      Thanks, buddy! It definitely rips through the branches. I'm looking forward to making more videos of this chipper in action. Have a great new year as well, my friend!

    I have been watching chipper videos, mainly PTO driven for a few weeks as I was thinking it could be useful but have decided it just a waste of time, at least for my farm. For the time you spent chipping a few branches you could have moved the entire pile with your tractor into the woods. I could see if you have minimal land and no where to dispose of the branches it could be useful. For me I just push them into a pile with my backhoe. Its also one less thing to maintain. The pile of brush gives the critters somewhere to go, lol.

      I agree. Chipping is not for everyone. For me, it's very beneficial as I compost my wood chips with my goat and chicken manure. I also want to keep the critters away so it doesn't attract the bigger critters as in foxes and coyotes. It definitely depends on the time you have and if the chips would be useful. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    Great! No obnoxious music. Are you reading this MechMaxx? We want to hear the machine, if and how it bogs down under load. We want to see the finished product -- this is an excellent chip size. As this channel just demonstrated, you have nothing to hide. So thanks for posting CHF! This is EXACTLY what I needed to see. Hopefully your coupon code still works when the company's inventory gets restocked. It ought to as your video is better than anything they have posted.
    Quick question: is this Model #GS1500. The paint schemes are randomized and while I could care less about the same, I only ask because the website is showing yellow for this model, the only 5" drum type chipper. Thanks!

      A 01:34 I see the model # on the shipping crate, GS1500

      I believe the GS1500 model has been discontinued, but it appears the one in yellow is very similar. I know the model I have kept selling out fast. I've been very happy with the product and have found the MechMaxx company to be a great company to work with. I apologize for the delay in this response. I hope this helps you out. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    I wonder how the MechMaxx brand is related to WoodMaxx. This chipper looks almost identical to the WoodMaxx DC1260

    Good video. I haven't seen any other videos on MechMaxx reviews, except company produced ones. I have been seriously looking at the MechMaxx line. Is the chipper still working ok for you? Have you been satisfied with the Rato engine? Any major issues encountered with the unit? We live on a mountainous WV property and have a crap ton of debris that needs to be consistently dealt with. Any further info would be appreciated. Thx!

      I absolutely love this chipper. It does everything I need it to do. The biggest downfall is the shipping time. But if you're not in a huge hurry for it, the lower price is worth it to me. It's the same as the big-name companies for a fraction of the price. Best of luck with your purchase. I think you'll be happy with MechMaxx. I bought one of their sawmills. I've been busy with work, so I'm still assembling it, but it looks just like the Woodland Mills version.

    Hello! I was wondering how easy this thing is to move by hand? Would you be able to roll this on a utility trailer and off again by yourself? thanks!

    • @clashavenfarms6714
      @clashavenfarms6714  Před 6 měsíci

      I think you could, but I would definitely park the trailer downhill if possible when loading.

    I'm looking at the 6" 15hp one, is that what you're using in the video? If so, have you put a 6" branch through it, and how well did it handle it, if so?

    • @clashavenfarms6714
      @clashavenfarms6714  Před 6 měsíci +2

      I'm using the 5 inch 15hp chipper. I've been very impressed with this chipper. I haven't run anything 6 inch but it's done 5 inch green branches with no problem. If you do make a purchase we have a 5% discount code. Use Andrew 5% OFF in the discount code location at check out. I think you'll be happy with your purchase. Thanks for watching!

      @clashavenfarms6714 thanks for the response, I'll definitely use the code. We've got 66 acres in the Appalachian mountains, and there are quite a few downed trees, this will definitely come in handy for the clean up.

      A Rato engine. The actual name of the manufacturer is Chongqing Rato Technology Co.

    Are you kidding me? That thing practically dies with just a small branch

    • @clashavenfarms6714
      @clashavenfarms6714  Před 4 měsíci

      I haven't had an issue with it, and I've run a lot of branches through it. I've been very happy with this purchase.
