- Welcome back to Boxing After Dark! Tonight, we revisit the thrilling 2019 World Boxing Super Series Final showdown. It's a clash of titans between the undefeated rising star, Japan's soon-to-be pound-for-pound king, Naoya Inoue, and the seasoned powerhouse of the ring, boxing veteran Nonito Donaire.
- Zábava
Donaire at the time of Donaire 1 was indeed an old man, but he was by no means a weak boxer. After losing to Inoue, he KO'd two young undefeated world champions to earn the right to challenge Inoue again. Legend.
what i thought the fight with Inoue was his last fight?
@@nootnot4548 English is not my first language so I'm sorry if it's hard to understand, but there was the first match between Donaire and Inoue, then Donaire won by knockout against Gaballo (24-0) and Oubaali (17-0), and the next match is the second match between Donaire and Inoue.
That fight with donaire was one of the best fights I have seen in my life
I agree with you broda💯
The best.. this Donaire version and oubali is the peak of his careers..
After this i think its hard for him to became Champ again
i aggree .did you what color Donaire was wearing , goku color scheme and he's as strong as goku , tough as hll 😮😮
@@crisalcantara7671 Ikrrr I thought I was the only one that noticed
Donaire’s promise to his kids and his general demeanor was truly exceptional. Props to him.
And props to Inuoe for lending Donaire the trophy. Shit got me teary
@@nitsuj6555 I’m right there with you. You don’t see this kind of display enough in sports or life
@@nitsuj6555Asian respect is something else 🙏🏼🤛🏼
Honestly one of the best sportsmanship moments in any sport of all time. Shoutout to Donaire for teaching his kids the importance of the power behind your words, Inoue for allowing him to keep his promise, and Donaire again for acknowledging Inoue's honorable gesture by encouraging his kids to thank him. All around class by both fighters.
Unreal, so much respect for them. To bring a trophy home after a loss and use that as a teaching moment for your kids is so fuckin impressive.
Mfs keep saying “if he fights in usa” when Inoue already did 😂
Then they just don't comment ever again lol
Just trying to disappear millions of witnesses lol
This podcast with Mike is 2-3 years old.
@@KahPahHalaokay and? 😅 People are still saying fight in USA
@@KahPahHala And Inoue had already fought four times outside of Japan 2-3 years ago.
Against NOBODIES, Inoue would get smashed fighting Tank Ryan Devin Shakur Loma Crawford Spence Charlos Teo Rolly OR ANY TOP AMERICAN BOXER! The dude is NOT coming here to get EXPOSED!

Douche: 118? Who the hell fights in that f*cking division?
Tyson: Bantamweights.
Douche: Yeah, but who...?
Tyson: Some bad motherf*ckers. Yeah some killers.
Casual was trying to diss smaller fighters.. before Tyson caught him off, feels like he was going to start shitting on smaller divisions only to realize boxing's heavyweight goat appreciates the fine art, despite weightclass, the way he does not.
What's even more funny, is that inoue would whoop him. Funny when bigger non fighters talk smack about smaller fighters when they'd get beat up
How do you not know that's Action Bronson? 😂 and he wasn't talking down on anyone. He was seriously just asking Mike who is good in that weight division. Calm down. You clearly don't know how to interpret a questioning/interested tone and a dismissive/negative tone.
A lot of you boxing fans might not know this but Nonito Donaire and his wife are very active in the local Bay Area TKD community
I'm 30 now but back in high school I qualified for the Junior Olympics and he and his wife came out to warm us up, hold pads and overall support us
I will never forget that he took time to support a bunch of local TKD kids
Gotta respect Donaire. The first fight was a war. Who can question Inoue's ability to take punishment? That fight made Inoue an even more formidable boxer/warrior.
😂 Donaire was almost 40 and Inoue barely beat him. 😂 You know it’s rigged for Inoue. Donaire was holding back.
@@ALLBASKETBALLTV1 he broke his face. How the fuck was that rigged? You boxing fans are more dumb then mma ones
Weirdo
@@ALLBASKETBALLTV1He broke his orbital bone. That’s holding back?
