So have I.
I am shocked that this is news to people!
Exactly correct! The ONLY thing these corporations understand is a financial hit. I bailed on my WaPo subscription for the same reason. Now I ONLY support independant media, and there are lots of reliable platforms out there.
In the NTY's defense - in its print edition - it is useful for lining the bottom of your hamster's cage. Just saying.
"I have unsubscribed from 'no, thank you'!"
Thanks intercept for confirming what we already knew. Just insanity
I am shocked of the level of hypnotisation enforced on the US population. They should thank the Palastinians for showing the invidible chains on their brains.

Let’s not forget Robbie pushed the beheaded babies narrative
Just because one story was embellished and run with doesn't change that alot of babies were killed, in various horrific ways, including in ovens. The beheaded babies thing was a sensational straw man that both sides ran with, ignoring the more credible stories..

Very good point. The progress that's painstakingly happening for Palestinian human rights would not be possible without the support of our journalists, healthcare workers, and Jewish brothers and sisters.
Great points! Max Blumenthal, Jon Elmer, Madia Benjamin and countless others. I grew up on Hassan Sarir Casablanca and never asked or felt zero degree of racism or inferiority with neighbors or friends Jews even when they decided to leave my streets because of Zionists corruption of thousands of dollars to move to occupie Palestine. NYT has the resources and technology to know what is happening, both in Gaza and the West Bank, but has avoided denouncing the genocide. Independent journalists should investigate who runs that newspaper and what interests they have.
Doesn’t take an investigative journalist to do that.
A simple googling will expose the family that has owned most of NYT’s shares for over 6 decades and their ethnicity.
Their agenda is pretty clearly laid out when listening here to how their columnists manipulate descriptions of incidents to push biases.

Thank you Intercept for reporting on The Grayzone.
He still phrased it as if the Intercept covered it first and Grayzone / Mondoweiss / Electric Intifada got to it later.

I agree that Bri seems to have a double standard here, but let's not pretend that Robby did a good job here. My point is just to say that they make a good team calling each other out when they lack judgment.
That’s not how censorship works.
Thanks, jeremy for finally giving credit where due on the debunking of the New York Times story. Seeing the way that The Intercept has behaved around this story has been extremely disappointing for a person who has supported you guys financially since your founding. You have it backward. Palestine is literally the result of Roman colonial occupation.
The Jewish people have been on that land since 1300 B.C. and have been known as Israelites since at least 1200 B.C.
The area was called Judea.
In 132 A.D., Roman colonial occupiers renamed Judea to Syria-Palaestina in retribution against the Jews for a revolt against their occupiers.

I’ve just unsubscribed to NYT
The problem in journalism today is too many people are writing from the perspective of their viewpoint-- or what their financial supporters want to be said. The NYT was definitely out of line with this, but Jeremy Scahill from the intercept and many more are also wrong. But then again, the directors can make the rules for how their company will be run.
It would be best to just report the facts, then say your opinion if you want. The situation in the Middle East is very complex, and it doesn't need a bunch of progressives or far right people muddying it up even more. I had hopes that Rising would bring a conscientious discussion, but Brie's constant mishandling of the truth (to be kind to her) has prevented some honest conversations. When you mislead with things and call them facts, the people on the other side respond with the same in the other direction. The result is so many who have no clue about reality.
So good The Intercept and the Hill!
So this guest is saying that the New York Times is specifically, just for Palestinian side stories, deliberately using the passive voice
so that the perpetrator of an action doesn’t have to be identified.
“ a woman was shot today” is it typical sentence in a news article.
Who shot her?
You don’t know until a few inches down in the story because the sentence used the passive voice.
The subject of the sentence, the shooter, can easily be omitted when you structure sentence in the passive voice.
So again, is this guest saying that the New York Times, only to protect Israel, has suddenly begun using the passive voice?
Has he never read a newspaper before?
This is why I haven't watched MSM in many years
Every accusation is a confession. Free Palestine.
Wow! Who still reads newspapers???
They have blocked my comments when I referred to Genocide Joe so this doesn't surprise me.

The Chairman of the NYT is Arthur G. Sulzberger. His father, grandfather, great-grandfather and great-great grandfather also owned the paper as far back as 1899.
Can you please share the revered and noble icons of journalism behind and guiding these fine traditions at the eminent NY Times?
Who is more credible NY Times, Newsmax, or NY Post?
Nyt is so compromised.
Such behavior is exactly why no one trusts media/government. And even in what was once an independent space, we see the leash that has finally been placed on the internet.Itself.
