As someone who has been playing both games for a long time, let me tell you something.
It's unfair to compare the 2, Call of duty is more CQB focused, fast paced small battles gameplay.
While battlefield focused on more larger battles with a lot of vehicles.
Sometimes, you need a bit of both

    • @aveteranplayer6403
      @aveteranplayer6403 Před 2 lety +20

So what we should be compare it? Is both shooter games of course it should be compare on its core engine and gameplay that both offers to us. For sure, both offers different things but it also plausible to compare 2 like Call of Duty has not destruction but it is very good optimized meanwhile Battlefield has it but very bad optimized it if you compare to cod. Hit reg and netcode are the biggest problems in BF, while in Cod the biggest problem was always how they balance the gameplay core.

I had never even heard of battlefield until the release of battlefield 3, I finally decided to give Battlefield 3 a shot around the time MW3 released, note that up to that point I had played every call of duty between big red one and MW3. There was a lot of clash between bf3 and mw3 back then so that publicity is what made me aware of BF3. Anyway the battlefield 3 campaign blew me away, of course we all know the two missions I'm talking about, but also some of the infantry moments were sick too like when the Russian troops are paradropping in and you charge the Frontline as bullets start to whiz by. The multi-player had a bit of a learning curve for me, but once I finally adjusted I became a full battlefield convert.

For me I have been leaning more towards Battlefield for multiplayer, and COD for the campaign and zombies. As was said in this video, Battlefield is focused more on squad gameplay, so playing with friends and trying to do dumb stuff and have fun is easier in Battlefield than COD. There is also the problem COD has with Meta weapons and strats. In Battlefield, if there is a godly sniper stopping you from moving forward, or a guy set up with a tank or something, you just get in a vehicle to get past them or swap up your strategy and loadout to take them out. In COD it just seems that with how some people just seem to know every in and out of the maps and guns, there is almost no counter to how some people play.

Battlefield games stand out. There’s a reason there’s a huge community still playing 4, and 1, and even 3. While call of duty games it doesn’t matter as much as long as you’re playing the new one.

Highly disagree, In order to be good you have to be extremely committed, learning recoil patterns, finding good classes, certain movements, especially with the new gunsmith system that added ways to find what you like, make your weapon better at whatever you want. And your last statement "I just don't think that spending 2 hours getting kills at the back of a huge map is very fun" just proves my point, anyone with more than 2 brain cells will know that the action will always be at the objective areas where most of the team is so if you die then you can respawn on your squad and jump straight into the action again, but this is simple knowledge so obviously cod players don't understand this

I started with COD4. Loved it so much. I was proud of clocking over 1 month playing time haha. Bought all the other modern warfares. My first battlefield experience came at BF4. A lot of bugs at the start and a whole new learning curve. Since that moment though I never went back. It just looks like a war with all the vehicles, chaos, destruction. BF1 was amazing after that too. BFV, was okay but didn't have an impact like BF4 and BF1. I'm super pumped for the next battlefield again. There's just something I find more fun about all the team work, destruction and vehicle use. Not that I'm taking shots at COD, I had a lot of fun with those in the past.

So I am a diehard Battlefield fan. I started playing battlefield at the age of 10 with some friends of mine, We started with Battlefield bad company 2. Ever since then, I have gotten each battlefield game. This started with me disliking Call of Duty, as I adopted this loathing from the battlefield community. Call of Duty is a very good game. I have played COD WW2, with my buddies. I found the lack of community in Call of Duty surprising as usually in Battlefield, there is a sense of community among the players. This is why I think that Battlefield is better than Call of Duty. But, over the years I have come to see Call of Duty as a respectable game with it's own quirks and player base. Because of this I think that the conflict between these two masterpieces of Video games is pointless. But I think that both sides should accept each others as equals and just leave it at that.

But BF I also grew up with, but didn’t invest the same amount of time as i did in CoD. Back in the day it really depended on what type of warfare I wanted to play, and what mood I was in ofc. There is no winner for me, but I gotta say that Battlefield got me more hyped and I’ve been playing it very consistently since Battlefield 4/5. (Battlefield 5 is way too underrated). So yeah, they both had a great impact on my childhood. But storyline-wise CoD had the greatest way of telling it for me

  • @PrasathMGM

I played both the games for long time.
In COD (Arcades) , our enjoyment is mostly from getting kills . In a long run of cod , that getting of kills more and more with camping or RNG makes the point of getting kills effectiveless ( which was our initial fun at the start of COD).
If we move to Arma or R6S (Stimulations), getting kills are damn hard . In that games , its fun to play them , but it causes an eagerness to get kills more .
But in case of Battlefield, its a semi arcade semi stimulation genre . A sweetspot between arcade( BF gunplay) and stimulation( BF gameplay) genres. Its not that hard to get kills like in Arma like games or its not that easy to get kills like in cod does . Thus Battlefield is a Neutral experience. It doesn't cause effectiveless or eagerness of getting kills . So , IMO, BF is a grand point of these two genres .

When MZ was released, even with its problems, it was still a great game. The weapons you could choose from all fostered a unique style of gameplay you had to work with and play around. When CW came into the picture, that went away and for the most part, the stronger weapons all foster the same play style (more or less) which is the arcade shooter most of us have come to hate. Not only that, but raven/blizzard activision stopped caring for SUCH a great game. I'm hoping on the battlefield train for a LONG time after what raven/blizzard/activison did to their last game.

I personally love both franchises and I’m someone who used to be a hardcore Battlefield Stan. They scratch different itches. I love the fast-paced multiplayer, story mode, and zombies mode in Call of Duty, but I also love the massive, all-out warfare of Battlefield, as well as its overall more grounded and realistic approach. I usually would stick to only Battlefield, as I try to only commit to one shooter game for a period of time, but I’ve found myself able to play enough of both games and still experience everything they have to offer and get to absurdly high ranks. It is slower to rank up and earn things in Battlefield, but it’s still possible to play both and enjoy both to the fullest. I particularly liked playing Call of Duty WW2 and Battlefield V at the same time because they offered different but crucial things from the same era (COD WW2 had well-known battles and the Russian front while BFV had lesser-known battles and the Pacific theater).

In general here's my take (and yes, I've played call of duty and battlefield) : Battlefield is a more strategic game and it offers huge maps with a lot of epic situations and lots of destruction, you can pretty much destroy everything in the game. Call of duty on the other hand may not offer those huge moments but it has amazing gunplay and very fun, fast paced shooting, plus it has warzone which is a huuge hit and does have a large map and isn't that cqb based. I am more of a battlefield fan myself but we all have to agree that while both games may have their flaws, they are both equally amazing. I am personally more hyped for bf 2042 and its new modes but I am sure that there are other people who are more hyped for cod vanguard. After all, this entire "war" is opinion based and no game is "better" than the other one. Thanks for posting. I'm buying both; BF 2042 & COD Vanguard. WTH. I'm retired, winter is coming. For about $100 each (about), I'll get hundreds of hours of play. Well worth it, even if I tire or don't like one, I'll still get lots of hours of entertainment. Thank you for your time. Oh ya, all I do is camp, and shot players as they come around corners. I'm to old to run around. ;)

BF has been know for the craziest multiplayer wars but call of duty focused more on campaign which is ironic as EA literally owns a story focused brand which is Mass effect quite ironic 😂