@@ALLBASKETBALLTV1a monkey talking nonsense and making stupid statements
Deontay Wilder catching a stray bullet with that comment about his punching power 😂😅
yeah bro wthh 😆bro's hook isnt as a good as a heavyweights right bruhh
It was a compliment....
Donaire was the perfect final boss for the wbss
Humble, Handsome Naoya Inoue....❤️❤️
that fact Donaire went on to win the wbc after this fight SPEAKS VOLUMES. Both fighters are wildly dedicated and great
Donaire in his prime would have had a good chance against that version of Inoue. But we haven’t seen the best of Inoue yet.
inoue is still growing, hes not on his prime yet
Inoue is 30 and asian, 30 is an Asian's prime year. Especially for a lower weight class fighter who relies importantly in speed
inoue 31 now at 122lbs. Manny won cotto on his 30 at 145lbs. Dismantle margarito on his 31, catchweight 150lbs. The day they fought margarito was 165lbs and Manny was 148lbs. Dont compare its too far. Inoue might not be on his peak right now, he cant reach that far givin the age he is now and the adjustment he needa to do the be comfortable in higher weight class. Inoue certainly a great fighter, but all his fights are calculated, there is almost no risk. He plays on his comfort zone.
@@sefyap3692 there’s always a risk and he has challenged the division he’s fought in you can’t doubt that. He’s cleared out bantamweight and unified it, undisputed in two divisions, has defended his titles and fights regular. He’s definitely pushing his comfort zone.
But honestly you can’t fault the guy for the culture of boxing now. Calculated fights are done on both ends Inoue doesn’t get the say it’s whatever will get him the belts, push his career, and bring in money same goes for whoever wants to challenge him. I think it’s very distasteful for slight Inoue for current boxing culture and trends.
Also let’s not compare the guy to Manny that mf’s a unicorn no one’s gone from Manny’s first division to the division he fought Margarito for a reason. You can’t expect to hold Inoue to the same standard.
@@school1865 but Pacquiao always train in the Philippines while boxing outside of the country. Given that 3 days to 1 week is the least time to recover from jetlag. Lessen his training to 3 weeks.
Unlike Inoue who fights regularly in Japan. Inoue fought in America, yes. But unlike Donaire and Pacquiao that almost in their prime, fights outside their country yearly.
I think that's why Mayweather calls out Inoue to fight outside Japan, same as him who almost all of his fights were inside America.
Great fight. Inoue's a best and Donaire's no joke. Both are classy fighters for sure. 👊
Anyone who can get floored by a direct hit from Naoya's liver annihilators, survive the count, and finish the fight is a man you simply cannot disrespect. It's one thing to have a chin that can keep you conscious, it's an entirely different thing having the sheer force of will necessary to face your own body's desperate demands to shut down, and say "no."
@@Tenchigumi Reminds me of how Gatti got up from Ward's liver blow too. Donaire's got a lot of heart.
Because few seconds he was running and then he felt. At least 13 seconds
@@danny24042002 Honestly, anyone who can recover from a perfect liver shot at ALL and finish a fight is still worthy of respect, regardless if it's 13 seconds or five minutes. Seriously, that kind of pain is far worse than even getting kicked in the nuts. Your body LITERALLY tries to force you to lie down and stop moving, not just with incredible pain, but with brain signals to your muscles and cardiovascular system. It takes an ungodly amount of willpower to resist that.
Yeah, I get your point that Donaire kind of forced a long count by running around the ring. But in the grand scheme of things, you still have to be impressed by his heart.
@@Tenchigumi i agree
I can't believe Naoya is 31 yrs old! He looks like he just finished college at 22 lmao
Yeah, he looks more like a high school kid.😅
You missed some details on how naoya was managing his busted eye throughout that fight. Look it up. Insane IQ
And you missed the detail that nonito is just to old. He's 36 here lol.
