Hi. It was lovely watching you fish for your kelpie. I've got five Kelpie at the moment. In terms of the colors. I know the answer for the basic rod. I know this because on saturday I decided to use a common rod and I did not hit any of the pale blue rings at all. I waited for either yellow or pink or anything else but pale blue. At at the end of it, I did not get a very good looking Kelpie so I had to sell it. So with the plain rods, I don't think the colors affect the chances of getting a better Kelpie too much. I haven't tested the berry rod or golden apple rod yet so I'm not sure if things would be different for those.
