    you don’t need to upgrade. What you do is you buy a Ruger LCR in 357 magnum and you take that to the range and shoot about three cylinders worth a full pressure 357 magnum. Then when you go back to your snappy, micro compact, you won’t complain. 😉
    I’m actually not trolling. when you learn to deal with a snubby revolver shooting full pressure 357 magnum your reference point for recoil is completely different.

    Most if the people that dislike the Hellcat just hate it due to it being a Springfield. A lot of the people that hate on it and call it snappy have heard that online and never even shot one themselves. A few years ago before Hellcat came out people used to shame the hell out of the XD and XDm lines of firearms even though they’re great shooting guns. Were they the best?? No, but they weren’t near as bad as they were made out to be. Again most of the people that hated on the XD line, never actually shot one. The Hellcat and then the Echelon coming out and being great really improved Springfields name in the industry.

I love the design of the hellcat, so I’m going to stick with it, as it is a nearly perfect combination of trade-offs. The grip, capacity can be expended like a Lego set, pick your Lego grip for the day, 11 pinky extension, 13 round or 15 round, all while seamlessly, extending the grip of the gun with no hotspot and it feels like you have a larger gun Grip wise. The textures almost perfect.

Honestly I think the Sig had the best Trigger, the Hellcat pro had the best ergos, and the Ruger had the best overall fit and finish for the price point. I would love a Hellcat pro but with the 365 trigger. That would be amazing. I would buy the Max 9 and Hellcat but the Max 9 CA compliant is too damn safe so I wouldnt ever carry it, thus defeating the point of buying it. Still a better trigger than my gen 3 glocks though.

    It looks like the microcompact meme is already losing steam.
    Every company that makes a micro9 is coming out with increasingly large versions of them with extended grips, longer barrels, and of course the optics cut. Now slide porting seems to be the new fad.
    When your "maximum concealment" gun has a compact size grip and barrel, and an optic, the only thing you've got ahead of an actual compact is half an inch of thickness, which does matter in concealment but also makes the gun less shootable. That's what the choice has boiled down to.
    I think maybe people were too quick to jump on industry bandwagons because 5 years on we're just back to the subcompact/compact again.

    If that's a comp then what is a port?

    • @johnlacasse8893
      @johnlacasse8893 Před 18 dny

      The comp is a single larger port, basically. Most comps are threaded onto the barrel vs cut into it. SIG X-macro has the comp built into the slide at the end of the barrel, kind of proving that the comp doesn't necessarily need to be a part of the barrel.
      Porting has been around for a very long time... I'm 54 and remember my dad and his friends talking about the benefits of ported barrels back in the 1970's. Typically ports are small vent holes "drilled" into the end of the barrel, or barrel and slide assembly on semi auto's. Both comps and ports vent gases up to reduce muzzle rise and redirect felt recoil, to some extent.
      In my humble opinion, neither is truly superior to the other and both nave some risks for EDC, in that they potentially allow foreign debris to enter your slide and cause problems... Not a big risk, very small chance, but for my personal view, carrying is about reducing risks, avoiding potential problems, etc.
      My view starts with winning... I win every conflict I avoid. If I have to fight, I don't telegraph, I don't threaten, I don't display... If my EDC comes out, it is for use, we've gone beyond talking it through, and reached a point that one of us is going to not walk away... Which means I probably tried and was attacked or threatened with attack, physically. And at my age, in my health, grappling isn't an option anymore.

    I live in houston, I had every one of them on the table.. every one of them and the only thing that mattered was the trigger pull, I went with the Gx4... I got a 10-round flush, got a 13 round sticks out a little bit and I run a 15 round mag and using a mag grip extension from bloody Wheels... The gx4 was the best trigger bar none... And if I want something bigger I'll use my G19c from Taran Tactical..... Quit playing with all those guns. get one and be done

      2 or 3 years ago my family began boycotting all companies that are pushing trans rainbow stuff down our throats (Disney, Target, Levi's, Budweiser, etc) and now that Israel is committing a genocide in Palestine / Gaza we added all the Zionist supporting companies (McDonald's, Starbucks, HP, Amazon, Meta, Burger King, Walmart, etc)