@@floppycat7166 36 isn't that old crawford is the same exact age and he was still dominating in that division and only lost to inoue there
Pacquiao and Floyd are still winning at this age. 36 isn't old
@@floppycat7166 im filipino and don’t even deny the legitimacy of naoya inoue as a p4p champ. Magaling si donaire pero mas magaling lang talaga si inoue.
@@BruisedBlossoms that's old man, way past prime 20-30 is prime. Don't compare manny or floyd they are exceptional.
People who try to discredit his win over donaire in theyre 1st fight ALWAYS ignore the fact that he fought with a broken nose and cracked orbital bone and STILL dominated donaire
ya because he got punched real hard, he is not come to the fight with cracked orbital bone and broken nose!
@@slothypunk thats a 1 in a 1000 punch. How many people get cracked by a hard punch??
He fought the old donaire and almost lost but that's not the reason. He's been cherry picking his opponent, fighting unknown fighters. I'm not saying he's not a great boxer, he has a great potential.
@@ultramarinechaplain88 how many? It depends who is the puncher, I know I can punch hard and cracked cheek bones with standard gloves, the reason I'm not the best boxer right now is because my foot work and skill isn't up par with professional otherwise I'd be up there. With that says if inoue wants to fight me, I'd most likely lose but if he is underestimating me I can punch real hard and break his nose and orbital bones easy!
@@floppycat7166 if you accept anyone to fight then it's not smart fight, first of all in order for someone to fight him he needs to be Worthy and he needs to bring big $$$$ otherwise why risks it!????
Wow. Legendary stuff.

Thanks brother!
Donaire is one of if not the hardest hitter in the lower weights and was even on the p4p list . Not only did inoue looked up to him inoue got the chance to be in the ring with a future hall of famer .
Awesome fight!
Crazy how an old Donaire is Inoue's most competitive fight to this day and then he absolutely demolished Donaire in the rematch. It is crazy.
People sleep on Donaire. Dude is a 4 weight world champ and took on some of the best guys from 115-126 during his prime 💯
@@vince11harris Yup. I think a lot of really good fighters are overlooked just because they fight at the lower weight classes
@@vince11harrisyessir💯
@@papafoundry5537 most people outside of Japan, Philippines and Mexico don’t care about the lower weight classes
Due to Monster double vision in 2nd rd that make it fight of the year. Without double vision imo it would have been 4rd or so KO for Monster. Old Donaire KO the last 2 guys for the rematch with Monster and KO 2nd rd. Donaire is live dog still.
All firepower and class. Seems rare these days.
This fight is the one that made Inoue even more of a monster.
This would be the fight of the decade if both of them are on their prime!!!
these encounters are passing of the torch
Inoue confront grandpa donaire and gave him a bag of candies.
your witnessing a very special fighter right Infront of are eyes, and will go down in the books as the greatest of all time
He needs to fight someone who’s in their prime & on his level. I agree with your statement completely but he fights straight bums . Guys it looks like I can beat hell (I understand I can’t just saying). He reminds me of Rocky Balboa before he fought Klubber Lane .
Looking at how invincible Inoue now, I can't believe he got tested by Donaire like this.
when putting together the highlights you should show the clips in order not back and forth but i really enjoyed the video
Inoue is indeed good, we can't deny it
If Inoue did not turn out hugging he would been KO 😂 but he recalls I have to do the mayweather style this time. 😂
This fight was so fun to watch
Donaire in his prime vs Inoue would have been spectacular! Perhaps with different results as well.
Both great warriors
If you've ever thrown a punch in your life, your body will just sway on its own as you watch this fight. It's that good
Super quality fighter
Donaire had the lenght, his jabs were working. Actually had the technique and still got that counterpunch albeit slower but, just like most of his losses.. He always wanted to land that big left in a hurry.. He used to be so patient and techincal but he fell in love with his left so much
Came for inoue but stayed for donaire...dudes a legend..hands down.
Man is so amazing fight each other literally boxing not hugging
Holy fudge !!!! What a fight. It's feel so painful for both. Jizz... They are tough guys... Both.
Best fight ever.
