I have never seen one of these new ventures. I am on my third venture right now, The 1300 cc V4 engine in all of my ventures so far. When I first heard that these V twin ventures were the latest venture, I went directly to the closest dealer, where I actually worked for years as a salesman for the previous owner who was a friend of mine. I asked to see the new model. They told me that I had to put a deposit down before they would order it. So I kept waiting and checking to see if they would get one in for someone that ordered one. That never happened. I ended up buying a GL 1800 Goldwing instead, which although the Goldwing was perfect as all gold wings are, I just never bonded with that Goldwing. I just didn’t like it after having to Venture’s before I bought the gold wing. I ended up selling the Goldwing, and no dealers had any of the new ventures yet as of 2021 when I sold the Goldwing after trying to get used to it after two years. I ended up buying an older venture with very very low miles from the original owner, which I still on right now here in February 2023.
I still have never seen the new V twin Yamaha venture out on the road even read any bike nights or on the highway..
I see them advertised for sale used on eBay from time to time, but I still have never laid eyes on one..
I hope suzuki re-introduces there a big ultra luxury touring machine that I have been hearing about for years now. The one that has two different engine sizes. A midsize engine with a supercharger, and a large displacement engine that could be a V6 with air-conditioning, and it’s supposedly has some type of paint that you can change the color by pushing a button. I have been hearing about this machine since before the virus from China struck the world. I hope suzuki releases that machine maybe later this year? Maybe they won’t introduce it at all because of the European emissions standard which has caused Honda to drop 10 of its models from the lineup in the future including the Goldwing. We will see

I have owned a TC model of this for 4 years now and love it. Best bike I have ever ridden and I tried them all, not the fastest or lightest just a good bike that gets down the road in comfort and it will flat get down in sport mode. Rides cooler than my Goldwing does. When you try one out, try shifting at 2500 RPMS and it's very smooth and it stops very well.

Love the looks of the new venture
But as the owner of first and second generation ventures with the V 4 water cooled engine that made the ventures very distinctive ! I think they made a mistake by going with that V twin air cooled engine !
So much that I understand they no longer offer that bike because of lack of sales !
Imagine if Honda took their Goldwing and put a V twin air cooled engine in it
I think that would be the end of the Goldwing
They should’ve stuck with the V4 water cooled drive shaft and made that engine larger and more powerful !

I rode a second gen for 10 years and currently own the latest Venture too. I loved my RSV, but it is as different as night and day compared to the new one. Each bike has its pros and cons. The V4 loved the revs and is a quicker bike off the line and getting up to highway speeds, but it’s top heavy as hell and slow speed handling two up was way more challenging. Panic braking on the RSV was an adventure too with no ABS. The new Venture has low end torque for days and handles much better overall and at walking speeds. Superbly balanced, the weight distribution makes it hard to believe you’re riding a 960+ pound bike as it handles like a bike half its weight. You need to short shift it to get the most power from it. Once you get used to shifting it correctly to get to the power you’ll find that it moves along quite nicely. No need to ever drop a gear to pass at highway speeds like the RSV. Overall, I give the edge to the new bike based upon the technology advances like heated seats and grip, navigation, storage, ABS, and comfort. Just a fantastic bike. One of my saddest days was the last ride on my RSV taking it to the dealership for the trade in.

I agree but I own this model and 22000 miles later still love. It get realy hot with a cross wind below 60 but anything else is good. The only thing I might upgrade is the sound systym still riding stock seat and handlebars.

I love my 2018 SVTC. I've owned a bunch of baggers including Harleys and this bike topes them all. My only complaints are the cheesy trims like the trunk liner, and the infotainment system, which sometimes has a mind of it's own. But for long distance touring, you can't beat this bike. If your in the market and you want one, better get it quick 'cuz mama Yama killed production after only four years. Reason? Marketing. They made a great machine but tried to cater to die-hard v-twin loyalists. It didn't work. Talked with a Yamaha factory rep at Vintage Fest last year, he said they had warehouses full of unsold Ventures until they announced the end of production. Two months later the warehouses were empty.
