coming back again?