Two monster in the ring = the greatest fight
It's funny how Mike says the Monster 😂
Naoya needs go up and fight the lightweights because that’s where he can really solidify his legacy.
class knows class
THE URUK HAI THEME 😤
this is the fight of the decade for me. all the sweeeet science, heart of champs, just pure entertainment. i rewatch it whenever i want to chase some dopamine lol. both fighters learned a lot from each other. one of them is apparently respect. i would argue donaire could bully him whilst inoue was doublevisioned but chose to keep the fight on to give us entertainment but in reality, inoue is just a pure, next level monster.
Crazy is that inoue said that he learned from donaire how to fight with broken eye socket
Donaire is a true warrior, absolutely scary
the best
What's the song that starts at 1:40?
hes got anime and god on his side
8:37 It's fucking cool when he's getting bloody face yet seems he's having fun🙂
Inoue is the truth. Donaire is a legend
Almost all boxers get found out...the world is a big place and a nemesis is always waiting for you. It' s Inoue's time but there are boxers out there who will unlock the door.
Great video and you got a subscriber from me, by why not mention that Claressa Shields was the was the other boxer who undisputed in two weight classes? She is the first person to do it.
Bc she was inaugural champion of multiple belts bro. Thats absolutely ludicrous if we’re pretending that’s the same thing as Bud or Naoya . Like flat out mental. It’s impressive she’s generational. But that’s nothing like the undisputed belts the other 2 won.
It's easier to win titles for women because the talent pool is significantly smaller. Men have far more boxers in each weight division compared to women, so winning titles is harder
She could beat Terrence Crawford or spence easy..
*2:21** FYI sir, some of those craziest and exciting fights happened in lower weight divisions.*
his worst nightmare was Nerry 🤣🤣
hey LLOK UPTH THIS FIGHTHER CALLED THHE MONTHHHTHER
Inoue is no Joke to survive Donaire beat down is very impresive
The Pain killer
Tough man's sport
Imagine him vs Lomachenko 😮
You know the mf is dangerous when he have 90% knockout rate in title fight, and almost all of his k.o is when his opponent is on defensive state 😂
9:12 crazy counter left hook
The announcer saying “it must be hard not to believe your own hype” put his foot in his mouth.
In this fight if only donaire was in its prime im sure he can knock up the monster. This fight was one of the best fight.
I would have loved seeing him matched up against Manny before he retired!!
Donaire is too old when they fought
If donaire in his prime
I believe that if Donaire is a little younger, he would've beaten Inoue. But it doesn't matter, it's just ifs.
A clear STERIODS? 😂 a very fast recovey? 😂
2 judges: judged the fight. 116-111, 117-109?😅

Good video, but the balls to say that stare down would make young George Foreman, your sadly mistaken.
Banzaiiii inoue!!!!!
Bruh i remembered this fight but donaire was 38 yrs
Nery exposed her chin, if Inoue really wants Gervonta Davis, Inoue will end badly
That old and not a prime donaire but a best fight

Lol the purple hair. Why
Lmao he won a title after losing only to lose it again to the same dude. Inoe said Nope

Why put out old fight
Donaire is a tough opponent
Fight him with prime Pacquiao you'll see his nightmare😂
Real life ichiro Miata
if only he fights in use
The monster ONLY in japan.. 😂😂😂😂 Try your monster in Mexico,
Let dude breathe
Chill with all that Deontay Wilder power comparison bruh
He s the most exciting…since..Recent Tyson…past sugar ray..Durant…Ali…
What would have happened to him if the man inside that ring was Pacquiao, not Donaire? Prime Pacquiao vs. prime Inoue-Inoue still has no chance of winning, and that's a fact. The real monster is an angry Pacquiao; even an older version of Pacquiao would still give Inoue trouble.
Inoue is so damn lucky there isn't a Manny Pacquiao in his weight class right now
Everyone will then see who is really SPECIAL 🙄🤦
This commentator is hilarious. Clearly has a weird obsession with Deontay Wilder.
He could’ve compared his left hook to any other superstar lightweight but he chose the highest scoring psi puncher in boxing history.
Screw it. Let’s see a match between Inoue and Wilder!
