It only pumps when a float goes up to a certain level. Yes the manufacturer says not to use an air admittance valve, but I had no choice here and it works fine.
@@looksgoodfrommyhouse9227 Thanks no smell? Looking at the Liberty 404 pump which should be similar design to yours and I have no vent as well, and of course they say no AAV? What soilds go down the drain?
@@looksgoodfrommyhouse9227 I'm up in the air between this pump and the Everbilt 1/3 unit. I like the size and versatility of this unit. I messed up and put my sink drain in my wall to high and now I have to pump it out vs gravity. I have my reservations about the vent but it appears it's working fine in this instance.
It works fine long as you don’t put much other than water in it I’d say. I’d be interested to see if you can do a garbage disposal with it. Probably not. Also, if it gets stinky just run hot water for a couple pump cycles and then put a couple cap fulls of bleach in it and let it sit.
thank you so much for making this video!! was the biggest help
Why no s trap on the sink?
How does it keep pumping now?
Manufacturer says not to use the AAV, but olumber says it will work.

Did the Sanivite come with connection parts
Yes
Thank you for the video. Does the unit have a grinder to handle food particles?
No, it’s for gray water only. There is a version that is for toilets and can handle grinding.
Did you ever notice any smell with the studor vent?
Nope. It worked pretty well. If a lot of food scraps went in it would probably smell so it’s important not to let that happen.

the vent is supposed to be a two-vent?
Great video! Is this the plus or 3 version?
Sorry I really don’t know. It’s the Sanivite gray water drain pump. I think the saniplus is a macerating upflow toilet and I don’t know what the 3 is.
